PROLOGUE: THE META-GODS

The universe is a graveyard of consumed worlds, but none burn as brightly as Torol.

Torol is a colossus—sixteen times the size of Earth, with a radius stretching a staggering 102,580 kilometers. It drifts through the cosmos

in a slow, majestic dance, requiring 10,453 days to complete a single orbital revolution around its host star, Pax. Pax is a brilliant white dwarf, a cosmic anchor holding twenty-seven massive planets in its gravitational grip. Yet, even among its sister worlds, Torol is unique.

It is a world painted in hues of deep green and vivid red.

Oceans cover half of its immense surface, while the remaining half is split

across 102 sprawling continents. Everywhere on land, plants of impossible

colors blanket the terrain. Among them, the most common is the Rassbur—a resilient, oxygen-dependent

plant edible to almost every living being. Against the vibrant sky, the

hyper-dense, titanic forests of Torol rise so high that their distant backdrops

look like sharp, dark silhouettes.

Living within this breathtaking biosphere are 975 distinct

intelligent species, each boasting their own advanced civilizations. Trillions

of lives flourish here, from microscopic, electroscopic life forms to entities

of staggering physical proportions. There are even whispered legends of the

Quantum Race—beings that blur the line between physical matter and pure energy.

Yet, all life on Torol ultimately bows to a singular entity:

The Gaia.

Gaia is the World Tree, a 30-kilometer-tall monument of

biological majesty. She does not feed on soil or rain; she sustains herself

solely on pure, concentrated Paxlight. To the trillions of intelligent beings

inhabiting the planet, Gaia is not just a plant. She is the literal soul of Torol, an ancient anchor as old as life itself.

But Torol holds a greater secret, one buried deep beneath its crust. Surrounding the planet's sub-core lies Element-Infinitix. Comprising 7.96%

of the planet's mass, Infinitix is an indestructible, primordial element. It is

the ultimate prize in the cosmos: a fuel source that can power spaceships

indefinitely, a raw material capable of forging galaxy-obliterating weapons,

and—if fused into the cells of a living organism—the key to absolute, eternal

life.

For eons, Torol was safe, because it was the home of the

universe's ultimate apex beings:

The Zeniork.

The Zeniork are omnipotent, godlike beings of supreme intelligence. They possess no permanent physical form, appearing to the lower

races as shimmering, transparent clouds shaped like shifting giants. They communicate through absolute telepathy, and the strongest among them can peer up to 10,000 years into the future.

The Zeniork are immortal, but their existence is a cycle of continuous evolution. It takes a minimum of 100,000 years for a Zeniork to complete their evolutionary cycle. When they do, they face a reality-shattering choice. They ascend to Meta-Godhood. Upon reaching this state, a Zeniork becomes so overwhelmingly powerful that a single errant thought could accidentally obliterate an entire galaxy. Knowing this dangerous

truth, the ascended Meta-Gods must abandon Torol and leave this reality entirely, migrating to an exclusive, pocket universe built by their ancestors.

Before a Zeniork departs for meta-godhood, they are granted a final, sacred gift: Soul Birth.

This unique ability can only be used once. As the Zeniork ascends, they channel their remaining terrestrial power to birth a single offspring soul. This new soul is crystallized and safely stored inside a quantum energy core shell. For 1,000 years, the shell incubates, absorbing the planet's ambient energies until it hatches into a self-aware Zeniork child, born with the inherited memories and knowledge of its ancestors.

But a child, even a god's child, is vulnerable. It can be killed. And worse, Soul Birth is an uncertain, unstable ability. Sometimes, more than one soul forms within a single shell, fracturing the divine lineage.

As the old Zeniork ascend and the new ones wait in their cocoons, the balance of Torol has begun to tilt. The gods are leaving. And the universe's most ruthless monsters have noticed.
