A burst of haki was enough to knock the guards and citizens unconscious. The captain was still standing although he was quickly dealt with thanks to my archeologist.

As we approached the upper yard I saw giant trees covering the entire place. I wonder why it's called yard instead of forest, oh well....
The fatso with goggles was not that strong physically but his techniques were no joke. The sixth sense or as he liked to call it 'mantra' was something really hard to deal with even for me.
The fight was a real eye opener for me. It made me realize that I've gotten complacent with my powers. I believed no one could take my punches with the force of a black hole. But there are other methods to deal with my attacks, such as anticipating it and counterattacking me.
I had to use by wood golem jutsu while my clones used their bodies to trap the guy and defeat him all while my lovely crewmate robin just observed the fight and made some snarky comments like 'captain truly is the lowest scum in history'.
Is it just me or is her personality warping? I knew It was a mistake to introduce her to jojo culture!
But right when we thought the fight was over, lightning stuck and the omniscient fake god enel showed up.
"Why hello there slim shady."
"Hmm?"
"Mind telling me what powers you have to aid in your godhood?"
"Hoo~ you're approaching me?"
"Well I can't punch you if I don't get closer can I ?"
"You think you can beat god?"
"I've met a god once, you don't seem like one to me."
"Very well then, let me educate you myself. I was wondering what that strange thing you did to knock out my henchmen was but I'll kill you now. It is..."
"Robin, try not to get between my fight."
"Roger."
Turning back I saw an enraged god glaring at me for ignoring him while he was delivering some speech about his majesty.
Without a word he blasted the entire area with a thunder strike. The attack would've stopped my heart if I had not used a wood spike to earthen the thunder.
It seems the dude was a thunder logia which is a bit too overpowered in my opinion. But I was lucky because judging from his combat mastery, this guy probably underestimates all his opponents and never bothers to improve.
His god complex would be his downfall today.
Enel was surprised to see that I was able to hit him. To be honest he had already predicted my attack with his 'mantra' but he let me hit him believing it to be futile since he is a logia.
The expression he had after I hit his abdomen with haki was quite funny. I could've killed him by using [Compression] but that would be such a waste. I needed to win this fight using haki only or I would never get stronger. I've been relying too much on my ninjutsu nowadays.
He kept spamming lighting strikes while I dodged them. A few of them grazed me and it was enough to make me want to give up and go unconscious, but unfortunately my stupid pride won't let me stay down.
The two of us clashed without any consent of our surroundings. The ground was charred black due to being hit my constant lightning. The trees were uprooted as I kept using them as a footing to evade his lightning. The high trees made it easy for to utilize my surroundings. The lightning would simply hit the tree before getting to me if enel wasn't paying attention.
Enel was fuming that I was still able to land strikes on him, but he calmed down when he realized his mantra was not usable when he was distracted.
The fight soon became a one sided beat down where he would predict my attacks and just electrocute me. I should've been fried to a crisp by now but strangely, my body was still in good shape. The burns from the high voltage shocks quickly healed by releasing steam and the cracked ribs got together back in place.
There was no other explanation other than this being a devil fruit power. So I decided to trust my regeneration and start fighting recklessly.

However my stamina was nearing its end as I charged through the lighting dragon and punched him in the jaw with my haki clad fist. He responded by hitting me with a lighting clad fist for the first time.
I was not expecting that as he had only spammed lighting beams at me till now. It seems he's desperate to win.
How fun...
He was knocked out when I hit him for the 'n'th time, however it seems my mouth had something to say about him....

Isn't this the script of a game where the demon king powers up right when the hero thinks it's over and makes a comment to belittle him?

Haki spread out as a pressure on par with my haki descended on me. The birds at a distance ran away in fright and the animals close to us were knocked out cold.

Ughh...why can't I be the protagonist. Why do cringey dudes with god complexes always get the good stuff. First the reincarnator and now this guy..
I want to be a shounen protagonist too dammit! Let me have the talent like robin and enel to just blitz through these hurdles. I haven't even managed to activate my fruit power yet!
