(1st PoV Reo)-----
"So.. what do you want to know?" She asked. We're already the halfway before we arrived to the city.
"From start I guess...." I said to her. As if she was understanding what I'm saying she replied.
"Let's see... to sum it up... I was a shard of her... but then.. as I was about to disappear.. Suddenly I arrived in the void.... and become part of it.... that's all...." I stopped my track, she also stopping her track in that moment. After that our eyes meet each other.
"Is that really all of it...." I said, she sighed then started to opened her mouth.
"It would be a long story-" she said to me.
"I'm in all ear.." I said.
"How about the city?" She asked.
"That can be wait... I'm more interested in your story..." Sighed in defeat she mumbled 'fine' in a low voice. In that moment we took a seat in the ground.
"After she gone... I... the shard of her didn't disappeared... That time... I feel like I'm drowning in a dark sea... There's no light there and it feels so suffocating... I can't breathe.. I can't open my eyes and I can't do anything about it.... That time I felt like I'm going to 'disappear'... " she stopped for a moment, looking toward the night sky. I waited patiently, but the look in her eyes gave me a familiar feeling, it was the look of eyes that I'm used to know before. Then a thought came out in my mind.
'Maybe I shouldn't have asked...' as I was about to opened my mouth she started to continue.
"I accepted it because all of my memory were blank... every time I tried to remember it... It felt hurt so badly.... by then I accepted that I was really going to disappear.... But... the part of me refused to do that.... it felt like it was saying.. ๐ ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ป'๐ ๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐..." I widened my eyes in that moment, my heart was beating faster than before.
It might be just imagination for me but, the last part of her word was overlapping with a long distant voice that was feel familiar. I became silence in that moment, swallowing back my word that I want to say.
"it has no voice... but I feel like I understand it... the part of me began to spoke again... ๐ ๐จ๐ซ ๐จ๐ง๐๐ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ ๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ต๐ถ๐บ... I can't disappear yet... that was the first time in my life, I refused to die..." I can see a small smile appeared in her face with a grateful look.
"After that... I didn't feel like I was going to disappear anymore.... I began to opened my eyes... it was a pitch black darkness... I started to looking at my body... but it was distorted.... I didn't panicked maybe because I don't understand... I don't know but I feel so calm in that place... moreover rather than cold... A warm feeling spreading through my body..." she mumbled.
I instantly know what place she was referring to. Then silence enveloping us for a moment.
"You can stop it.. you know..." I suddenly broke the silence.
"It's fine..." She said with her usual gentle voice toward me. then she began to continue her story.
"That time I gained my first knowledge and a common sense... It told me that I will going to disappear no matter what, but I can live... in exchange that I'm going to be part of it... there's a requirement on it.. first it prevents me from creating my body and I can only travel around the void until it fulfiled.. There's no other restrictions except to serve the one who will wield that power...."
'Why should they care about that anyway..' I still confused about that part.
"I agreed it... it was a little painful process... a bunch of knowledge was getting stuffed in my mind... but I'm bearing it... by the time passed I started to getting used to it...." She said. there's no sadness or regret in her voice.
'The pain was no joke... Her word was almost like a perfect lies.. If I haven't go through it... I probably believe her...'
"One day.. well that was timeless place.. but whatever..." She joked a little as if she was knowing what is in my mind. I give her a wry smile as she was about to continue again.
"I and the void sensed a powerful soul... it doesn't even have a track of reincarnation or anything that related to second life... so I marked you by the times you die, you will ended up at that place... I don't know but I was hoping for you to passed in that moment...."
'I guess more or less I know what happened next....'
"By the time you arrived... We observe you...to our surprised you actually know this place... It trigger the trial in that moment.. And in that time we read your memory... That time I know what I used to be.... But I can't be her.. moreover I was already being dyed in a Void color... At least I will stay beside you just like before.... that was what I thought.... I was a bit regretful about you to undergo that trial.... I also feared that you wouldn't pass the second trial... But you successed... I was really glad at that time.." (AN: The word "Moreover I was already being dyed in a Void color.." I REPEAT!! IT WAS DYED WHICH MEAN THAT PERSON WAS CHANGED ENTIRELY NOT LIKE HE/SHE USED TO BE IN THE PAST AND NOT TAINTED OR ANYTHING RELATED TO THAT SH*T!! SO DON'T MISUNDERSTOOD IT!! I BEG YOU...)
"As I thought..." I'm mumbled in a low voice.
"What am I exactly... I know it would be unrealistic to say that I'm a Player... Even thought being a mere disposable 'Pawn' is fine by me... thinking it more would just made me even strayed from my goal... let's just cast it aside for a moment..' I sighed, then glancing at her.
"You roughly know the rest right..." she said as our eyes meet.
"Yeah.. but what's the reason you must stand beside me...." I asked her. A gentle smile appeared on her face as she started to extended her right hand toward my face, after that she gently caressing my cheek.
'Soft...' Her eyes didn't even hide the affection of her toward me.
But she keep silence, I noticed that her lips is starting to opened so I waited patiently.
"You might not aware about it but... you're the one who giving me chance to live again even if it isn't from a direct way.... We both know what we've gone through each other... I also already accepted that I can't be her and would never be her..." She said, but then a mischievous smile appeared on her face.
'She is really something....' I smiled because of her antic. Under the moonlight in the night as the wind breeze passing our body, we both staring each other faces. I could see her hair fluttering because of the breeze, making a very beautiful spectacle I could ever see in this life. This time, maybe giving me another reason for to live.
"Other than that I must serve you and the way we see the world was almost same... also to be honest I don't have any reason to stay with you...
