Chapter 11 - Sherlock Poirot

(Staci's POV)

I was nervous and scared, because I lost something which was very precious to my father.

A necklace made of silver plating with diamond stones on it. He wanted to gift that to mom who lied still on her bed in the hospital.

"Sweetie, why do look so fuzzy?" my father asked me with a heartened smile, "If anything, speak your mind."

I nodded and looked away from him.

How could I tell him that I lost the very gift he bought for mom.

My mom was suffering a serious paralysis case. She was like for at least 2 years and seeing her like that always saddened my heart.

"I want to go outside," I told my father and walked away out of the room.

I got out my mom's room and started running down the hallway . I was moving my head at every corner of the place as I knew that it was somewhere there but didn't know where. I was running watching sideways and that was the time when I crashed him.

"Are you alright?" I asked a boy in white hospital gown. He was a young boy, Age same as mine with white skin tone, a triangle-shaped face with fringed blondish- brown-hair.

"Yes, not entirely...and if you could….can move your leg?" he asked me.

I looked down and realized that I was actually standing on one of his feet. I jumped away and bowed in front of him, "I'm sorry,"

"Its okay," he said, "Where were you going so slow?" he asked me sarcastically.

In that moment I started crying, tears overflowing which covered my whole face.

He looked at me with a scared face as he thought that somehow he was the reason for my tears.

"I—I—I'm sorry," he said.

I wiped my tears and ran away without saying anything. He looked at me while I was running.

I ran over on the roof and leaned over the railing.

"Where could I have lost it?"

"Think, Staci! Think!"

I pressed my head and closed my eyes, I tried remembering, pressured my head as much as possible but the outcome remained the same. I didn't know where had I lost it.

"Lost something?" asked the boy whom I just stamped.

I jumped in fear as I didn't notice him walking behind me.

"It's not that hard to guess, a girl for your age. It must that you lost something,"

I nodded as I was sobbing. I was still confused about how to react but it didn't matter to me.

"Is this what you're searching for?" he said as he pulled a necklace from his side pocket.

It was similar to the one my father bought for my mother. No, it was the one my father bought.

I snatched it out of his hands and started crying more than before but I was relived that it was safe and more than happy that I found it.

But soon I realized that I didn't find it, it was given to me. I bowed and apologized for my rude behavior and said, "Thank you so much. I don't know why how I lost it, but I got it back. Mom will be so happy. Thank you!"

"No worries, I found it downstairs and was searching for the owner when you charged on me," he said with a smile.

I made a guilty face as I behaved rudely.

"So, for your mom?" he said as he looked up in the sky, "I wish I could have given something,"

"To whom?"

"My Mom," he said with a sad face.

"Well, you can give it to her now. I'll help you buy a gift," I said.

"I would be glad if I could," he said in a grieving manner, "Anyway, we don't know each other's name. I am Kyle. Kyle

Garrison."

"I am Sta—" as I was telling my father came in and said, "Sweetie, she's awake."

I lost all of my rationality and ran towards the room where my mother was kept. I was happy to see her again and talk with.

Everything was good but I never met that boy again nor did I tell him my name. I was always the shy kind but with I was free like bird. I never realized it but inly when he was gone.

I thought I'd never meet him, but guess life has it's own way to make things right because shortly after joining the school I got to know that he was in the same school as mine. Not only that but also in the same club.

I didn't know what I felt, but the only thing I knew was to talk to him and be with him.

But not long ago I realized that he meant more than anything to me.

So, that's the reason why I can't help being jealous when he talks to her.

I can't help myself being disappointed in myself when I see you, Kyle fall for Amy.

I can't.

I just can't.

[Present day]

"Staci?" Carol asked her as it felt like she was spacing out.

"Yes?" she said as she moved her head up and down.

"Emergency meeting?" Carol said.

"Yes," Staci replied as she walked behind her.

We were summoned by the Blood-countess for an emergency.

So, Jason, Amy and I came in together to the club room.

As we were walking we saw Carol and Staci with Mark walking with a dustbin in his hand.

Carol walked in front of us and then went straight to doorknob. From where I was standing she looked pretty pissed.

"Running errands?" I asked Mark.

He had a perplexed look on his face.

"What's up with the dustbin?" Jason cleared it for Mark.

"Oh this— the teacher asked me if I could clean it out and then I met Carol in the way and she pulled me here with her brute force," he replied.

"Well, this is an emergency meeting." I said as I giggled.

As we opened the door we saw someone.

Someone sitting with his legs up on the table with a book in his hand. It wasn't one of us. The book read Sherlock Holmes on it.

So Carol asked, "Excuse me?"

As Carol's voice echoed a head leaned sideways away from the book. It was a guy with large round bottled spectacles. He took his legs down and sat there with no answer.

"Who are you?" asked Carol with a harsh voice.

"Um—" he said as he started looking here and there in search of a name. he turned the book in his hand and said, "I am Sherlock,"

Now, that was the stupidest things I'd ever seen. Telling someone you're Sherlock that too when we were looking at him.

"He is lying, right?" said Mark with suspicious face.

"Oh great! Then I am Hercule Poirot. Nice to meet you. Now, lets have a debate on who's better," I mocked.

Carol glared at me with an unpleased face and this was getting awkward so Amy walked in front and asked him, "Do you think we're idiots?"

"Yeah, at least you five," he replied as he pointed out everyone except Mark.

Come on, are we serious here?

Just because he had suspicious face doesn't mean he was the only one who knew he was lying and who in the hell wouldn't recognize.

"No shit, Sherlock" I exclaimed, "He's not an idiot and we are? What happened to your deductions?"

"Okay, I'm done. Leave. I don't have time for this," said Carol with an irritated face.

"Wait, I wanted to meet Kyle Garrison. Is he here?" he said with quite a sorry face.

"Why? Do I owe you anything?" I asked him.

"Oh! You're Kyle," he said as he walked towards me and handed me a chit, "I was hoping for some donation from you, I mean we are little short on budget this time. Someone didn't manage it," he said as he taunted Carol.

Well, he was right. We didn't do anything. Carol decided the budget for clubs writing all of the clubs' name on a board and then blindfolding herself and choosing whom to get how much on random. It was so haphazard half of the clubs got zero money.

"How much do you want?" I asked him as I could have donate him through the Garrison Corp.

He pointed to the chit asking me to open it. It had numbers inside it.

"Okay pal, tell me something," I said with a devil's smile, "Is moon on sale?" I said as I saw one with ten zeros inside the chit.

"Enough. I can't take it anymore," said Carol as he pulled the boy with his collar and kicked me out.

As she was closing the door, "By the way, that is nice picture. Although I don't understand how it happened but I am happy for you." he said and then ran away.

I walked towards Mark tearing the chit and then threw the bits into the dustbin he was still holding.

"Hey, I am not that idiot." he said.

"Sure," I replied with a sarcastic tone.

"Picture? What picture?" asked Amy which eventually caused me to hear everything with full attention.

"That's what I wanted to talk about," Carol answered as he showed us her phone with a picture displayed in it.

It was a picture of her and Mark over each other on the ground.

"So—you didn't fell for him. You fell on him," I said in a jokey way and everyone beside me started laughing.

"That's smart," Jason added.

"Haha—Very funny. Please help me out," she said an innocent look on his face.

"Oh man!" said Mark as he leaned over to watch the picture with a displeased voice.

"What? You should've enjoyed this?" I enquired.

"Yes, I did. But now they are pairing me with her," he said in a slight disgusted tone.

"Why? Am I that bad?" asked Carol with an enraged voice.

"Nah, you are just too good." he replied with s flickering voice.

"Anyway, this is bad." Staci pointed out, "We should do something about this. Your parents know noting about this, right?" she asked Carol.

"Yeah, about that," Mark spoke in between, "I need to tell you guys something,"

Now what's this going to be?
