"And secondly, why the hell won't I talk to a guy outside? You don't get to control my life"
"It's just for the marriage deal. I won't do the same, so we're even here"
Rose didn't know what to say again. She was short of words. He had said it so quickly, like it was nothing.
"I married you because of my family and not to make them have any doubts about this marriage. None of us is to interact with the opposite gender outside"
"Huh… well th… this penalty fee, I can't guarantee that I won't breach it. And I can't afford this huge amount of money. Besides, you're a rich man, so it's like chicken change to you, so you don't need it" Rose said awkwardly and forced a smile, trying to change his mind.
Instead, Vincent gave her a deadly glare, staring straight into her soul.
Rose immediately looked away.
"Okay, I'll sign it" she said quickly, faking another smile as she took the pen.
She noticed he had already signed. She hesitated for a moment, looked up at him again, and frowned slightly as if showing she was not pleased with the contract.
Then she signed it and handed it back to him, about to stand up and leave.
"Your phone"
Vincent stretched his hand toward her.
Rose sat back down immediately and scrunched her face.
"Wait… are you trying to seize my phone?"she blurted out, then immediately realized how stupid that sounded.
But she couldn't help it, Ethan used to seize her phone too, and that was exactly the same sentence he always used.
Vincent frowned in disgust at her words.
"To save my number, so I can call you anytime you're needed"
"Oh" Rose said.
She immediately brought out her phone, unlocked it, opened her contacts, and passed it to him.
When Vincent returned the phone, she saw how he had saved his name.
Her face scrunched up.
He had saved it as
Husband
Rose found it funny. Why the hell did he save it like that? This man was really something.
Soon, Rose left the study room and went back to her room. She felt tired and decided to arrange her clothes in the wardrobe the next day instead. She took out her nightwear and dropped it on the bed.
After that, she went to take a bath, washing her hair as well. She came out wearing a bathrobe she found in the bathroom, her hair dripping wet.
She prayed there would be a hair dryer in the room, otherwise she would have to use a towel. Fortunately, she found one on a desk near the mirror.
After drying her hair, she changed into her nightwear and finally lay on the bed, closing her eyes to sleep.

In the middle of her sleep, her phone suddenly vibrated on the stool, waking her up immediately.
Rose rubbed her eyes and groaned.
Why would someone be calling her at this time?
She looked at the clock.
12:03.
Who the hell was calling her?
Half-awake, she lazily picked up her phone, and saw the caller:
"Husband"
Rose immediately felt a small boost of energy.
Why was he calling her this late? Was something wrong? Was he in danger?
She quickly picked up.
"Hum hi Vincent… you called? Is anything wrong?"
"Come to my room," his deep voice said directly, then he hung up.
