"hey hey hey be a little gently wont ya i am in quite some pain right now" The Ice shard that inflicted a wound on Adrian was still in his shoulder, some blood started spilling out of the wound after Aria held him by his collar
Aria let go of Adrian, a cold glare lingering in her eyes as she silently used healing magic on him

Adrian looked surprised for a second before replying with a calculative smile "you could say that, 'The Fool'"
although it was very slight and almost unnoticeable a smirk was seen on Aria's face
"i.. wasn't certain of it at first, even with the system window talking about synchronization it was still quite the unbelievable thing" Aria continued
"but i got certain of it when i noticed your status window changed, to think you'd use the system in such a way is beyond me" in the corner of Aria's eyes Adrian's status window was displayed

while Aria was talking Adrian suddenly faltered and rested on Aria's shoulder, blood falling from his mouth "it didn't come with no costs however.."
Aria shocked at his current state quickly tried healing him again "internal injuries? so that's the price for trying to house ki and mana together."
Aria's face contorted from shocked to angry
"there must have been a better way to go about this, you knew the risks all along didn't you? so why go about it like this, why hurt yourself to the brink of death just like that!?"
'woah i guess she really is the main character, for her to worry about someone whose a potential enemy, i couldn't imagine being able to do that' Adrian thought to himself while readjusting himself
"For someone like me, this was the best conclusion i could come up with" he stared at her with an unwavering spirit in his eyes
Aria seeing his spirit wavered for a second then replied "fine then, well i have quite a few questions for you"
Adrian looked at her with a solemn expression "that'll be difficult, for you see i have to eat ice cream with my sister"

Aria massaged her temple and sighed "fine, let me ask you one thing then, how do you have a system?"
adrian thought about how to answer such a question and after a long moment of silence between the two of them he said "#?!#s;d###"
Aria clearly confused by the jumble of static and letters that came out of Adrian's mouth said
"what did you say?"
just then the two of them got a brain splitting migraine as a warning message appeared on both of their screens

the migraine continued assaulting both of them before a message appeared for Adrian alone

Adrian slowly got up, his head on his hand "i am not certain but it appears we can't share information about the system to each other"
Aria got up as well and looked towards the system status window "just what is this 'system'" she muttered to herself
Her eyes moved towards the people on the floor and back towards adrian..?
"in any case good luck dealing with those on the ground, i have to go now thank you for the help bye!" his voice got farther away with every word "
"wait what?!" Aria exclaimed, her hands outreaching to try and catch Adrian but he was too far away "come back here Adrian!!"

Adrian after getting ice cream with Kaya went back to his dorm and laid on his bed 'that was a long day' Adrian thought
'that fight was too close for comfort, that might have been it for me had it not been for Aria'
Adrian's eyes remained set on his status window
"ki" Adrian muttered
ki the main driving force of martial arts, if mana is the lifeline for magicians ki is the lifeline for swordsmen
however it is a well known fact that ki and magic can not coexist together in one body due to the incompatibilities between the two
"So That's the best i could muster with the systems help, huh" he muttered
"it was a good investment to put my 3 weeks of time into but"
adrian bit his lips "it's not good enough."
"and to boot, once my brother gets wind of this he might come to end me himself so im really in a crunch"
"my next goal... should be to gain the ability to deal with ki and magic as itll be a while before ill be able to use my magic"
Adrian thought long and hard until an idea hit him
"The church should be preparing that right?
a smirk went across Adrian's face "in that case let me prepare as well"
The next day Adrian finished classes as per usual but then chose to leave the academy,
"why the hell is this place so hard to get to??" Adrian complained as he came face to face with his 10th crossroads in the slums
"mister.. please a piece of bread please.." a small kid asked Adrian, who was wearing a cloak and concealing his face with a mask
"ah little one, here you go" Adrian said as he gave the kid a gold coin
"a g-gold coin mister?? this can feed me and my family for a month, thank you so much!" the child's face glowed from happiness

"this is the 30th beggar that has come to me in 2 hours.. i didn't know the situation in the slums was that grave" Adrian who has been giving each beggar a cold coin could feel the weight of his pockets becoming less and less
'once i succeed my brother i will make sure such a sight doesn't occur as often' Adrian resolved himself as he entered his 11th crossroad
"hey there lad" he felt the tap of someone on his.. stomach?
adrian looked down to see a dwarf, understanding who he is in a heartbeat he replies enthusiastically "yes sir"
"i've had my eyes on you for quite a while now and have seen all the gold coins you've been giving away, are you sure you can do that?

'that's the golden ticket' Adrian knew of hephaestus , since he was the rising star in the blacksmithing scene, whose debut was a sword so masterfully created it impressed the sword master king in the neighbouring kingdom to wield it as his sword however since 5 years ago he had disappeared due to a situation ongoing in the kingdom and no one was able to find him... until now that is
