Shen Yu turned his head slightly, his dark gaze falling on the omega beside him. Jiang Li walked with his head lowered, shoulders subtly hunched as if trying to make himself smaller, as if shrinking could somehow lessen everything he had just confessed.
"Do you want me to carry you like before?" Shen Yu asked, his voice calm, almost casual, though there was something quieter beneath it—something harder to read.
Jiang Li blinked, startled by the question. He looked up briefly, their eyes meeting for only a second before he quickly looked away again, shaking his head.
