The silence in the penthouse was absolutely deafening. The only sound was the heavy, rhythmic thud of their boots hitting the polished null-stone floor.

Arthur Sterling led the way. His eyes were completely unfocused on the physical world, locked entirely onto the glowing green data stream of the Cosmic Ledger hovering in his vision. The safe path shifted like a living snake, constantly rerouting itself through the sea of lethal red pressure plates.
"Left," Arthur barked, not looking back.
He pivoted sharply, taking a long stride to hit a green tile just as it materialized.
Cassia mirrored his movement perfectly. The rogue bounty hunter was incredibly light on her feet, her crimson dress swishing quietly as she landed right where Arthur had been a second ago.
