Chapter 23 - CHAPTER 23:Tracing the unknown

For the next two days, Raghavan secretly visited the hospital.

Every single day, he would stand at a distance… just to see Pallavi. Without letting her know, without letting himself get too close.

But one day—

She wasn't there.

A sudden uneasiness gripped him.

He rushed to the reception.

"Where is Pallavi? The patient from this room?"

"They've already discharged her," they replied.

Raghavan immediately asked for her address and went there without wasting a second.

But when he reached the house—

It was empty.

"They vacated the place," the neighbors said.

For a moment, the world went silent.

He had no idea where she was.

Slowly… painfully… Raghavan forced himself back to his old state of mind.

"She's safe. She's recovered. That's enough…" he told himself.

"There's no need for me to see her again. I shouldn't create a situation where she has to face me once more."

With that thought, he chose to stay away.

Meanwhile, Pallavi rested at her new home.

Talking to her friend, she said softly,"When I fell from the car… I don't remember anything. But one thing is clear… someone saved me."

Her voice carried both confusion and certainty.

At the same time, Raghavan was at home when a lawyer came to meet him.

"Raghavan… I don't know what state of mind you're in right now," the lawyer said."I don't know why you chose to separate from Pallavi either… but your grandfather gave me something before he was arrested."

He handed over a pendrive.

"He told me to give this to you if he couldn't come out of jail. I got delayed because of certain situations… but here it is."

After saying that, the lawyer left.

Raghavan inserted the pendrive into his laptop.

There was only one file.

A voice recording.

He played it.

It was his grandfather's voice.

"Raghava… I've been wanting to tell you something for a long time…"

His voice echoed with urgency.

"You remember Adithya… your school friend. I believe he was the one who caused your accident."

Raghavan froze.

"And not just that… he somehow knew about your project. Highly confidential details."

"I started investigating him. But all his records were fake. I couldn't trace who he really was…"

A pause.

"Recently, I found the truth."

"His real name is Aryan."

"He belongs to a powerful gangster family. Because of the threats around them, they hid his identity and sent him to your school under a false name."

Raghavan clenched his fists.

"I still don't know how he got access to your project… or why he tried to kill you."

"But one thing is certain… he's different from his family. He wanted a normal life. He even asked them to let him leave everything behind."

"No one listened."

"Be careful, Raghava. Protect Pallavi."

The recording ended.

Raghavan sat there, completely lost.

Nothing made sense.

Then suddenly—

He remembered something.

Adithya had once called him.

Back when his grandfather was arrested.

Quickly, he checked his phone and found the number.

Without hesitation, he sent it to his superpower defense center to trace it.

"We'll update you soon," came the reply.

As he stood there thinking—

An emergency alert flashed on his watch.

Immediately, Raghavan sprang into action.

Within seconds, he wore his suit, masked himself—

And shot into the sky at lightning speed.

When he reached the location—

Chaos.

Three massive robots were destroying the city.

Without wasting time, Aura Prime attacked.

But the robots were incredibly strong.

Before he could react—

One of them launched a powerful attack.

He was thrown to the ground.

He got up again, rushing forward—

But a single blow sent him crashing through two cars.

The three robots advanced toward him.

Suddenly—

He reached behind his back.

In one swift motion, something invisible appeared in his hand.

From head to toe—

A glowing blade formed.

The Aura Sword.

With a single strike—

One robot split into two.

"How's that, you metal monsters?" he smirked.

"Come on… come on!"

He dashed forward—

Two more strikes.

Both robots' heads fell to the ground.

The city erupted in cheers.

"Aura Man! Aura Man!"

People shouted with joy.

He even took a quick selfie with the crowd—

Before flying away.

The next day, the news spread everywhere.

Pallavi saw it.

The moment she saw the image—

She knew.

"It's him…"

Her hands trembled.

She carefully cut out his photo from the newspaper and kept it safely in her cupboard.

Meanwhile, Aura Prime became famous.

And alongside him—

Missile Man.

After joining the superpower group, Raghavan had moved to Mumbai.

Unknown to him—

Pallavi had also moved there.

After the accident, he came to know about it.

But he made a decision—

He would not meet her again.

Still… something kept disturbing his mind.

A feeling he couldn't ignore.

Just then—

His phone rang.

An unknown number.

He answered.

"Hello… Aura Man. Don't you want to know who I am?"

Raghavan stayed silent.

A faint smile appeared on his face.

The voice on the other end continued—

"I am…"
