"Mana!! Come on!!" I shouted.
Rin looked at me and said, "It's no use screaming! The dragon is breathing purple flames from its mouth, and we're too far away!".
I stared closely at Ame, whose battle outfit was... daringly small. I could see her heart racing and her chest rising and falling, but then I noticed something else. I focused entirely on one spot, so focused that Rin and Ame both shouted, "What are you doing?!".
"Whoa!" Rin had an accident with a "Monster Pumpkin" that was twice her size, and they were all terrified.
Kagatani was standing right beside me. On the other hand, the pumpkin's eyes began flashing on and off like a clock. Rin screamed, "What's happening?!".
Then Miss Yurin yelled, "Maybe it's going to burst!!".
"What?!" They all screamed and tried to run, but their legs were stuck fast in the slime's sticky body. We were trapped in the night.
"Oh no! We're stuck!" Yuzuki shouted.
Then Tsukiko lost her hope and whispered, "Ahiro... please... don't forget us...".
"Oh man!" I muttered.
Suddenly, someone smashed the big pumpkin!. The smashed remains of the pumpkin spread everywhere, even over the girls. Everyone stared at the person who had saved them.
Ame shouted, "MY HERO!! HAREM KING AIJO AHIRO HAS ARRIVED!!".
It was me. My eyes had turned a piercing purple, and I held a very cool, glowing purple sword in my hand. Kagatani was still by my side.
"I've found the way to activate our mana power," I said calmly. "And I made this sword from that energy. My 'Jump' skill is upgraded too—try to focus on your new mana. It feels like melted ice cream inside of you. Kagatani, come with me; I'm going to beat that boss!".
"Take-off!" I jumped. Ame watched as I performed an incredibly long leap.
I jumped right over some creepy green creepers, but my landing was off. I thought I was going to land in the middle of a zombie troop, but suddenly, the normal zombies started munching on each other!. A "Titan-level Zombie" had appeared.
I shouted, "What the—?! They can even make Titans?!".
I landed directly on the Titan's head and managed to keep my balance. The zombie tried to grab me with its massive hand, but I jumped and slashed its arm in mid-air. I yelled, "First, I'm going to eliminate you!".
On the other side, Lorfa and Asuna were fighting like maniacs. Lorfa was constantly cutting off the heads of normal zombies, and at one point, she was even drenched in the blood of a Titan. She was laughing hysterically. Asuna was fighting just like her, though she remained deadly silent.
I landed back on the ground and focused my energy on the sword. It grew even larger, and I accidentally sliced through the Titan's legs. It collapsed instantly.
As the Titan fell, I escaped just before it crushed the surrounding zombie troops. Many zombies were smashed flat.
The powerless girls applauded. Ame screamed, "WOW! AHIRO, THAT WAS BRILLIANT WORK!!".
I replied, "It was my pleasure..." (Though honestly, I did most of it by accident).
Then I discovered a new technique. I focused again, and after a few seconds, two wings appeared on my back, made of pure mana. I said to myself, "Whoa! It actually worked!".
But I hadn't noticed a creeper sneaking up behind me. I heard a creepy grunt and turned around slowly.
[BOOM!!].
A massive blast occurred, but I didn't die. I realized someone had pulled me out of the way just in time. I looked up and saw it was Miss Yurin!.
"Miss Yurin?!" I shouted.
She landed on the ground with me. Then Hinata (the cosplayer) and the other girls joined us. We all focused on our mana together, just as you taught us, and summoned our items. Everyone had great coordination—except Ame, who had summoned... a mana microphone?.
"Ame-san..." I started.
"What is it, Ahiro-kun?" she asked. "Are you going to sing?".
"Yes!" she replied.
"What?!".
"Yes! Let me try! I don't even know how it works, but you've noticed that these items are shaped by our personalities," Ame explained.
"Yes, you're right," Yuzuki supported.
I replied, "But I made these with my will!".
"What?!" Everyone was shocked.
Then Rin added, "Have you forgotten that Ahiro is the fragile piece of that creepy 'Akira'? Maybe it's because his own mana is merging with his new mana".
"Good point," I said. "Okay, Ame, try your thing—a zombie is coming!".
"As you wish..." she said.
She started singing in English:
"Don't you see the gloomy sky? Don't you feel the girls' shy? Ignite...".
"Now you are finally disappeared. Now I'm starting the job and closing the shop. Can you touch the sky? No, everything was illusion, everything is delusion. No, it is not true. So please... let me ignite! I touched and you ignited! You hold and I won the fight because I, because I... IGNITE!!".
We didn't fully understand the lyrics, but it was a magical moment. Ame was glowing, which made her look like a real pop star.
I said softly, "Her voice is so... sweet...".
On the other hand, the zombies... melted. We were shocked. "It melted!!(?!)".
Ame finished her song and turned to us. "How was it?".
We all gave her a thumbs-up. She cheered, "Yay! Ahiro-kun liked my singing!!".
Then, she hugged me.
