Xia Qingyue quickly grabbed the edge of his sleeve.

"Please,"

Xia Qingyue begged softly, her eyes full of determination.

"Let me go with you."

Sam looked at her.

"The beast forest is very dangerous at night,"

Sam pointed out.

"And your family is expecting you to get married tomorrow morning. If you leave now, it will cause a massive scandal for the Xia Clan."

"I don't care about the wedding,"

Xia Qingyue said firmly, shaking her head.

"I need answers. I will follow you anywhere."

Sam chuckled softly. He liked her strong will.

"It is your life,"

Sam said gently, turning toward the city gates.

"You can do whatever you want. But try to keep up."

They walked quietly out of Floating Cloud City and entered the thick, dark beast forest.

The trees were massive, and the shadows were deep.

Wild, terrifying beasts roared loudly in the distance.

But as they walked, not a single monster dared to come close.

Sam's heavy, peaceful aura kept them all far away.

Xia Qingyue walked closely behind him, feeling incredibly safe.

After walking for a while, Sam stopped.

He closed his eyes and let his divine sense spread out into the dark woods.

"There she is,"

Sam whispered.

"I can feel the dark poison from here."

He led Qingyue toward a hidden, rocky cave near the side of a small mountain.

The air inside the cave was freezing cold and smelled heavily of sharp, rotting blood.

Sitting on a cold stone in the very back of the cave was a little girl.

She looked only twelve or thirteen years old.

She had bright red hair and wore a beautiful, highly detailed red dress.

But her face was completely pale, and she was taking heavy, shallow breaths.

She was suffering from a terrible, deadly poison.

This was Jasmine, the Heavenly Slaughter Star God.

When Sam and Qingyue stepped into the cave, Jasmine's sharp eyes snapped open.

They glowed with a fierce, dangerous red light.

She ignored Qingyue completely.

Instead, she stared straight at the spatial ring on Sam's finger.

Because of the extreme poison in her body, she was incredibly sensitive to the aura of heavenly treasures.

"That aura..."

Jasmine gasped, her tiny hands curling into tight fists.

"You have it... you have the Sky Poison Pearl."

She tried to stand up, but the dark poison in her blood flared up.

She coughed violently, spitting a mouthful of black blood onto the stone floor.

She fell hard against the cave wall, breathing heavily.

Despite her terrible pain, she glared at Sam with absolute murder in her eyes.

"Give it to me,"

Jasmine demanded, her voice weak but full of deadly intent.

"Give me the Pearl right now, or I will kill you both."

Xia Qingyue stepped back, feeling a wave of pure terror wash over her.

The little girl was dying, but her killing intent was heavier than any one she had ever felt.

Sam didn't look scared at all. He just sighed, keeping his hands comfortably in his pockets.

"You are in no condition to be threatening people, little girl,"

Sam said calmly.

"You are about ten seconds away from dying."

Jasmine gritted her teeth. She was incredibly proud.

Even though she was dying, she was a true Star God.

She refused to listen to anyone she thought was weaker than her.

She had spent her entire life ruling over others.

"I do not take pity from lower mortals!"

Jasmine yelled.

She pushed her small hand forward.

A sharp, terrifying beam of blood-red light shot directly at Sam.

She used the very last bit of her strength to try and force him to give up the ring.

Xia Qingyue gasped in horror.

But Sam did not dodge.

He didn't even raise his hands to block.

The deadly red light hit him right in the chest.

However, there was no sound of impact.

There was no blood.

Instead, the moment the light touched him, Sam's entire body gently shattered.

He turned into thousands of glowing, pink cherry blossom petals.

The attack flew through the empty air and crashed harmlessly into the cave wall.

The dark, cold cave was suddenly filled with swirling pink petals.

They danced beautifully in the air, glowing with a soft, warm light.

Jasmine's eyes went completely wide.

Her breath hitched in her throat.

She watched the beautiful petals swirl around her.

In that single moment, she completely understood.

She could never touch him. Not even if she was at her full strength.

The pink petals floated across the room and gathered tightly together.

With a soft flash, Sam was standing perfectly fine again, looking completely untouched.

"I really do not like being threatened,"

Sam said smoothly.

"Especially by a little girl who needs my help."

Jasmine stared at him. She felt very weird.

Her heart was beating fast.

She looked at him closely.

She thought Sam was just a weak, mortal human from a lower realm.

But she was completely wrong.

"You..."

Jasmine whispered, wiping the black blood from her chin.

"Your energy... it is not profound energy or primordial qi. It doesn't follow the laws of this universe. What are you?"

She had lived in the absolute highest Realm of the Gods.

She had met the strongest beings in creation.

But she had never, ever seen a power like his.

"I am also a Cultivator,"

Sam explained, his voice calm and deep.

"But I walk a completely different path. My power comes from the truth of the universe, not from profound veins."

Jasmine stared at the ground.

Her massive pride had finally hit a solid wall.

She could not force him. She could not kill him.

"Are you going to kill me?"

Jasmine asked quietly.

"No,"

Sam smiled gently, walking closer to her.

"I am here to save you. But you have to understand something first. In front of me, your titles and your pride mean absolutely nothing. If you want my help, you just have to ask nicely."

Jasmine looked up at his peaceful eyes.

For the first time in her violent life, she didn't feel the need to fight.

"Please,"

Jasmine whispered softly, letting her pride go.

"Please save me."

Sam nodded slowly.

"Good,"

Sam said gently.

He raised his hand.

A soft green light appeared from his spatial ring.

It was the power of the Sky Poison Pearl.

The warm light quickly wrapped around Jasmine.

Because the deadly poison had been eating her for so long, her physical body was completely ruined.

As the green light touched her, her broken body slowly turned into glowing dust and faded away.

Only her bright red soul remained, floating safely inside the light.

"My body..."

Jasmine's soul whispered. She felt so light and completely free of pain.

"It is gone."

"It was far too broken to keep,"

Sam explained calmly.

"But do not worry. I can build you a brand new one."

Jasmine's soul looked at him in total shock.

"Building a body is almost impossible,"

Jasmine said, her voice full of doubt.

"It requires legendary items. Supreme spiritual roots, a divine body... things that take hundreds of years to find."

"Not for me,"

Sam smiled.

"I have advanced technology and a divine puppet master technique. I have the power of creation. I do not need rare flowers or magic roots. I can bring you back to life right away. But... there is one condition."

Jasmine's glowing soul floated a little closer.

"What is your condition?"

She asked.

"When I give you a new body, you cannot use your old profound energy anymore,"

Sam told her seriously.

"You will have to cultivate my path. The law I practice is far superior to the laws of this universe. If you follow my path, you will become as strong as a True God in this world much easier."

Jasmine went completely silent.

She thought about his terrifying power.

She remembered how his body turned into beautiful pink petals.

She had lost everything today, but this mysterious man was offering her a completely new, stronger life.

"I accept your condition,"

Jasmine said softly.

"Rest inside the pearl for now,"

Sam said gently.

"I will wake you up when your new body is ready."

The green light flashed brightly, and Jasmine's soul was pulled safely into the Sky Poison Pearl.

The dark cave went completely quiet.

Xia Qingyue stood near the entrance.

Her beautiful eyes were wide with shock.

"She... she turned to dust,"

Xia Qingyue said, her voice shaking.

"Is she dead?"

Sam turned around and gave her a warm, reassuring smile.

"She is not dead,"

Sam said.

"Her body was just destroyed. Her soul is perfectly safe inside my ring."

Xia Qingyue let out a deep, heavy breath of relief.

But she still looked incredibly confused.

"Who was that little girl?"

Xia Qingyue asked.

"Her killing intent was terrifying. She didn't feel like a normal person."

Sam walked out of the dark cave and back into the forest, motioning for Qingyue to follow him.

"That little girl is exactly who you have been looking for,"

Sam said, looking up at the bright night sky.

"What do you mean?"

Xia Qingyue asked, her heart suddenly beating very fast.

"That little girl actually came from the Realm of the Gods,"

Sam smiled, looking back at her.

"I will build her a new body very soon. And after she wakes up... you can ask her all the questions you want."

Xia Qingyue completely froze in her tracks.

Her hands covered her mouth, and her eyes filled with bright, happy tears.

For the first time in her entire life, the answers she so desperately wanted were finally right in front of her.

Xia Qingyue quietly followed behind Sam as he walked.

She was incredibly curious about this strange yet super powerful ma .

She watched his back, wondering what kind of secrets he held.

After a few minutes, she realized something.

They were not walking back toward the gates of Floating Cloud City.

They were going much deeper into the dangerous beast forest.

"Senior Sam,"

Xia Qingyue asked softly, hurrying her steps to catch up with him.

"The city is the other way. Where are we going?"

"I told you,"

Sam smiled, looking straight ahead.

"I am leaving the city. I need a quiet place to do my work, and I need to check on my ride."

"Your ride?"

Xia Qingyue asked, completely confused.

Before she could ask any more questions, Sam stopped in the middle of a large, empty clearing.

He looked up at the empty night sky and snapped his fingers.

"Little D, turn off the camouflage,"

Sam said to the empty air.

Suddenly, the air above them rippled like water.

A massive, silver metal beast slowly appeared out of nowhere.

It was huge, sleek, and covered in strange glowing blue lights. It hovered silently just above the tall trees.

Xia Qingyue gasped.

She stepped back, her eyes wide with total shock.

"What... what is that?"

Xia Qingyue asked, her voice trembling.

"Is that a flying profound artifact? It is massive! It looks like a giant metal castle!"

"It is a spaceship,"

Sam explained calmly.

"It is a machine built by a very smart friend of mine. It doesn't use profound energy. It uses science and a little bit of magic to fly through the stars."

Xia Qingyue stared at the giant ship.

Her mind could barely understand what she was looking at.

She turned to look at Sam. Her beautiful eyes were filled with endless questions.

"Senior,"

Xia Qingyue said, her voice full of deep wonder.

"Senior, are you from the realm of gods?"

Sam shook his head.

"No, I am not."

"If you are not from the Realm of the Gods... then where are you from? What sect do you belong to?"

Sam turned to face her.

His expression was warm, but his eyes carried the ancient, heavy weight of a true traveler.

"I don't belong to a sect, Qingyue,"

Sam answered gently.

"I come from Earth. It is a planet entirely outside of your universe."

Xia Qingyue frowned. Her delicate eyebrows pulled together.

"Universe?"

She asked softly.

"What does that word mean? Is it like a hidden realm?"

Sam chuckled.

He realized that people in this world had a very different way of looking at things.

"Let me make it simple,"

Sam said, pointing up at the starry sky.

"Imagine a giant, invisible box. Inside this box is Floating Cloud City. Inside this box is the entire continent, the oceans, the sun, and the moon. Even the Realm of the Gods, where your mother is from, is trapped inside this very same box."

Xia Qingyue listened closely, her eyes locked on his face.

"Everything you have ever known, everything that has ever existed in your history, is inside this one single box,"

Sam continued, his voice steady and clear.

"We call that box a 'universe'."

Xia Qingyue nodded slowly. She was starting to understand.

"But,"

Sam smiled, opening his hands wide.

"Outside of your box... There is an endless, dark ocean. And floating in that ocean are millions and millions of other boxes. Other universes. Completely different worlds with different people, different skies, and different magic."

Sam pointed a thumb back at his giant silver spaceship.

"I come from a completely different box,"

Sam told her.

"I travel between the worlds. I cross the deep, empty ocean to visit places like this."

Xia Qingyue's mind felt like it was going to explode.

The Realm of the Gods used to be the absolute highest, most impossible place she could ever imagine.

But this man was telling her that her entire world, including the gods, was just a tiny toy inside one single box.

She looked at Sam, feeling a sense of awe that was deeper than anything she had ever felt before.

He wasn't just a strong cultivator.

He was a walker of worlds.
