Chapter 124 - Chapter 123: The Arrival of strange artifacts

"Ghost Prison's aura... is weakening rapidly!"

On the deck of the Dragon Country aircraft carrier far beyond the coastline, Xuanwu suddenly looked up, his bronze face filled with unbelievable solemnity.

He stared intently at the sky over Tokyo, which had already been stained crimson, sensing those two terrifying auras from before. The one belonging to Ghost Prison was withering and dissipating at high Speed!

This Speed was faster than anyone had expected.

Just a moment ago, Ghost Prison's aura had climbed to a heart-palpitating peak, even making him feel a fatal threat.

He had no doubt that within its exclusive domain in Tokyo, even if he and Luna joined forces, killing Ghost Prison in such a state would surely cost an unimaginable price.

It might even require the power of nuclear weapons to completely purge it.

However, after another even more overbearing and terrifying aura descended, the situation took a sharp turn for the worse.

There was no long tug-of-war, no earth-shaking prolonged confrontation.

There was only a one-sided crushing harvest.

"Is this the strength of the top ranker...?"

Xuanwu's throat felt a bit dry, and he muttered to himself in a low voice, with a tremor that even he hadn't noticed.

So powerful, so unreasonable, as if all rules, all so-called home-field advantages, and numerical advantages became a ridiculous joke in the face of an absolute gap in power levels.

If such a person belonged to the Dragon Country... As soon as this thought emerged, it was forcibly suppressed by Xuanwu, eventually turning into a sigh.

He thought of [Kong]'s foolish actions and Luna's analysis.

Some opportunities, once missed, can never be recovered.

Now, as Luna said, the best situation might be non-aggression, maintaining that fragile balance.

As long as she doesn't turn her gaze toward the East... The core of Tokyo, a ruin of absolute silence.

The former landmark Tokyo Tower, along with all traces of civilization within a radius of several kilometers, had completely disappeared. Only the scarred earth remained, along with the massive, scalp-numbing remains of a gray-white giant beast in the center.

The remains were shriveled and withered, like a specimen drained of all moisture and essence, leaving only the outermost layer of cracked bones and dull wing membrane, barely maintaining the terrifying silhouette of the [Myriad Skeleton Mad Dragon].

It lay quietly in the center of the ruins, no longer possessing any life.

And at the very top of the giant beast's hideous skull, a figure stood quietly.

Petite and slender, forming a soul-stirring contrast with the surrounding scene of destruction.

Lilith had already returned to her human form.

Those eyes, once completely occupied by crimson violence, had now returned to their former state.

Clear, calm, and deep, reflecting the thin starlight above the ruins.

The destructive aura belonging to the G-0 Tyrant had been perfectly withdrawn, sinking into the depths of her bloodline like a sheathed demonic blade.

Her snow-white long hair draped down smoothly, like the finest silver silk, falling over her rounded, smooth shoulders and beautifully lined back.

Her hair strands fluttered gently in the weak night breeze, occasionally brushing against her fair, almost transparent skin.

Not a single scar or stain could be found on that skin; it was smooth and delicate, glowing with a faint healthy luster, as if the world-destroying battle just now had nothing to do with her.

Barefoot, her small and rounded toes lightly touched the cold frontal bone of the gray-white giant beast's skull.

Her ankles were slender, and her curves were graceful.

"Whew..."

She slightly parted her pale lips and gently exhaled a long breath.

In the breath, there seemed to be a few fleeting dark red electric arcs, carrying a lingering trace of destruction.

Raising an arm, she looked down, quietly gazing at her small hand, which appeared soft, boneless, and as slender as a scallion.

Her fingers gently curled into a fist, then slowly relaxed.

The corners of her mouth curled up slightly, as if by a single pixel.

"The instinct of the G-Virus is even hungrier than expected."

She whispered to herself in a childish yet crisp and pleasant voice.

The full liberation of the Third Form just now was certainly driven by her will.

But the deeper reason was the most primal desire of the G-Virus within her body, which had been suppressed and sealed by the absolute power of the Gene Dominator talent.

Now, the essence energy from Ghost Prison and the Hive had been completely devoured, flowing quietly within Lilith's body, being greedily digested, analyzed, and reorganized by the G-Virus's overbearing and precise evolutionary program.

This wasn't the crude stacking and violent fusion of Ghost Prison, but the most essential plundering and perfect transformation—the deepest level of absorption and optimization at the genetic level.

Once the digestion is complete, the power of the Third Form [G-0 Tyrant] will undergo a qualitative leap, truly becoming an absolute trump card in her hands capable of overturning any situation.

Lilith's mind stirred slightly.

Behind her, the twelve silver-white bone tentacles that had once pierced Ghost Prison slowly retracted from her smooth, flawless back.

On the skin of her back, the twelve deep vortex-like holes rippled slightly, quickly closing and smoothing over, finally disappearing without a trace as if they had never existed.

All that remained was that pair of massive silver-white dragon wings, which gently folded, tenderly wrapping her petite body inside.

Along the edge of the wing membrane, a faint wisp of blood-colored lightning occasionally flowed silently, wordlessly speaking of the terrifying power contained within.

She retracted her dragon wings and casually took out a piece of light gauze from her system inventory. The gauze was smooth and cool, and she draped it loosely over herself, covering most of her body while revealing her rounded shoulders, delicate collarbones, and long, straight legs.

The light gauze clung to the curves of her body, fluttering slightly in the night breeze, adding a touch of hazy beauty that sat somewhere between innocence and allure.

Lilith lightly pushed off with her bare feet, leaping gracefully from the top of Ghost Prison's shriveled skull onto the scarred ruins.

Her silver-white long hair danced in the air with her movements, a few strands playfully sticking to her pale lips.

She lifted her eyelids, her crimson eyes, now clear again, calmly scanning the surroundings.

Tokyo had now completely changed hands.

The gray-white aura of decay that had permeated the air had long since been swept away, replaced by an even deeper, more deathly atmosphere.

As far as the eye could see, in the shadows of the ruins and on the wreckage of the streets, swaying and stiff figures could be seen everywhere.

They were no longer the purple-black flesh monsters under Ghost Prison's command.

They were the walking dead, slow-moving but possessing clear hunting instincts—zombies completely transformed by the T-virus.

Some individuals were exceptionally large with knotted muscles, emitting an aura no weaker than that of S-Class Hunter.

Further away, one could vaguely see massive tumors or arthropod monsters formed by the forced fusion and distortion of dozens or hundreds of zombies. Their energy fluctuations had already faintly touched the threshold of SS-rank!

The entire ruins of Tokyo had been transformed into a zombie world belonging only to Lilith.

Lilith's gaze swept indifferently over these wandering zombies.

She had no interest in directly commanding or managing these low-intelligence killing creations.

Leaving them to follow the most primal laws of survival in these ruins might naturally screen for some mutated individuals that would surprise even her through the gu-style cultivation in a sea of corpses and blood.

As for the survivors throughout the rest of the Japan outside of Tokyo...

Lilith did not care about their fate at all.

Their only value was to become the flesh and blood needed for the zombies' evolution in this new ecosystem.

*Hum—*

Without warning, the night sky, which had become somewhat clear as the energy turbulence dissipated, suddenly darkened!

Immediately after, a crimson beam of light silently descended straight from the depths of the firmament!

It landed precisely in the center of the Tokyo ruins, in the air less than a hundred meters in front of Lilith.

Lilith's gaze was fixed intently on that spot.

Finally, the beam of light dissipated.

An object floated quietly in mid-air.

It was a perfect cube with sides about thirty centimeters long.

It had no support, floating there in defiance of gravity, its entire body emitting an ancient, mysterious, and simultaneously singular fluctuation containing infinite possibilities.

strange artifacts—Arrival!

Lilith slightly tilted her petite chin up, her clear crimson vertical pupils reflecting the dark red strange cube in the sky without blinking.

The night breeze brushed her silver-white long hair and the light gauze on her body, outlining her slender silhouette.

She slowly licked her lips.

Then, she grinned, revealing her pair of cute little canine teeth.

"Finally..."

"I've been waiting for you."
