Chapter 48 - Chapter 48: Unshackling the Fetters, Overwhelming Dominance

Under the gaze of Lilith's four crimson vertical pupils, the first rift was brutally torn open.

A deformed giant squeezed its way out of the twisted dreamscape.

Its body looked like a creation made from over a dozen Tyrants and Pursuers violently crushed and haphazardly stitched together.

Six thick arms of varying girth supported its bloated Torso, and on its back was a twenty-four-meter wingspan, barely cobbled together from countless twisted limbs and bone plates.

Two heads extended from the shoulder blades, one on the left and one on the right. Each head had six crimson eyes, which were currently rotating in unison, locking onto Lilith in the sky.

A g-virus and t-virus fusion. A Proto-Praetorian forcibly catalyzed by the Hive Lord Alice.

Immediately after, an arm covered in silver-white bone plates reached out from the second rift.

It was a Stalker Modified, standing a full ten meters tall, its entire body covered in silver-white bone armor of the same origin as Lilith's.

The muscles in its semi-bent legs bulged, and every breath it took carried a steam-like white airflow.

The most terrifying part was its back, where dozens of sharp-tipped tentacles writhed like living snakes, each covered in barbs and suckers.

Lacking the ability to fly, it leapt directly from the rift and landed heavily atop the Clock Tower below.

The reinforced concrete Clock Tower groaned under the weight the moment it landed, its surface cracking into a spiderweb of fissures.

The monster tilted its head back, and on its face, which retained only the basic outline of facial features, both eyes lit up with a malevolent red light.

Two monsters.

One in the air, one on the ground.

The tyrannical aura permeating the air almost condensed into substance. Under the pressure of this aura, ordinary zombies collapsed to the ground one after another, unable to even let out a hiss.

Lilith hovered in mid-air, her Wing Blades slowly folding as her body landed on the roof of a tall building below.

Without the Hive Lord's mental interference or the endless tide of illusory beasts.

Although the two monsters before her possessed powerful auras, to her, they were still just two snacks.

"Voom—!"

A low vibration emanated from deep within Lilith's chest.

It was the precursor to the liberation of the Tyrant Core.

The bone armor in the center of her back cracked first—not shattering, but actively decomposing and reorganizing like a living thing.

Thick silver-white bone blades burst from her spine, replacing the previous bone spurs and extending all the way down to her tailbone. Each bone blade was over two meters long, with edges as sharp as knives.

At the joints of her limbs, irregular sharp bone spurs pierced through her skin, forming natural killing edges.

The claws on her forelimbs began to stretch and thicken, their tips extending into half-meter-long curved blades that glinted with a cold, metallic hardness under the dim moonlight.

The Wing Blades of her Bat Wings proliferated violently, nearly doubling in width, and fine blood-colored patterns emerged on the blade surfaces.

On her head, the white crown that integrated Xenomorph Queen traits began to extend backward, becoming wider and more hideous.

Three eye totems outlined by dark red energy appeared on the surface of the crown, though these eye totems did not open.

Perhaps they were waiting for Lilith to liberate her third form.

After evolving into her second form, Lilith's wingspan had reached a terrifying twenty-five meters, and her body length had surged to twenty-three meters.

When Lilith fully stretched her body, the shadow she cast almost enveloped the entire block below.

The bone armor across her body became heavier, and the dark red energy flowing between the plate seams was nearly overflowing.

Her tail whip had nearly doubled in length, and the bone spear at its end had expanded to the size of a door, its surface covered in spiral barbs.

Second Form—Tyrant.

At this moment, Lilith had completely shed her biological silhouette, becoming a White Death God forged of bone blades and pure slaughter.

Lilith didn't even let out a roar.

Her four crimson vertical pupils simply locked onto the G-William Fusion in the air simultaneously.

Then, she danced.

It wasn't a dash; it was a blink.

The twenty-five-meter-wide Wing Blades tore through the air with an ear-piercing sonic boom. The moment Lilith's figure left an afterimage on the retina, she had already appeared directly above the G-William Fusion!

Wing Blades raised high, then slashed down!

The two heads of the G-William Fusion roared simultaneously, its six arms crossing to parry, while the deformed wings on its back flapped frantically in an attempt to pull away.

But it was too slow!

"Squelch—!!!"

The silver-white blade light drew a vertical line of blood across the sky.

Four of the six parrying arms were severed at the elbows, the cuts as smooth as mirrors.

The deformed wings were sliced more than halfway through from the base, and dark red blood sprayed like a waterfall.

The G-William Fusion let out a pained wail, its massive body losing balance in the air and plunging diagonally toward the ground.

But Lilith's attack did not pause.

Before the momentum of the first slash had even dissipated, her tail whip had already thrust out like lightning!

"Puchi—!"

The expanded bone spear at the tip accurately pierced the center of the G-William Fusion's left head, bringing out a large mass of filth mixed with brain tissue and black liquid as it exited the back of the skull.

The six eyes on that head instantly dimmed.

G-William's entire body was hoisted high by Lilith's bone tail.

At that moment, an explosion sounded from below.

The Stalker Modified atop the Clock Tower moved.

Its ten-meter body exploded with a terrifying jumping power inconsistent with its size. The concrete beneath its feet shattered as its entire body shot into the air like a cannonball!

The dozens of tentacles on its back all straightened, their tips aimed at Lilith's back. Each tip was spinning at high speed, emitting a drill-like scream.

Lilith didn't even turn around.

She simply pulled the dangling G-William Fusion in front of her to use as a stepping stone, kicked off its back heavily with all four limbs, used the leverage to spin her body, and tore out a large amount of red and white matter as she withdrew her tail spike.

Simultaneously, her adjusted right Wing Blade swept across!

"Clang clang clang clang—!!!"

A series of explosive metallic collisions!

The Stalker Modified's tentacles collided violently with the silver-white Wing Blade, sending sparks flying everywhere.

Several tentacles were severed directly, but more took the opportunity to wrap around, attempting to bind Lilith's Wing Blade.

It was at this moment that the blood-colored barrier Lilith had been maintaining suddenly expanded outward!

[Blood Domain: Stagnation]

The radius was compressed to 30 meters, but the concentration surged tenfold!

Countless blood-colored particles pounced on the Stalker Modified like living things, adhering to its bone armor, muscles, and even the surface of its eyeballs.

These particles had no direct destructive power, but they were like billions of tiny palms, firmly dragging down its every movement.

The Stalker Modified's charging speed slowed visibly to the naked eye, as if it had suddenly fallen into thick glue.

The movement of the tentacles on its back became sluggish, and even turning around seemed difficult.

Lilith seized this moment.

She didn't pull back her entangled Wing Blade; instead, she followed the direction the tentacles were pulling and slammed herself toward the Stalker Modified!

The claws of her left forelimb opened and hooked down!

Five half-meter-long curved claw blades, like five side-by-side scimitars, sank deep into the Stalker Modified's head bone armor!

Amidst the crisp sound of shattering plates, the claw blades continued deeper, piercing the Exoskeleton, stabbing into the muscle, and finally pressing against the inner wall of the skull.

"Roar—!!!"

The Stalker Modified let out a pained roar, its remaining tentacles frantically striking Lilith's Torso, leaving white marks on the bone armor but failing to cause any substantial damage.

Lilith's four crimson pupils gazed coldly at the struggling monster beneath her claws.

Then, her Wing Blades vibrated with full force!

"Boom—!!!"

Gripping the Stalker Modified's head like a humanoid sledgehammer, she slammed it violently down toward the already teetering Clock Tower!

"Boom—!"

The combined weight and falling speed caused the air to emit a sonic boom.

The Clock Tower collapsed completely the moment of contact, with bricks, rebar, and concrete exploding upward as if detonated!

The dozens-of-meters-high architectural structure crumbled floor by floor within seconds. Dust billowed into the sky, shrouding the entire block in a grayish-yellow mist.

In the center of the ruins, the Stalker Modified was pinned deep within the layers of rubble by Lilith.

Its head bone armor was completely shattered, revealing the writhing pink brain tissue beneath, though those tissues were regenerating and proliferating at a speed visible to the naked eye.
