We live in our cocoon world. Yet we think our cocoon is the real
world!
If you were to ask anyone, "Where are you living right now?"
they will tell you some place on earth. If you were to say, "So you're
from space?" they will say, "Why, of course not. I'm from earth!"
But where is earth? Realistically speaking, we are but a speck in the
universe, an infinitesimal piece of space. But, due to our age-old
conditionings, we would rather believe we live in a fixed world in
which the sun and the universe rotate around us, instead of
acknowledging our place in the infinite vastness of space! Despite
the increasing discoveries of modern science, we are still incognizant
of certain Truths!
"We are from earth!" we say.
If you were asked your age, you would reply with a number:
thirty, forty, fifty… But is that really your age? To what reference
does that number apply?
The earth rotates at a distance of approximately 150 million km
around the sun, which is about 1,333,000 times bigger than our
earth. When the earth rotates 30 times around the sun we say we are
30 years old. In other words, we mean to say, "Since I was born, the
earth has rotated around the sun 30 times." Thus we 'measure' our
age.
But in the meantime we overlook or perhaps are completely
unaware of a critical fact:
The way we see it, each and every single one of us is existing
within our cocoon worlds and we are making inter-cocoon
connections among each other. Our communications are based on
either the set of values binding our own cocoon or that of another.
We are completely oblivious to the reality, the actual dimensions of
existence outside of our cocoon world!
Perhaps we don't want to be aware of it..
Perhaps we are afraid… Afraid to think, afraid of becoming
confused. Afraid of the unknown, from things we feel we won't be
able to comprehend or overcome.
But what are the realities outside our cocoon world?
We are all bound by an undeniable Truth: Our time on earth is
limited. At some point, we will all move on. We will all experience
what is commonly referred to as death!
There is a point that we must realize:
Just as the earth rotates around the sun, the sun rotates around the
center of our galaxy, the Milky Way. So too are our earth and we,
together with the sun, rotating around the center of our galaxy. Our
sun is about 32 thousand light years away from the center of our
galaxy and it takes 255 million years for it complete one rotation. In
other words, one year on the sun is the equivalent of 255 million
years on earth!
So, a real solar year is actually 255 million earth years! So, if we
were to define our age, not in terms of earth years, but in respect to
the sun's rotation around the center of the galaxy, then in 255
million years we would have aged by one year!
We currently exist on earth, but at some point, through the
experience of death, the earth is going to be lost from our perception.
For our perception of earth is based on our five senses – what we see
as earth, our world, is only as much as our physical eyes allow us to
see and experience! Our sight is limited to a narrow bandwidth of
4,000 to 7,000 Angstroms! All that we see and define as 'existent'
are as a result of our brain's interpretation of the intercepted
wavelengths within this range. Our hearing range, on the other hand,
is only between 16 and 16,000 Hertz. What we perceive as sound is
limited to wavelengths within this range. As such, our perception of
the world, and our judgment regarding whether something exists or
does not exist, is based on these very limited senses. In reality, the
scope of existence outside this bandwidth is infinite! Due to our
sheer ignorance, we assume all that is outside of our perceptive
range to be inexistent.
The earth on which we live is going to fall outside the range of
our five-sense perception upon death, and thus become
unperceivable to us, but we are going to continue to exist with what
is referred to as our spirit, astral or luminous bodies, within the
magnetic field of the earth, and subject to the magnetic pull of the
sun.
Even though our physical bodily connection will end through
death, our spirit-bodies will continue to live within the Von Allen
radiation belt subject to the magnetic field of the earth within the
platform of the sun, just as we are currently doing so. However, the
earth will not be perceivable to us in this new state of existence; we
will continue our lives on the radial platform of the sun, only this
time with our spirit-perception rather than our bodily sense
perception.
A detailed explanation of how the spirit-body is produced by the brain has been
given in The Essence of Man, Man Spirit Jinn and The Essential Principles of
Islam by Ahmed Hulusi. So, if the earth disappears from our sight, by which dimension of
life will we be bound?
If the concept of earthly time is invalid at this time, but we
continue to rotate around the sun, will we be subject to the time zone
of the sun? That is, 255 million years will be equivalent to a year by
our current viewpoint!
Assuming we live for 70 years on earth, what will this figure
mean to us when we die? Since we will be subject to the time zone
of the sun, and one year in respect to the sun is 255 million years,
then 70 years will be the equivalent of 8.6 seconds. That is, someone
who dies at the age of 70 and transits to the next dimension of life –
bound by the time zone of the sun – is going to say, "How long did I
live on earth? Was my life no longer than a dream?"
In the Quran, this is referred to by the verse, "The day they see
it, it will be as though they had not remained (in the world),
except for a time of sunset or twilight."2 The original word used
for sunset or twilight is ashiyya, which is equivalent to the time of
the evening prayer. As known, this is the short period of redness in
the sky disappearing after sunset. The time when the sun is no longer
visible, but its light has not totally disappeared; the brief time only
moments before darkness.
When you gaze up at the sky and the redness of the newly set sun
disappears, and though you can still see the things around you,
suddenly darkness descends… This is how short it's going to feel
when a person dies, leaves the time zone of the earth, enters the
dimension of the grave and becomes subject to the time zone of the
sun!
When we dream during our sleep, based on earthly and physical
senses and our current concept of time, our dreams last around 40 to
50 seconds. But, while we are dreaming, those few seconds feel
much longer. Nevertheless, when we wake up and think about our
dream, we say it was simply a dream
