Chapter 1 - The end...

All of us have our own stories...

Not the fairy tales but the stories of our life. Yes, life is nothing but a bunch of stories. Everyone has their own story; short or long, happy or sad... But story is a must. Like Dostoevsky said, "But how could you live and have no story to tell?"

Not all stories we have are meant to be meaningful. Some are absurd; too absurd to be told to others. And what are we in those stories...!? Characters... ofcourse!! What an idiotic question that is..!! Are we really always the main characters...!! Even in our own stories? What about the times when we are not less than any speechless totem, just being there to enhance the performance and useless after the act is over...?

I too have a bunch of stories. Here I'm presenting one. It's not one of the stories, meant to be told. It's like something that can't be shared, nor even kept a secret. Because there's nothing to keep secret. It's just....

Huh..!!

I don't know. It's just absurd. A lot of questions, unanswered or maybe waiting be answered. So, let's begin...

That day, the sun was not as bright as today. The breeze was hot, yet soothing. The leaves were swinging, making a soft buzz sound. The birds were out in search of food. And I was alone but not quite lonely. I was enjoying the day untill a sudden thought clouded my brain. A strange fear entangled my heart. Everything felt to be falling apart. My hands started to tremble, not in fear but in confusion. I felt like something is waiting for me at the top of the hill. But that was the first time in my memory that I had visited that place. Still, the trees felt so much familiar, the fragrance of the air felt known and the soil, as if it knew a lot of things about me that I didn't know. I couldn't understand why all of a sudden all those things were coming to my mind. But when I gathered my thoughts together, I found myself at the top of the hill. I had climbed up quite a long route unnoticed, while being overwhelmed by those mysterious thoughts. I looked around and at some distance my eyes met something. A quick current flew throughout my body; from the tip of my toe to every hair route... I could feel the goosebumps all around my skin. There was someone, some shadow or just a soul, I could not understand. But there was someone who made my head ache severely and I felt like I could no longer stand still. Everything around me started spinning and my whole body started trembling. My world went dark; so dark that not a single ray of light could sneak through it. Every sound faded away and only the loud silence left.

I woke up at the hospital with a heavy head. I didn't know what happened after I blacked out or how much time had passed since then. But the exact image that shadow figure from the hill top was still there inside my mind.

Then a knock on the door...

My father came and said only five words, "your brain needs complete rest" and he left the room, leaving me with tons of unanswered questions....
