Chapter 173 - ACSP: Chapter 173: Edo Tensei, Let the Slaughter Begin!

ACSP: Chapter 173: Edo Tensei, Let the Slaughter Begin!

Although this was the first time Jiang Chen had issued direct orders to Lei Li and the others as their official Guild Leader, his words carried the absolute weight of a commander. There was a natural authority in his bearing that made refusal completely out of the question.

"What about you, Boss? What's your play?" Lei Li asked after locking in the strategy.

Jiang Chen turned his gaze toward the center of the city, his eyes locking onto the Jinghai City Lord's Mansion as a flicker of cold killing intent surfaced.

"The bastard pulling the strings with Kotoamatsukami wants to lure me to the mansion," Jiang Chen said smoothly. "So, I'm going to give him exactly what he wants."

When he had ripped through the memories of the captured Dongdao Contractor moments ago, he hadn't found a single trace of information regarding Li Yanran and the others. It was obvious now: whoever had placed the genjutsu on Ronan was keeping the girls alive as bait to catch the biggest fish in the pond—him.

Jiang Chen wasn't surprised. It was the price of power. A tall tree always catches the brunt of the wind, and a rising reputation naturally draws the deadliest predators. It was only a matter of time before he became a target.

With the briefing concluded, Jiang Chen vaulted onto the city wall, transforming into a blur of pure speed as he bolted straight toward the City Lord's Mansion.

Simultaneously, the rest of the squad split up and localized their targets. Li Dala molded his chakra, instantly summoning a massive Clay Flying Dragon. The clay beast unfurled its wings with a heavy downdraft, soaring straight into the cloud line to take the skies.

Then.

One by one, white Clay Spiders began to fall from the sky like raindrops.

Currently, the ones wandering around the city were all members of the 'Eastern Coalition Army' and Dongdao Contractors.

This instead provided Li Dala with an excellent opportunity to show off.

"Boom, boom, boom..."

"Boom, boom, boom..."

"Boom, boom, boom..."

"..."

Soon, one after another, the deafening roars of explosions began to echo through the city.

In just a brief moment.

Quite a few people from the 'Eastern Coalition Army' and Dongdao Contractors were blown into mincemeat.

"Enemy attack!"

"Baka-yaro, the enemy is in the sky..."

"Quick, shoot him down..."

Li Dala deliberately exposed his position.

In an instant, the attention of most people in the city was drawn toward him.

And while Li Dala was taking action.

On the other side of the city wall.

Song She did not hesitate to form several complex hand seals.

"—Summoning Jutsu: Edo Tensei!"

"—Rumble!"

The ground trembled violently.

Dull, lifeless wooden coffins rose from the earth like bamboo shoots after a rain, instantly filling a large area of the streets surrounding the city walls.

They were packed tightly together, numbering at least several hundred!

"Look over there, what's happening? Why did so many coffins suddenly appear?"

"Hurry, let's go check it out."

A group of Dongdao Contractors, who had been chasing Li Dala, immediately surrounded the area after noticing the commotion.

"—Creeeeak!"

Right at that moment, an eerie chorus of creaks and groans echoed through the streets as the wooden coffins began to shudder.

One by one, the heavy coffin lids slammed onto the cobblestones. From the dark depths of the boxes, figures covered in pale, fractured cracks stepped out into the light.

"Kill them all," Song She commanded coldly.

On his orders, the Edo Tensei (Reanimation Jutsu) puppets surged forward, unleashing a ruthless assault on the nearby Dongdao Contractors. These undead warriors quickly became an absolute nightmare on the battlefield—they were completely immortal, retained every single skill they possessed in life, and wielded infinite chakra.

They swept through the streets like a rising tide of death, slaughtering every Dongdao Contractor and member of the treacherous Eastern Coalition Army they crossed. Wherever they marched, they left a trail of butchered corpses in their wake.

But Song She wasn't done yet.

While his reanimated army carried out their bloodbath, he brought his hand to his mouth, biting his thumb to draw blood. He slammed his palm against the ground to summon Manda, the colossal giant snake.

Normally, summoning Manda was a last resort. The beast demanded a steep price for its compliance—a sacrifice of a hundred human lives. In the past, Song She rarely called upon it because the cost was simply too high.

But right now? The occupied city was practically overflowing with "sacrifices." There were more than enough targets for Manda to treat the battlefield like an all-you-can-eat buffet. It would be a crime not to bring it out.

Meanwhile.

Outside the trade building.

Because of the commotion caused by Li Dala and Song She.

Quite a few people here had already rushed over there.

However, many still remained.

From time to time, a few men would run out of the building, half-pulling up their pants.

Their faces were filled with satisfaction.

A few of the more wretched fellows had barely come out before they couldn't resist turning back inside.

"Yoshi~ the girls of the Great Xia Kingdom are so moist; I haven't enjoyed this kind of taste in a long time!"

"Yeah, after drifting at sea for over two months, these past few days have finally been comfortable..."

"It's a pity their thinking is so open now; I've looked at several but couldn't find a virgin."

"Me too, it seems today's girls are worse than the previous generation..."

Outside the building, several guards were still chatting idly, each reminiscing about their enjoyment inside.

Just then.

A man covered in blue lightning, his eyes filled with killing intent, suddenly descended from the sky and landed directly in front of them.

Debris flew and lightning sparked everywhere.

Before those guards could react, they were sent flying by the lightning exploding from the ground.

"Not good, ambush!"

"Quickly, get inside the building!"

Nearby Dongdao Contractors swarmed toward the entrance, desperate to take up defensive positions within the concrete walls.

But Cai Kun had no intention of letting them find sanctuary. Just as the vanguard reached the threshold, a massive, muscular octopus tentacle crashed down from the heavens, completely sealing off the entrance.

"Hold the line out here! I'm going inside to slaughter these bastards!"

Lei Li kicked aside a mangled corpse at his feet. The exact millisecond Cai Kun lifted his tentacle to clear a path, Lei Li clad his body in raw lightning, charging into the structure like a localized thunderbolt.

Within seconds, blood-curdling screams began to echo from deep within the building.

Meanwhile, across the city, at the ruins of the Jinghai City Lord's Mansion.

Just as Li Dala and Lei Li launched their respective assaults, Shimura Kenta, who had been meditating calmly in the center of the debris, slowly opened his eyes.

"They've arrived already?"

Shimura Kenta looked up toward the source of the distant, booming explosions, his gaze locking onto a colossal white clay dragon circling high in the sky.

"Excellency, the man riding that beast is named Li Dala," Ling Kai reported from half a step behind Shimura, his voice dripping with sycophancy. "He's an Elite Jonin Contractor wielding Explosion Release. He's a demolition specialist, and his raw power is formidable."

"For an Elite Jonin to command that level of widespread devastation, his Explosion Release must indeed be refined," Shimura Kenta murmured, his eyes narrowing. He turned to his lieutenant, delivering a cold directive. "Asakura-kun, intercept and eliminate him. A high-level demolitionist of that caliber poses too great a threat to the Empire. Crush him immediately."

"Hai!"

Asakura bowed sharply, pivoting on his heel to sprint toward Li Dala's airspace.

However, he didn't even make it past the perimeter of the courtyard.

A shadow erupted from the nearby rubble at a velocity that defied the naked eye. Moving with blinding momentum, the interloper delivered a devastating flying kick squarely to Asakura's chest.

The impact sent Asakura airborne, rocketing over a hundred meters backward. His body skidded violently through the debris, plowing a massive furrow of dust and shattered stone before finally embedding itself into a reinforced concrete wall.

From the swirling dust cloud, a calm, mocking voice pierced the air.

"You'd better worry about yourselves first. There's no need to trouble your pretty little heads with outside matters."
