Chapter 5 - A Chance Encounter

The Peak Master was Fang Xianye. He is male with a lifespan of over one thousand four hundred years. His Dao title is Yi Xu and his cultivation at the late stage of Spirit Transformation.

The Ethereal Sword Peak mainly cultivated the Ethereal Sword Art and was the peak of sword cultivators.

The Peak Master was Yan Ke, male, with a lifespan of around one thousand years. His Dao title is Yi Xing and hus cultivation at the late stage of Spirit Transformation.

The Supreme Zenith Peak belonged to the lineage of the Sect Master and mainly cultivated the Supreme Zenith Heavenly Art.

The Sect Master was Tang Qicen who is male with a lifespan of over one thousand five hundred years. His Dao title is Yi Xuan and his cultivation at the peak stage of Spirit Transformation.

He could ascend to the Spirit Realm at any time but had been suppressing his cultivation.

The disciples accepted by these five main peaks were all direct disciples.

The thirty-six inner peaks accepted inner sect disciples.

There were also various auxiliary halls such as the Alchemy Hall, Artifact Hall, Formation Hall, and Talisman Hall.

The seventy-two outer peaks served as the residence of outer sect disciples, while the eighty-one spirit peaks were places where miscellaneous disciples cultivated spiritual fields, spiritual herbs, and spiritual beasts.

Beyond these, the Heavenly Void Sect had two even more important places.

One was Apex Arcane Peak, which housed the cave residences of the guardian elders of the sect.

Every elder there had a cultivation level no lower than the late stage of Spirit Transformation and in order to protect the sect, they all did their best to suppress their cultivation.

The other was Heavenly Judgment Peak, where the sect's law enforcement disciples were stationed.

They mainly cultivated the Heavenly Judgment Origin Art.

The Peak Master was Gao Han, male, with a lifespan of over one thousand two hundred years and his cultivation at the peak stage of Spirit Transformation.

Forget it, there was no need to think about it anymore.

What did the heroine's sect have to do with him.

Since the heroine Xiao Ran was there, he would absolutely not participate in the disciple recruitment ceremony again.

Otherwise, he might end up being eliminated as cannon fodder by the heroine at any time.

Moreover, although the author had not made it clear, that Yu Lin from another world might also be a transmigrator like him.

Even though he did not know whether they came from the same world, he disliked trouble.

While he was lost in random thoughts, Xiao Shou walked toward the small courtyard he had rented.

The Heavenly Void Sect marketplace was located right next to the sect itself and was under the jurisdiction of the sect's law enforcement disciples.

The security was fairly good, so Xiao Shou did not need to be constantly on guard like in many novels where one had to avoid robbers.

Just as he finished thinking this, he suddenly froze and looked toward the two figures at the entrance of the courtyard.

He hesitating for a moment before he asked, "Brother Yi? Sister Ran?"

"Xiao Shou, you're back." Xiao Yi's eyes lit up as he quickly walked over.

Seeing Xiao Shou's pale complexion, a trace of concern flashed through his eyes.

Xiao Ran also asked with a worried expression, "Where did you go? I heard that you were seriously injured. What about your cultivation?"

"It's fine. I can just start cultivating again from the beginning. You do not need to worry."

They are the heroine and the heroine's elder brother.

Looking at the young man before her who was in his twenties with handsome features and a well-proportioned build, the original owner's memories continuously surfaced.

They had originally been fellow villagers from the same clan and not particularly close, but after the village was destroyed and the three of them were left alone with no one to rely on, they had depended on each other for survival.

After being brought back to the Heavenly Void Sect and failing the trials, the brother and sister used their own monthly allowances to rent a courtyard for him in the marketplace, hired an old woman to take care of him, and even collected Qi Refining techniques for him to cultivate.

They often shared their pills with him as well.

That was how he, with three spiritual roots, had managed to cultivate to the sixth level of Qi Refining within ten years.

The three of them had once been so close without any barriers between them, until the heroine Xiao Ran was reborn.

On the surface, she remained innocent and kind, but in secret she grew distant and indifferent.

She clearly know how important the Soul Tempering Flower was to him, yet she still chose to stole it.

Xiao Shou touched his chest in confusion.

For the first time, he sensed the lingering emotions of the original owner.

There was gratitude, there was confusion, but no hatred.

After being caused to die, there was no hatred. Or was it that a single Soul Tempering Flower, one life, and the cultivation of the sixth level of Qi Refining were enough to repay all the debts of gratitude that had been owed.

Was that really the case?

With these questions in his heart, he suddenly felt a sense of relief as if a weight had been lifted and his entire body felt much lighter.

His body no longer had the stiff and heavy feeling it had possessed upon waking.

It now felt just like his original body.

The original owner had completely disappeared this time.

Perhaps what he had just felt was the original owner's final thought.

Since the original owner did not wish to pursue the matter, there was no need for him to do so either.

Moreover, the heroine's protagonist halo was overwhelming.

If possible, it was better not to fall out with her for now.

At most, he could simply keep his distance from them.
