Eton looked the same.
It seemed four years hadn’t left any trace on him. Sez felt like he just walked out of her memory, except for his lighter hair color.
"…You look haggard, Sez.”
Eton said in a sweet voice. "Did something happen while I was away?”
Sez nodded helplessly. Eton sat by the window and reached out to Sez.
"Come here."
He carefully held Sez and lead her closer, patting her back in a kind manner. He stared Sez, giving her enough time.
"Runa is dead."
"I see. Was she your friend?”
"Yes, the one and only…. And she was my family….”
“…….”
"She died because of me."
"What are you talking about?"
"It was just… everything was on me. Everything."
Sez didn’t think she could explain all the lengthy backgrounds and that she knew Runa’s death in advance but couldn't stop it. So all she could say was, that it was her fault.
