Runa returned to her real home. Rayton ensured that her body was delivered with utmost courtesy, so there was nothing for Sez to worry about. Rayton prepared everything quickly and carefully. Kaen informed Sez, who had already run out of tears, of the plan.
“I'll escort Runa’s body home on your behalf, Your Royal Highness.”
Sez handed Kaen a small pouch of jewels she had snatched from Yerna’s collection, and most of the money she had too. That was Sez’s nest egg, but she at least wanted to give them something. Sez heard that Runa's sister had given birth to a child, so she must have needed a lot of money.
“Tell them that this is Runa’s… her sister’s, last gift. And tell them that I beg for their forgiveness.”
