The balcony was quiet in contrast to the bustling ballroom. People popped up occasionally but left after seeing Carolyn. Carolyn looked mature beyond her age and wasn’t threatened by Rayton like everyone else. It rather seemed like it was the other way around. She was looking at Rayton with curious eyes. Of course, that didn’t mean that Carolyn was a bitch like Lilien. But surely, she didn’t seem like any other ordinary noble lady.
‘Maybe it’s because she is the daughter of Duke Lygent.’
Rayton thought to himself.
"Anyway, I'm really happy to have met you like this.”
Carolyn smiled subtly. She was quite a sight to see underneath the moonlight, but that was it. She didn’t really seem to catch his eye as the thought of Sez all by herself kept bugging him.
"My maids mentioned that you are very close to Princess Sez, Your Royal Highness.”
Rayton stared at Carolyn when she mentioned Sez all of a sudden.
