From this draw Fu Tianling gained cultivation and a pill.
A Rank Two pill already counted as extremely high grade in this world.
The pill ranking system worked in reverse. Rank Nine pills were the lowest while Rank One pills stood at the top.
A Rank Two Marrow Cleansing Pill couldn't even be found in the Prime Minister's Residence. Fu Tianling once asked his eldest sister about it.
The best Marrow Cleansing Pill the residence possessed was Rank Four, and someone his age wouldn't benefit from taking it.
Fu Tianling didn't rush to consume the pill. After taking it, impurities would be expelled from his body. It would be better to eat it while bathing later.
As for the Black Tortoise Shield, he needed it badly.
After all, he was a cannon fodder villain who could die at any moment.
"Young Master, we've arrived."
A rough voice sounded from outside the carriage. It belonged to Meng He.
Fu Tianling stepped down from the carriage.
He looked up and saw a vast endless blue sky.
Looking forward, he saw a magnificent and bustling city.
This was the imperial capital of the Great Li Dynasty, the most prosperous city in the entire realm. The imperial palace of Great Li stood here.
Above the gate hung three bold characters, Prime Minister's Residence, written in sweeping strokes that radiated authority.
Even the stone lions guarding the entrance stood taller than a grown man.
The Prime Minister's Residence was enormous.
In his previous life he heard of luxury villa districts where people needed to drive inside their own property.
This residence was even larger than that, and its lavish construction ranked among the finest in the imperial capital.
Every servant he passed along the way bowed respectfully.
Fu Tianling's reputation was terrible, perhaps the worst in the entire imperial capital.
Even so, the servants still treated him with utmost respect and never dared cross any boundaries.
If Fu Tianling killed one of these household servants, it would be no different from stepping on an ant. No one would question it.
In fact, the original owner of this body really had beaten several servants to death.
The previous Fu Tianling possessed a warped personality. He could only vent his frustrations by bullying servants. Anyone with real strength forced him to think twice.
The reason behind that twisted personality was simple.
His father was Fu Canglong, the Prime Minister whose power shook the entire realm.
His eldest sister Fu Mengli was hailed as a once in a generation genius.
His second brother Fu Wuming was already famous throughout the Great Li Dynasty.
Even their adopted third sister Fu Qingning possessed talent only slightly inferior to Su Huanxue.
The entire family was filled with prodigies except for him.
He was the only useless one who spent his days drinking, gambling, and fooling around.
Growing up under that kind of pressure, it would be strange if the original Fu Tianling didn't become psychologically twisted.
Even so, the beautiful maids of the residence still threw flirtatious glances his way.
For them, the easiest path to rising above their station was letting this infamous young master drag them into his bed.
It wasn't much different from girls in his previous life dreaming of marrying rich men.
In every era ordinary people wanted to climb the social ladder. That truth never changed.
After passing gardens, artificial hills, and winding streams, Fu Tianling finally arrived at the reception hall.
Three people were already inside.
His two sisters and one brother.
Their father Fu Canglong was busy with official duties and rarely returned home, so his absence was normal.
"Fourth Brother, I heard you slept with the Vice Censor's wife and then killed her?"
The first to speak was his second brother Fu Wuming, wearing a square scholar's cap. His tone sounded calm without revealing any obvious emotion.
He looked handsome and refined. Like Fu Tianling, he possessed the delicate appearance of a pale young nobleman.
Their features shared about thirty percent resemblance.
Fu Wuming disliked his appearance though. He thought it lacked dominance.
This was the very second brother Su Huanxue wanted him to assassinate.
His cultivation was high and his personality strange. Honestly the whole family seemed full of eccentric people.
"The news spreads fast. What now, Second Brother? Planning to kill me and uphold justice?"
Fu Tianling casually found a seat, leaned back, crossed his legs, and looked completely carefree.
Fu Wuming answered with a blank expression.
"If you weren't my younger brother, I would kill you."
He wasn't venting anger or dissatisfaction.
He simply stated a fact.
Fu Wuming's personality was extremely straightforward. Right meant right and wrong meant wrong.
In his eyes Fu Tianling's actions disgraced the Prime Minister's Residence and deserved death.
But blood ties prevented him from acting.
Fu Tianling thought to himself that this guy must have been patted on the head too much when he was younger.
Talking to him felt impossible.
Ignoring Fu Wuming, Fu Tianling turned his gaze toward the woman sitting in the center.
His eldest sister, Fu Mengli.
Fu Mengli was stunningly beautiful.
Unlike Su Huanxue's sharp murderous aura, Fu Mengli gave off a gentle and refined presence.
She wore a black dress that outlined her graceful figure. Her features looked soft and elegant. Long slender legs stretched beneath the fabric, her waist narrow and supple, her hips curved beautifully, and her chest rose proudly.
Her long black hair flowed all the way down to her waist.
Her phoenix eyes carried both authority and deep emotion, making her impossible to read.
At first glance she looked like someone who stepped out of a painting. A woman so perfect she almost seemed unreal.
The original Fu Tianling feared this elder sister.
Their father rarely appeared at home, so Fu Mengli handled most of the discipline.
Strangely she never actually beat anyone, yet the original Fu Tianling feared her deeply.
"Big Sister, listen to him. Fu Wuming says he wants to kill your little brother." Fu Tianling spoke in an exaggerated pitiful tone.
Fu Mengli chuckled softly and slowly walked over.
"You seem much braver lately. You even dare look straight into your sister's eyes now."
Fu Tianling smiled brightly and showed a row of neat white teeth.
"My elder sister is so beautiful. Naturally your little brother wants to admire you a bit longer."
His teasing tone made Fu Mengli remain calm, but Fu Qingning's brows instantly furrowed.
"Fourth Brother, watch your words when speaking to Big Sister."
Fu Qingning was also very beautiful but carried a proud and aloof air. Her personality truly leaned toward arrogance. Even though she was adopted, Fu Canglong favored her greatly.
Fu Tianling looked at her coldly.
"I wasn't talking to you. You're just an adopted daughter. Since when did you start thinking you were my sister?"
"You…!" Fu Qingning clenched her teeth.
Her fists tightened until her knuckles cracked.
Her beautiful face flushed red.
Fu Tianling's words struck directly at her deepest weakness.
