Chapter 5 — One Thousand Years of Death!

Kaguya glanced at him, her expression indifferent, and said calmly, "There is nothing you can help me with."

Hearing this, the Emperor only smiled, convinced that Kaguya simply did not yet understand the true might of the Land of Ancestors. In this world, what nation could possibly rival it?

Perhaps she just hadn't realized how powerful this country was. Once she did, she would naturally come to rely on him… and eventually fall into his arms.

"If Miss Kaguya does not wish to say more, I will not press the matter. But please rest assured—there is no country in this world capable of standing against my Land of Ancestors," the Emperor declared confidently, his tone filled with pride.

Kaguya's expression did not change. "Thank you. You are a good person," she replied simply.

Her distant, almost untouchable demeanor only deepened the Emperor's infatuation.

Yes… this was exactly how a celestial maiden should be.

Kaguya lifted her gaze toward the sky. As streaks of meteors cut across the darkness, her thoughts gradually settled. Everything that had happened today felt unreal, like a fleeting dream.

Why did they possess that kind of power?

And… what was that presence that made her feel at ease?

Those two…

The Emperor, however, was completely absorbed in her beauty. His gaze lingered, filled with undisguised emotion. Faced with such a flawless woman, he felt an overwhelming urge to draw closer… to hold her in his arms.

Unable to restrain himself any longer, he spoke in a soft, almost entranced voice, "Miss Kaguya, you are truly beautiful."

Kaguya paused slightly and glanced at him, her expression faintly puzzled. Beautiful? She supposed that was true. Many within her clan had said the same before.

"Miss Kaguya, on a night like this, dark and quiet, how about the two of us— AHHHHHHHH!!!!"

Before he could finish, a sharp, unbearable pain shot through his body. His expression twisted instantly.

It was a kind of pain the Emperor had never experienced in his entire life.

Pain—so intense it shattered all thought.

"This is what Kakashi-sensei taught me, the Hidden Leaf's secret taijutsu…"

"One Thousand Years of Death!"

Naruto Uzumaki crouched behind him, two fingers extended, a wide grin on his face.

The overwhelming shock sent the Emperor collapsing on the spot, unconscious.

Seeing him go down instantly, Naruto froze, a terrible realization creeping in.

Don't tell me I actually… killed him?

Oh no, oh no, oh no!!!

Panic set in at once. Naruto's face turned pale as he stared at the unmoving body. If he had known, he would have held back more. He fidgeted anxiously, on the verge of jumping in place.

Watching him spiral, Kaguya finally spoke. "He's not dead. He only fainted."

"Really? That's great! I thought I…" Naruto let out a long breath, his shoulders dropping in relief.

Kaguya studied him quietly. The more she observed this boy named Naruto Uzumaki, the more she felt that there was something deeper about him—something unseen beneath his loud and carefree exterior.

"You have to keep this a secret for me. Whatever you do, don't tell Kakashi-sensei, or I'm done for!" Naruto pleaded, pressing his hands together.

Kaguya raised a hand and pointed behind him.

Naruto turned—

And immediately broke out in a cold sweat.

"Uh… Kakashi-sensei, you weren't asleep either?" Naruto scratched his head, trying to play it off.

Kakashi tightened his grip on Icha Icha Paradise, then smacked Naruto firmly on the head with it. "With that kind of noise, how could I not hear it? And after pulling something like this, what if he wakes up and throws us out?"

"We still know nothing about this world. Don't go causing trouble."

"Sorry, sorry! I won't do it again, Kakashi-sensei, really! Besides, he didn't even see my face!" Naruto said quickly, trying to defend himself.

Kakashi let out a tired sigh and crouched down to examine the Emperor.

It was a miserable sight—almost too painful to look at directly. One glance was enough to tell that he hadn't been able to endure the full force of the technique and had passed out instantly.

"You hit a bit too hard, Naruto," Kakashi said flatly.

"How was I supposed to know he was this weak? I barely used any strength!" Naruto muttered under his breath.

"In a moment, I'll send the Emperor back. Naruto, come with me. As your teacher, I need to give you a proper lesson." Kakashi grabbed Naruto and started dragging him toward the room.

"No, Kakashi-sensei, please! I know I was wrong!"

"I swear I won't do it again next time!!"

"Kaguya, save me!!!"

Bang!!!

The door slammed shut, cutting off Naruto's desperate cries. He clearly had no intention of being left alone with this "perverted" teacher.

Kaguya watched quietly, then lowered her gaze to the Emperor lying on the ground.

Mm. He did look rather pitiful.

......

By the time dawn arrived, the Emperor awoke in the bedchamber of his palace. His mind felt sluggish, his expression dazed as he slowly tried to sit up—

But in the very next moment, a sharp pain shot through him, and his face twisted in agony.

He remembered.

Last night, he had gone to Kaguya's residence, intending to invite her to spend the night with him… and then someone had attacked him.

Who was it?

Who could it have been?

To think someone would use such a despicable method… ruining the Emperor's first experience of such pain…

"What—there's blood?! Guards! Someone, come at once!!!"

The entire bedchamber instantly fell into chaos.

(U all know where that blood is... No need to mention it.)

…..

At Naruto Uzumaki's residence—

In the back courtyard—

Kakashi and the others sat together, their expressions unusually serious, as if discussing something important. Not far away, Kaguya stood quietly, her gaze lifted toward the sky.

"First, that white door is what brought us into this unfamiliar world," Kakashi said, his tone steady.

"I asked around. It seems the people here… don't have chakra at all," Sasuke added calmly.

"No chakra!?" Naruto and Sakura exclaimed in shock.

"Sasuke is right. The people of this country do not possess chakra within their bodies. Even I was surprised," Kakashi said, his expression still carrying a trace of disbelief.

"T-That can't be possible, Kakashi-sensei! If someone doesn't have chakra, then wouldn't that mean…" Sakura said, her voice tightening.

"That's right. It means death."

"AHHHHHH!!!" Naruto clutched his head in horror. Th-this…

It was the first time he had ever heard something like that.

"Naruto, calm down. This is basic knowledge. Don't tell me you didn't know?" Kakashi said, exasperated.

"Well… actually… I really didn't know!" Naruto scratched his head awkwardly.

The other three: "..."

He didn't even know something this fundamental—how had he even graduated?

"Second, those golden words that entered Naruto's body are definitely connected to the white door. If my guess is correct, as long as we solve the mystery—no, as long as we complete the mission written there—we should be able to return," Kakashi continued.

"It's about rewriting Kaguya's history. I know that part!" Naruto said loudly.

"But Kakashi-sensei, I still don't understand. What does it mean to rewrite Kaguya's history?" Sakura asked, still confused.

History…

Why would something like that be tied to a single person?

"All the answers lie with her. For now, we observe," Kakashi said, bringing the discussion to an end.
