Horikita POV
To be honest, I really don't know why I'm doing this. That Ryuen decided to blackmail me by using one of his injured classmates as an excuse and he wants me to pay him 1,000,000 points? Not a chance. But as of now I have no choice. Class D will be useless if Sudo isn't there to help us. I really hate admitting it, but he is the only one that can help Class D win this. I've managed to find Sudo in the dorms.
"Sudo-kun!"
"Horikita?"
"If you leave now, then Class D doesn't have a chance to win" I said, I really hate begging, but I know that we don't have a chance. I want to prove Ayanokouji-kun wrong. I have to prove myself to him, that I can not only make it to Class A but beat Class S as well.
"It's that bad huh." he said
"*sigh* listen, I know that you are taking the sports festival seriously but there are things that you should reflect on" I said
"Like what Horikita? Give me a break, you're really pissing me off too" he said
"Listen, Class D is nothing without you there. You're going to walk away just like that?"
"Hey! this sports festival should've been a piece of cake but there's always someone dragging you down. it's pointless" he said, I swear I really want to leave but not without you
"I understand, you don't want to lose, and you are good at what you do. But still answer me this: Are you walking away from all this now?"
Sudo was silent for a few seconds from my question by he answered it
"I just wanted to get noticed, get respect. That's all I wanted. I wanted to get back at people that disrespect me."
"I'm a scumbag I admit that, born from scummy parents. I tried not to be like them, but I did the opposite."
"You're wrong"
"Huh?"
"You can't blame others for what happens to you. You have to take responsibility. It's your own decision." I told him
"What do you mean?" he asked
"You and I are the same. We are just nobodies but it's your choice to be who you want to be"
"eh"
"You excel in sports, and you do have talent I admit that. But right now, you're currently the worst person on this campus. Continue living in a world where you try to escape reality, then you will be the biggest scum in the eyes of many" I said
"Fine, do what you want, I don't care"
*Lunch break will be over, soon. All students assemble on the ground*
"Go back there Horikita"
"I'm not leaving without you" I said as Sudo-kun just walks to the elevator.
"Fine, I'll wait for you if I have to"
"Suit yourself" he said as the elevator door closes
I really wonder if he's even coming back. But I have to win. Class D needs to win. I need to beat Ayanokouji-kun, prove myself to him that I can have a strong class.

Ayanokouji POV
So far, Class S has performed really well despite some of us being less athletic. All thanks in part of mine, Suzaku's, Kei's, and Karma's training. It's at least some improvement that anyone can be proud of. While scouting the area I saw Kushida slowly getting ready for her event. I went towards her and started talking to her.
"Ohh hello Ayanokouji-kun, it's been a while hasn't it" she greeted me
"Don't hide it from me"
"Huh? hide what Ayanokouji-kun?" she asked, she's obviously playing dumb. I already know what you are thanks to Yuuichi. So, either one of us can easily expose you if we wanted to.
"There was a traitor in Class D that's been leaking information to Class C." I spoke
"Traitor? Are you trying to make a joke? because if it is then that might be a bit harsh" she said
"Yuuichi told me, he saw you taking pictures of the list of participants from Class D"
"Huh? you mean Katagiri-kun? how did he?"
"I already know your true nature thanks to him, and the fact that you've been working with another traitor. What was his name again...oh yeah Daigo Haru right?"
"How did you know that name?" she asked continuing to play dumb
"I know that he could be working with Ryuen meaning that you must also be an accomplice. That is the case isn't it, Class D wouldn't be destroyed in this manner by Class C otherwise."
"So, what if I did leak the information. Besides there's nothing they can do about it, so that's that."
"Listen if there was a traitor, only one person could've leaked it. Maybe it's that Mastermind that you've been trying to find." she said
"Yes, but I know he wouldn't be involved with a plan this obvious. Besides Yuuichi was already a witness so the only plausible answer is that you are the traitor"
"So, should I report this to Chabashira-sensei?" I asked as Kushida giggled
"I knew that you're not an ordinary person Ayanokouji-kun and the same as well with Katagiri-kun and Class S" she said
"But it's no use if I get caught..."
"Why not? Yuuichi has the audio recording remember. He can expose you right here and now"
"But I know that it won't happen since that partner of yours isn't going to allow it" I added
"Partner? you still think I'm working with the mastermind?"
"I know that mastermind isn't an ordinary person either, but I warn you. Try to make threats against us, and you'll regret it. Also, I'm already aware that you're the one who has been snitching for Class C back at the Zodiac exam" I said
"Ohh did Katagiri-kun told you that too?"
"Maybe" I replied
"Do you know why I want to betray Class D?"
"If it involves Horikita then yes, I already know"
"*giggle* Yes I am planning to expel Horikita-san." I don't know why you're targeting her in particular, but it doesn't matter. Yuuichi and I can easily expel you.
"I'm not interested in making it to Class A, I only care about expelling Horikita-san and eventually, I'll also expel that devil Katagiri-kun"
"You know that Class S isn't easy to deal with"
"I know that's why my partner is going to help me" I doubt it, my hunch is that if he is someone from the White Room, then he wouldn't bother helping Kushida any longer. Besides by the way she's speaking. She tried to hide the fact that she isn't going to get that help anytime soon.

Several minutes have passed and the score has once again been even. I guess the biggest challenge of mine is my own class. They seem to be so good that they're their own rivals. I hope that we don't get bored to the point we have a civil war with one another. Because these guys are extremely talented to the point that they could even beat anyone in school.
I saw Sudo coming back to the field. Looks like Horikita managed to find her weapon. It's best for her to do her own thing. I know that her brother is better than her in every way, but this is the point where she begins to develop.
It's the final competition and everyone begins to take their place. Of course, I volunteered to run at the final leg of the race.
With the event under way.
It has already begun as the competitors began to run.
Most of Class S ran really fast and has gained significant leads. While I was observing the race, I overheard a conversation between the student council president and the vice president.
"I can't wait to make some big changes soon; however, I want to personally expel one of your little pets Horikita-senpai" the one with the blonde hair whose name is Nagumo said. Kei already gave me info on him. So, he's the vice president huh?
"Sorry but expelling someone as brilliant as Nanami would be a mistake" Nanami? does he mean Nanami Chiaki-senpai? Why would he want to expel someone like her?
As it was Nagumo's turn to run and the person who gave the baton was Nanami-senpai herself. I didn't know she can run that fast. I looked at the president as he noticed me.
"I've been observing your class. I admit, Class S is unlike any class I've ever seen. All of you truly are quite something" he said
"Answer me this Horikita-senpai, do you want to know who I really am?" I asked as the president as he stood there waiting. 1
"Of course, I know those skills that you demonstrated before were no flukes. So, show me your true self. I don't want you holding back now" Horikita-senpai said as he was given the baton.
"I don't plan on holding back anyway" I replied
"Before we run, I want to tell you something"
"What is it?"
"Run with all you've got" I said as Yuuichi managed to hand me the baton and the moment, I held that baton. It's time.
Before long we instantly sprinted across the field.
We easily started gaining ahead of my opponents. Everyone had their eyes on us as we ran neck and neck of one another. I have to admit, the president is fast that's for sure, but this isn't all I've got. We continue to run as fast as we could and within of a few seconds, I instantly gave myself a boost of speed, passing the president in an instant to make it to the finish line. I heard everyone cheered including those from Class S. It was a victory for the red team.
"Way to go Kiyotaka-san!" Kei cheered, even though he's on the enemy team. But we are Class S, so it didn't matter plus Class S did dominate the majority of the events, so we don't get to lose many points by then.
"You were great there Kiyotaka" Kazuto said
"Yeah, didn't expect you to run this fast." Yuuichi complimented
"Even you exceed my expectations" Kaguya said
Class S celebrated. Even though I'm not in to joining celebrations. I guess I'll go with this one since this is another well-deserved win for Class S.

After the event, I suddenly got a text message from an unknown number. The message told me to go to the special annex building right now. I immediately followed the instruction and went to the designated area.
I arrived at the area where the mystery person wanted to meet me. It was quiet. Too quiet. Until a voice broke the silence.
"Long time no see Kiyotaka"
I looked ahead and it was a boy who spoke. It was a boy with short black hair with a fade undercut. He has crimson eyes and wearing a devious smile. Why do I have a bad feeling about this and why does he know my name?
"Who are you and how do you know my name?" I asked
"Ohh right, you probably forgot about me. I don't blame you for that" he said
"You're him, aren't you? The mastermind?"
"Mastermind? yeah, I am but you know, and I know that both Ryuen and Kushida are nothing but pawns to my actual plan" he stated
"Plan?"
"Yes, and that plan is to return you from where you came from" he said
"The White Room"
"As I expected. You are the one that wrote that note inside that bottle back at the island" I said
"Good, good, this is what I expect from the Masterpiece himself!" he said with motivation
"Just who are you?"
There was silence as I see a smirk form in the boy's face before turning serious.
"My name is Daigo Haru"
