Tatsuya POV
So far, discussions have been pretty tough. Both Katsuragi and Horikita are currently in control in these discussions. Katsuragi according to the information we got on him, he's very conservative on how he approaches things. It's not a bad idea on his part to stay suggest that we should all stay silent but at the same time there are flaws to his plan. Such as the fact that the probability that every student that would go with the silent strategy is about 0.01%. I doubt that there wouldn't be anyone here that would stay silent.
"If any of you aren't going to even say anything then we're just wasting time here" Horikita said who's slowly getting impatient.
"It's not a waste of time. I told you, Class A will be silent for the remainder of this test, and I suggest you do the same, we might all pass this exam without even doing anything." Katsuragi said
"Well, I guess that makes sense but then again not knowing who the VIP would be a detriment just because we didn't discuss anything" a girl named Inogashira argued. Even though she's in Class D which the school labeled as "defectives", according to Kei's information he bought from the faculty, Inogashira has good grades in both her quiz and midterms. So, she's smart enough to understand the situation.
"She's right, we can't just stay silent, we need to at least cooperate in order to know who the VIP is" Asuna said
"Maaann what would be the point, no one here is even talking about anything" Ike groaned
"I mean if no one is interested in talking then I'll just conserve my energy until someone talks" Houtarou said while leaning on his chair.
"Fine then I'll talk" I said as I stood up
"Katsuragi, do you think keeping yourselves silent is good enough?" I asked
"Of course, it is a better action than risk guessing the VIP incorrectly"
"A sound argument but is it really going to be guaranteed?"
"hmm?"
"I mean there isn't anyone in this room that has an ulterior motive, even you"
"Are you suggesting that Class A will be betraying this group?" he asked
"Of course not, given how you do things, it's likely that you will stick to your plan, but will the rest do the same?" I asked as I looked at everyone who are currently listening to what I said
"If he won't discuss anything, then let him, but what about you Tatsuya? Given how you now decided to take action, might there be a possibility that one of you are the VIP?" Horikita looked at me as she questioned. She is right to be suspicious of us, but I know that my group in Class S are not the VIP.
"That's one possibility, but I can assure you that I'm not the VIP. If I was then I would've stayed quiet like Katsuragi" I replied
"Is that so?" she asked
"Suspecting us already? We can assure you that even if one of us is the VIP then we would've betrayed this group already" Houtarou spoke
"So, you admit that you guys are planning to betray this group?"
"That's not what I meant but given that everyone here decides to be quiet, then doesn't that make any of you suspicious of betrayal as well?" With what Houtarou said, almost everyone looked at each other aside from Horikita who was still staring at us.
"What about you Ishizaki? I'm sure Ryuen must've told you to betray this group since you are quite loyal to him" Houtarou added as he turned his attention to Class C's Ishizaki.
"Hold on, Ryuen-san isn't even here, and you suspect me because of that?!" Ishizaki exclaimed
"I'm just pointing out the possibilities, anyways I'll go back to conserving my energy now" Houtarou now leaning on his chair once again.
Despite the rest being silent, the atmosphere here is quite tense.
"Well, if that's all you have say then I guess I'll keep quiet for now" Horikita said
I sat back down as well. I can see Asuna trying to think about something. It is a difficult exam however there are way to succeed here if we do this right. Shiro has stayed quiet for a while now, but I guess given that she's separated from Sora, she has a tough time even talking once. Fine I guess we'll have to plan things out by the next discussion
Shinomiya Kei POV
Ohhh man this is so much fun right now. It's the second discussion and already I decided to screw with Class D since I could force them to make the wrong choices in this exam.
"Seriously you guys' suck, I mean I'm not sure if any of you can even make a valid argument" I said mockingly
"Hey! don't try to talk to us like that!" a random defect named Okitani said
"Yeah, just because you're from Class S doesn't mean you can insult us like that?!" another random said this time it was Hondo, seriously Class D can be dumb sometimes and its f***ing hilarious
"Guys calm down, Shinomiya-kun aren't you being a little harsh?" Hirata asked trying to calm the situation down
"Listen it's not our fault that they don't have the brains to understand the situation." Sora-san said with a smirk. I'm glad that I at least got through to the guy even though he's still adjusting from being apart from Shiro.
"Say that again?!" man these defects are so much fun to play with.
"Come on, don't deny it, I mean you guys wouldn't be able to guess who the VIP is even if you guys wanted to. Besides, I'm the only genius around here after all, no offense Sora" I said as I leaned on my chair with my hands on the back of my head and feet up the table.
"None taken"
"Then why don't you guess the VIP now then?!"
"Yeah, if you call yourself a genius, then guess the VIP now!" man look at the faces of these two defects, I could literally laugh at their faces right now.
"Alright then I have a better idea, how about I confess the fact if I'm the VIP or not" I suggested
The two defects looked at me with confusion but spoke either way
"Alright show us and then you'll end up losing points because of that" Okitani said sounding like he's about to laugh, what an idiotic defect.
"haha yeah you're really going to throw in this exam?" throw? who said anything about me throwing?
"Yeah, I guess I am because I am the VIP after all so here you go" I showed them my phone and everyone instantly in the room was shocked.
"Wait a second..."
"What is this BS?!"
I showed them my phone, but it didn't say that I was the VIP.
"What the hell is this?! You lied to us" Hondo said angrily, seriously I can't hold my laughter any longer if this continues.
"Of course, I was, you actually believed that I was the VIP? Don't you get it, you guys are stupid" I said while sticking my tongue and raising my middle finger.
Everyone aside from Sora was shocked that I lied about being the VIP. Of course, I once again used the dummy phone to trick these losers into thinking that the email I got is the same as from the school. Yes, I fabricated the email and made it look like it came from the school. They didn't know that I had two phones with me the entire time or so they thought. Since I gave my real phone to someone I already manipulated before the second discussion. Now I just have to make that person spill the beans and make everyone guess wrong instantly thus reducing class points and private points to the class that answered. This was mine and Sora-san's plan the entire time. Even though I did come up with it in the first place since Sora was still looking nervous and couldn't think because of Shiro before we entered the room.
But either way, we're gonna leave with 500,000 private points and 50 class points with ease and you know why?
Because I'm a genius
