The search lasted for nearly two hours.
Every corner of the Gladstone mansion was carefully inspected. The kitchen was checked, he dining room and even the servants' quarters and storage rooms were not overlooked.
The surveillance footage was reviewed repeatedly. Unfortunately, nothing unusual was found. The footage showed the cooks preparing breakfast as usual.
The maid delivered the tea normally.
Isabella did enter the kitchen, but she simply poured herself a glass of water before leaving.
"Thank goodness," Mrs Gladstone murtared under her breath watching the footage. She was grateful that Isabella had not done something foolish like poisoning Loretta.
There was no evidence that anyone had tampered with Loretta's food or drink inside the mansion.
As the investigation continued, Andy's expression became darker. The clues had reached a dead end.
Finally, he ordered his men to leave.
"Continue monitoring everyone in the house," he instructed before getting into the car.
"Yes, sir."
The Gladstone family all took a deep breath in relief watching the car drive off.
"Do you still think marrying Kevin Goodman is a good thing?" Mr Glandstone turned to his daughter.
Isabella shook her head, no matter how stupid she was, how could she miss the fact that Loretta was poisoned because of her engagement to Kevin. Even the fire did not seem to be an accident.
"This curse, is it man made or supernatural?" Benjamin could not help but asked.
The family of four looked at each other no one knew the truth but once again they realize this marriage was not a good thing.
Meanwhile the Andy's convoy headed directly toward Bellevienne Bridal. Unfortunately, the situation there was even worse. The building had suffered severe fire damage. Large sections of the lower floor had been destroyed.
Many items had already been removed by investigators and firefighters. The smell of smoke still lingered in the air.
Andy led several men through the damaged building while speaking with the manager.
"We need a complete record of everything Miss Gladstone did after arriving here."
The manager immediately cooperated.
She was still frightened by the entire incident. Everyone knew the bride-to-be of Kevin Goodman had nearly died in her store.
If the Goodman family blamed Bellevienne Bridal, the consequences would be disastrous. The employees were questioned one by one.
The fitting assistants, the manager, the reception staff and even the cleaners.
Unfortunately, most of them remembered very little. The fire had happened too suddenly.
Everyone had been focused on escaping.
Many details had already become blurred.
Hours passed. Still no useful evidence appeared or clue.
The damaged security system had made matters worse. Several cameras had been destroyed by the fire. Most recordings from the affected areas could not be recovered.
One technician shook his head helplessly.
"The hard drives are severely damaged."
"Can they be repaired?" Andy asked.
"We can try, but it will take time."
Time.... that was exactly what Kevin had not given them.
Just as Andy was beginning to lose patience, one of the fitting assistants suddenly remembered something, "Wait."
Everyone immediately turned toward her.
The young woman looked nervous.
"I remember Miss Gladstone having tea."
Andy's eyes narrowed.
"Tea?"
The assistant nodded quickly, "While she was discussing changes to the wedding dress with the designer."
The manager shot the assistant a look,"the tea is just the usual VIP tea service nothing special," she cut in before Andy could speak.
Andy ignored her and looked at the assistant who spoke. "What kind of tea? Did she eat any food?"
The assistant hesitated.
"There were snacks Small desserts and biscuits. As for the tea, the manager order a special brand saying Miss Gladstone was a special VIP," the assistant said.
The atmosphere instantly changed. The manager felt her body go stiff, "All this are just our usual service," she said. Her voice was small.
"Who prepared them?" Andy acted like he did not notice the strange reaction from the manager and continued to ask.
"The VIP lounge staff." The manager answer.
"Where are they now?"
The manager quickly gave their names. "But they were affected by the fire and still been observed in the hospital," she added.
Andy immediately ordered his men to go to the hospital and keep an eye on the two people involved.
Then, his gaze slowly swept across the blackened remains of the building.
The poison had entered Loretta's body roughly an hour before the fire.
The timing matched almost perfectly with tea and snacks during the private fitting session. There seem to finally be a clue but the fire had destroyed nearly everything.
The tea cups were gone, the plates too.
Any traces of poison had most likely been burned, thrown away, or contaminated during the rescue. Andy felt a headache coming on. The person behind this had either been incredibly lucky... Or they had planned everything from the beginning.
He slowly took out his phone.
A few seconds later, Kevin answered.
"What did you find?" Kevin asked coldly.
Andy looked at the burned building before speaking.
"We found one clue."
There was a brief silence.
"Loretta had tea and snacks with the designer shortly before the fire."
"And?"
"The poison could have been placed there."
Kevin remained silent for several seconds.
Then he asked,
"What about evidence?"
Andy's expression became ugly.
"The fire destroyed almost everything."
Silence filled the call.
The colder Kevin became, the more dangerous he usually was.
Finally, Kevin spoke.
"Then find the people."
Andy immediately straightened, "Yes, sir."
"The poison was given by a person, not a cup."
The call ended.
Andy slowly lowered the phone, he turned and looked at the manager. "Thank you all for your time," saying that he left with the other men.
"Do everything you can to recover the footage," Andy turn to the technician.
"Yes sir," he nodded.
The manager heard and her face turn slightly pale.
The group walked back into the car. "Keep an eye on the manager," Andy instructed the man walking next to him. Something had been strange about her reaction.
"Yes, sir," the bodyguard bowed.
