Even though Rowan was hindered by the sound of the siren he didn't falter for even a second and proceeds to walk towards Felix. One could tell by just looking that Felix dug his own grave by using his foul mouth, because Rowan is now enraged by the words that was blurted out by Felix.
For a split-second Rowan's eye seemed to change into what Lena saw before boarding the carriage, it's the bright image of the raging sun itself and everybody inside the village experienced sudden raise in the temperature of the climate surrounding them and their throats where parched for a minute.
He struck Felix across the face and another to his manhood with the boiling hot iron rod. Felix screams in agony and pain, "you will pay for this" after saying this he faints as he couldn't bear the pain. This time Lena noticed the changes in Rowan, she thought that he was a kind and carefree soul but to think he would be courageous enough to stand against a powerful person such as the governor for his loved ones. Lena's perspective on Rowan has changed, she looks at him while guarding his sister "Rowan the guards would be here in any minute, what should we do" she shouts from afar.
Without giving her an answer, he moves towards the beaten-up guard who called for back-up and lifts him by grabbing his collar "how many guards are coming towards us?" he asks threateningly. The guard gives up to his fear and confesses that there are nearly 50 guards stationed near the village.
"What do you say Lena, can you handle them" he asks to Lena while smiling playfully, she rethinks twice before giving him an answer because if she uses her power it would blow up her cover as the mortals of the Vlera realm can't use magic proficiently and even the basic powerless spells are known to only the elites, which is considered as a great achievement.
Even if she kills all of their enemies and the governor, the heaven governing the Vlera realm would investigate this matter and also the Supreme heaven's Inquisition would come here any time to investigate the prince's murder. She also doesn't know how to flee to another realm, this puts her in a dangerous situation. Why does she have to take this risk for a person she only knows for a day? anyone in their right mind would abandon them and would try to escape but she didn't.
Even though she barely knows him, she decides to fight for him and justice. Even if it would lead her to demise, she is willing to accept the outcome bravely with glory and honour. After choosing to fight for Rowan and his sister she gestures him to come close, he too moves closer towards her.
"I am an immortal from the Nyx realm so don't worry. I can finish them off easily, but we have to get out of here the moment the situation is cleared" she says without giving time for Rowan to respond in return as the they hear the soldier's battle cry from the village gate. She runs towards the gate to fight after signalling Rowan to get his sister on the wagon.
