Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Flynn’s Solution: Securing Investment

Flynn had already begun trying to attune himself to his world-incarnation.

And the moment he started, he immediately sensed the difference.

Before, perceiving the World Seed had required a bit of preparation. He had needed to steady his mind and gather his focus before he could look inward. Now, it came as naturally as instinct.

He had originally assumed that his consciousness was still human, that there was a fundamental difference between himself and a World. Even if it was his incarnation, he had thought some stiffness or resistance in controlling it would be perfectly normal.

Instead, it truly felt like another body existing alongside his own.

In barely an instant, his primary awareness slipped free of his physical form and followed that connection, descending into the world that had just been born.

The sensation that followed was indescribably strange.

Ordinarily, a human being could never fully control their own body. It might seem as though every gesture and movement obeyed the will, but deeper functions remained forever beyond direct interference.

For a world, however, complete control over every detail of itself was only the most basic instinct. The problem was that such a will existed only on the macro level. It lacked clear awareness.

The "rejection" Flynn had been enduring ever since transmigrating was the perfect example. At its core, it was simply the malice of this universe's broad and unconscious will. If there had been even the slightest trace of deliberate guidance behind it, then the little power contained within a mere World Seed would have counted for nothing.

And there would have been no point talking about skill or technique either. The idea of using a small force to move a great weight only worked if that small force existed in the first place.

But it did not.

The universe was only following instinct, trying to expel a foreign object. After failing again and again, it made no further adjustment. It did not know how to adapt, and it did not know how to intensify its efforts.

And now, Flynn's distinctly human consciousness had entered a world that should have possessed only a broad, impersonal will.

He had become genuine Heavenly Will.

This feeling of being able to do anything at all is truly wonderful.

Though it was only a newborn world, one whose scale did not even surpass many of the hidden realm spaces attached to Teyvat, its rank was absolutely real. It stood far above a planetary world like Teyvat, at the very least on the same level as the universe that contained it.

At the very least, the power this body possessed now far exceeded that of his human body.

A pity. This still isn't the right time to test it further.

With that thought, Flynn turned his gaze beyond himself.

The good news was that with the World Seed's sprouting, the world it gave birth to no longer relied on Flynn as its vessel. It had truly entered existence within this world.

Because of that, Flynn himself had once again become just an ordinary transmigrator. He was already beginning to fade from the world's list of things to reject. Once this passed, he could finally say goodbye to that cursed bad-luck constitution.

But there was bad news as well.

The world's rejection had not ceased. The target had merely shifted to the newly descended world itself. Worse, now that it had sprouted and been born, its "size" had become greater, and the intensity of the world's instinctive rejection was rising with it.

At this very moment, Flynn was experiencing that clearly.

From the perspective of the world, a pure white radiance was wrapping around his existence, continuously releasing a crushing force that was slowly building, layer by layer.

The most troublesome part was this: while the rejection from outside was growing stronger, the very act of sprouting and being born had consumed most of the foundation the seed had previously accumulated.

And that did not refer to the little bit of Light Realm power Flynn had gathered from Teyvat.

What it referred to was the seed's own reserve, the accumulation it had built up over an unknown span of time before ever attaching itself to Flynn, gathered from the void beyond worlds or from other unknown places.

As for that small amount of Light Realm power, it was merely like the final few drops of water a plant seed needed after already receiving enough nourishment to sprout. It looked picky, but in another world, there would most likely be some other suitable energy that could serve the same purpose.

In short, one side was weakening while the other was strengthening. The old trick of using a small force to redirect a larger one would no longer work.

At most, after one day, the force of rejection would build to the point where it could no longer be resisted.

And what would happen then?

Flynn did not know.

His original body might be fine.

But what if it wasn't?

And even if there was no disaster on that front, then the cheat he had finally restored from half-ruined to whole would most likely be crippled beyond repair anyway.

What would even be the point then?

Luckily, I expected something like this from the start.

The World Seed had not come with inherited memories or anything of the sort. But just as a person naturally knew how to breathe or swallow, some things were simply innate.

They were instinct.

Flynn had never stopped exploring and developing his cheat. And since the World Seed, as a quasi-incarnation, did not resist his study, he had naturally come to understand quite a few things about it. Combined with the facts of reality, it had not been hard to judge that once the world was born, it would inevitably face a trial like this.

And because of that, he had prepared no shortage of responses.

The one placed at the very top, and the one he considered the best solution, was this:

Find investors.

Just as he had said before, once a world was born and left behind the state of being a seed, it was like a human leaving ignorance behind, grasping language, and becoming able to communicate with its own kind.

And so, following that instinct, Flynn sent out a message across the channel that belonged to the will of worlds:

You there, big shot? Come out, let's talk. I've got a deal here, guaranteed principal, huge returns.
