Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 8 Ga

"Stark Industries, let me give you a warning. Are you ready? Are you ready?"

"Sell all stocks—sell everything! Abandon ship and run for your lives!"

On TV, a bald, ugly host smashed a glass cup with a baseball bat in one swing.

At the press conference, Tony made a bold decision to shut down the weapons division, causing an uproar across society.

The entire internet and media world was flooded with this shocking news. Stark Industries' stock price plummeted, shareholders were in despair, and some even joked about lining up to jump off buildings.

Even within Stark Industries, a massive earthquake had occurred. The company had always dominated the weapons market, standing at the very top of the arms industry.

Were weapons companies now supposed to sell baby pacifiers too?

From executives to ordinary employees, the entire company was in chaos, completely confused and directionless.

If you didn't understand the Marvel world, you could never grasp the influence of the name "Stark."

It had to be admitted—ordinary people could never comprehend the thought process of a genius.

Tony's decision kept many people awake all night.

Inside Stark's private villa, Rimuru turned off the TV, deep in thought.

He knew the plot—closing the weapons division would not destroy Stark Industries. Instead, it would push it into its next stage of evolution.

In other words, this was the perfect time to buy Stark Industries stock.

If he could become a major shareholder, his future in the Marvel world would be bright.

But the problem was—he was completely broke.

However, Rimuru himself was a massive treasure.

Even diluted countless times, his healing potions alone could cause a global sensation. If used properly, they could even be sold as cosmetics. Calling it a "money-making machine" would not be an exaggeration.

But all of that required one thing: revealing his abilities to Tony.

When Rimuru first arrived, he had no identity in this world—no legal status at all.

Although he disliked being called a "little girl," his current appearance really did look like a child. That was an undeniable fact.

If he showed his cards too early, he would attract countless hungry wolves.

Unless he was willing to overturn the table completely.

If this were an ordinary world, it might still be manageable—but this was the Marvel universe, where gods and monsters ran wild.

The happier you were, the faster you died.

Didn't you see Thanos? The so-called "global family planning director"—after retiring and going back to his farm, he was still ambushed by a group of violent people led by his own daughter, and ended up beheaded and reduced to dust. Miserable.

In the Marvel world, if you don't have money and backing, you'll eventually become cannon fodder sooner or later.

Those who survive usually have either background or strength—like Black Widow and Hawkeye.

Or they have god-level backing and power like Thor.

If you have strength but no backing, you're going to suffer badly.

The Hulk is the perfect example: absurdly strong, but constantly hunted and beaten, worse than a stray dog.

But going head-to-head with Tony? That made Rimuru hesitate.

Tony was a firm supporter of the Sokovia Accords, believing in registration and transparency—but Rimuru had no intention of registering at all.

He didn't even have the awareness to become a hero.

The word "hero" was too heavy, too noble—it carried too much weight, and one wrong move could burn you alive. That didn't suit Rimuru at all.

He was more of a "travel the world and get into trouble" type.

Registering? Absolutely not.

But there was no free lunch in this world. It seemed he had no choice but to cooperate with Tony.

As annoying as Stark was, his character wasn't bad.

"Great Sage, should I cooperate with Tony?"

"The Great Sage: You've changed. You are no longer the Great Sage I once knew."

Rimuru was speechless. Was he being criticized by his own skill now?

At that moment, the sound of electronic systems echoed through the room.

"Good evening, guest. Apologies for the interruption. Master Tony Stark has arrived."

Jarvis' voice rang out. Rimuru had already detected his presence earlier, but he was still intrigued by its intelligence.

"Hey, Rimuru kid, can I come in?"

Rimuru was speechless.

"You're already inside. Isn't asking now a bit pointless? Also, please don't add 'kid' when you say my name—it's embarrassing."

Tony, now powered by his Arc Reactor upgrade, didn't care about Rimuru's complaint.

"As the most popular Tony Stark in the world, no one can refuse me. As for the second issue, I'll try to remember it next time… little Rimuru!"

Rimuru: "..."

Still as arrogant and annoying as ever!

Tony naturally sat across from him on the sofa and looked at Rimuru seriously.

"Alright, just the two of us. I know it's rude, but can I know your real identity and origin? Don't try to lie—I've got Jarvis watching."

"How powerful is it?"

"More powerful than you can imagine."

"Then if it's so powerful, I should be able to tell it everything without telling you, right?"

"…."

What an annoying kid!

Seeing Tony's frustrated expression, Rimuru couldn't help but laugh. This was actually fun.

Messing with Iron Man was surprisingly enjoyable.

After thinking for a moment, Rimuru said, "Tony… can I trust you?"

Tony immediately became serious. Although he had only known Rimuru for a short time, he could tell her intelligence was far beyond her appearance.

"Anyone who knows me will tell you—I'm very good at keeping secrets."

Rimuru didn't bother commenting. Tony was both the best and worst at keeping secrets—it depended entirely on his mood.

In any case, he had to reveal his cards.

"Tony, I don't actually belong to this world. Strictly speaking, I'm not even human."

Rimuru told him everything: how he was originally a human on Earth, died in an accident, and was reincarnated as a slime.

Of course, he left out his skills like the Great Sage and Predator.

Even so, Tony's brain still struggled to keep up.

"Wait—you're saying you're a slime now? Like those gooey monsters in video games?"

"That's right."

Rimuru immediately transformed into his true form.

Tony watched as the little girl turned into a soft, elastic blue slime ball—feeling like his entire worldview had been shattered.

"So slimes are supposed to be mindless low-level monsters… and yet you're intelligent and powerful?"

"I was human. I'm basically the strongest slime in history!"

Tony clearly didn't take "strongest in history" seriously. Now that he had finished his Mark II concept, he felt like his life was reaching its peak.

Still, he was extremely interested in this magical being from another universe. His eyes lit up.

Rimuru instantly reverted to human form and made a warning gesture—arms crossed in front of his chest.

"If you dare use me as a research subject, I'll beat you to death. That's way too cruel!"

It was meant to be serious, but coming from Rimuru it sounded more cute than threatening.

"I know, I know. Little Rimuru is the strongest and very intimidating."

Tony raised his hands in surrender, though his tone was clearly not sincere.

Rimuru: o(≧口≤)o

Didn't I just tell you my life story?!

What do you mean by that?! You're treating me like some little loli you can tease!

Idiot!
