Before Shen Yao could ask anything, sound arrived from downstairs before he finished forming the words.
From the sound of it a few guests had gotten into a scuffle downstairs which caused a lot of commotion
Shen Yao turned toward the window instinctively — the direction from which sound was easiest to assess — and in the moment his attention he felt a breeze rise behind him
He turned back and found that the space where Yu Xie had been kneeling was empty— not even the warmth from when he could be detected. The shadow had returned to its natural state with the completely invisibility like he had never been there.
Shen Yao looked at the empty corner for a moment.
"Later, "he thought." We continue this later."
He noted his name in his mind he still needed to know from where he came from who sent him how long and why follow him
The commotion downstairs continued seeming not to have an end in sight.
He reached for his tea and took a sip.
The door opened.
Xi Shu appeared in it — his expression panicked as he glanced around the room for his young master. When his eyes finally found Shen Yao the anxiety in his heart faded. He released a breath.
"Young master." He asked worried "You're—"
"Fine," Shen Yao said.
Xi Shu looked at him.
Looked at the room everything seemed to be in its original position.
"What happened downstairs," Shen Yao asked.
Xi Shu's expression shifted — away from the relief and narrated what exactly happened downstairs
Shen Yao listened attentively his brows furrowing as he listened. Once Xi Shu was done explaining Shen Yao downed his cup of tea and stood up
"Let's go "A glint flickered past his eyes
"But young master it.... "Xi Shu tried to tell him
But Shen Yao had already turned and left the private room heading downstairs. Xi Shu followed behind him.
