The elevator doors slid open onto the executive floor of the Maguire Industries headquarters
Jude stepped out of the elevator with so much aura that all the employees who crossed his path greeted him, but he barely acknowledged any of the greetings. His mind was now on the special review meeting and no longer on the confrontation he had with Scarlett
He barely entered his office before the chief legal officer came into his office
"You look like you just lost a war", the chief legal officer said slowly
Jude loosened his tie lightly
"Well, not yet", he replied quietly
The chief legal officer let out a slight frown
"Tell me what happened"
Jude tossed the tablet towards him with the email the committee sent on the screen
"The committee rejected both proposals", he said calmly
The chief legal officer was about to pick up the tablet when he looked at Jude carefully
"Like they rejected ours and Bellingham Holdings' proposals?", he asked slowly
