Chapter 3

"?"

Guan Fuyun stared with a face full of question marks. What the hell kind of entry was this? It felt a bit weird. He wasn't sure, so he double-checked.

Forget it. He'd just give it to Azu.

Liking milk wasn't a big deal anyway. It was actually pretty good.

Although Azu already had some impressive abilities, in this chaotic Marvel world full of monsters and lunatics, he still wasn't truly powerful.

After receiving the "Sunshine Radiance" entry, he would finally have the potential to evolve toward a real Superman.

Unfortunately, it was still nighttime, so he couldn't see the effects yet.

Guan Fuyun first spent a few points in the system shop and bought a black trench coat that was bulletproof, heat-resistant, and corrosion-proof.

The moment the purchase succeeded, the coat instantly "loaded" onto his body — like a magical girl transformation. Very convenient.

"Is that magic?" Azu asked, completely stunned.

"Something like that," Guan Fuyun replied.

"Can I learn it too?" Azu immediately wanted to show off again.

"Look at you, getting impatient again," Guan Fuyun said with a smile. "Everyone has different talents. You have your own path. Your potential is limitless — it was just wasted by mediocre people before. I'll help you unlock it properly, little guy."

As he spoke, he reached out and gently ruffled Azu's soft blond hair while granting him the Sunshine Radiance entry.

In that instant —

Even though it was still night, the faint sunlight reflected by the moon was enough.

Azu felt a warm, comfortable glow spread through his entire body. Every cell seemed to cheer and dance with joy!

The overwhelming power that used to run wild whenever he got excited was now perfectly under his control.

And it felt like it was growing even stronger.

"It's Dad!" "My potential is endless, but only he can help me unlock it! Those people at the company were all useless idiots!" "Dad is stronger and better than anyone. Everything Dad says is right!"

Azu's glowing red eyes gradually faded. He roared internally while silently chanting "Dad" over and over.

He smiled and asked, "Dad, what does 'little guy' mean?"

"Uh… it's a term of endearment for kids back in my hometown," Guan Fuyun replied calmly, without batting an eye.

"Then can I call you 'Old Guy'?" Azu asked happily and excitedly.

Guan Fuyun: "…"

This little brat…

...

Back in the city center, the battle was reaching its climax.

After a fierce struggle, a burst of memories, and a hot-blooded comeback, the Hulk finally defeated the Abomination, putting a big question mark over this chaotic monster-versus-monster fight.

But what people remembered most was Guan Fuyun.

That ordinary man who had stood against a monster with nothing but his mortal body — and had moved everyone's hearts.

Even the Hulk got beaten up. Even depleted uranium rounds could only tickle it. Yet such a terrifying monster had been stopped and knocked over by one man's back.

This added a thick layer of mystery to him.

Even now, people might not have fully accepted the existence of monsters like the Abomination and the Hulk, but they had already accepted the legend of the "coolest man alive."

Almost no one had clearly seen Guan Fuyun's face, yet many were already mourning him as if he were gone.

...

Hulk: Excuse me?

I fought tooth and nail for half the night… and I ended up as the side character?

6/10.

...

Outskirts — the farm under a clear moon and sparse stars.

"So big!" Azu exclaimed in awe.

One acre was over 4,000 square meters. Two hundred acres was genuinely huge — especially compared to the cramped, narrow lab he had grown up in. It felt like an entire vast territory.

Just thinking that this was now his and Dad's home made Azu feel an unprecedented surge of joy and satisfaction.

Guan Fuyun inspected everything more carefully.

He saw the ring of tall trees surrounding the farm, the barbed wire fence, the large villa in the center, and all the supporting water and electricity facilities.

Water could be drawn from the well — clear and sweet. Electricity could be generated on-site — diesel, gasoline, or even manual power.

He couldn't help but smile. "Very good."

Neither of them could sleep that night, nor could they sit still.

"Azu, take this hoe and plow all the fields. Bury the weeds underneath — it'll fertilize the soil."

"Azu, come over here and help generate some power."

"Azu, dig deeper here. Yes, right there. We'll make another well and build a fish pond. I'll throw in some fish fry."

"Azu, here's the material — go build a pigpen."

"Azu, use your heat vision to weld this section of the wire fence."

"Azu, plant these vegetable seedlings and let the cows and sheep graze."

"Azu, come drink some milk."

"Don't be shy! Drink more. That's right. There's plenty more if you need it."

Azu worked like a diligent little beast of burden, while Guan Fuyun handled all the planning, purchasing, and instructions until his mouth was tired.

But the results were excellent.

By the time the sky began to brighten, the two of them sat on the edge of a field.

The fish pond was now full of fish. The fields were planted with vegetables. The fences held noisy cows, sheep, pigs, dogs, and chickens. The kitchen was stocked with jars, bottles, rice, and fresh well water.

They both felt deeply comfortable.

There was a wonderful sense of peace — the joy of knowing they could settle down here and live well for a long time.

"Gulp, gulp, gulp."

Azu drank the milk that Guan Fuyun had "produced" in big, satisfying gulps.

Compared to this beautiful moment, his old little blanket felt completely insignificant.

When he thought about how all of this was the result of his own hard work and how much he had helped his father, Azu's heart swelled with explosive pride and achievement.

He was over the moon.

"Azu," Guan Fuyun yawned and said, "you need to remember something."

Azu perked up his ears attentively.

Guan Fuyun continued, "In the future, if anyone steps on our land or damages our crops, you kill them and bury them in the soil."

"The most important thing in life is to keep things clean."

"Don't get blood all over your face. Don't leave fingerprints or traces everywhere. Heat vision is useful, but destroying the body and evidence is even better."

"Only then can we protect the peace we have right now. Understand?"

Azu nodded with a serious, thoughtful expression.

He remembered every single word Guan Fuyun said.

And in his heart, he emphasized:

Dad is right.

After that, Guan Fuyun got genuinely hungry. He went to the kitchen, slaughtered an old hen, tore it apart, added some dried bamboo shoots, and made a big pot of fresh chicken soup.

He then boiled two bowls of rice noodles and brought them over to Azu.

"Thank you, Dad!"

Azu looked overjoyed and shocked. He slurped a big mouthful.

Instantly, his eyes widened.

For a moment, he doubted his own life.

Was this even food for humans?

This was clearly food from God!

He took another bite.

It was still incredibly delicious.

So good that he felt like he was floating. His little blanket was completely forgotten.

"Slurp, slurp!"

He ate like a wild boar, smacking his lips loudly and making crude sounds.

Guan Fuyun: "…"

This little brat really had no table manners at all.

[Ding!] [Child No.1 Azu's gratitude has increased!] [90%… 95%]

No manners, but apparently that had its own blessings too.

Guan Fuyun smiled.
