Chapter 3: Taking Huo Yuhao as a Disciple (1 / 1)
The massive impact worsened the already critically injured sealed body, and Lin Yu's consciousness plunged completely into the deepest darkness.
Lin Yu—or rather the heavily injured, self-sealed Golden Dragon King—sank like an ordinary rock into the depths of the earth and began a long, unknown slumber.
Meanwhile, above the God Realm, the four God-Kings searched in vain with grim faces and could only first treat the near-dead Tang San.
Tang San lay in Xiao Wu's arms, his eyes filled with venomous hatred as he stared in the direction where Lin Yu had disappeared. The pain in his chest and the damage to his divine weapon constantly reminded him of today's humiliation.
Xiao Wu, worried and anxious, cared for her husband, completely unaware that a seed of the Destruction Dragon Soul had quietly been planted within her body.

"Little brother, I see you've got the potential of a God-King. How about becoming my disciple?"
Lin Yu looked at the foolish-looking Huo Yuhao in front of him and tried to persuade him.
Huo Yuhao glanced at Lin Yu's obviously suspicious smile and ignored him, quickly buying his things and leaving.
Lin Yu shook his head.
"This kid is surprisingly smart."
Yes—Lin Yu had already awakened and taken human form.
As for how long he had slept, he didn't know either.
What surprised him even more was that when he woke up, he had already arrived in the timeline of Douluo Part 2. Coincidentally, he came to the Star Luo Empire and happened to encounter the protagonist just as he was born—or rather, just as he appeared.
As for the Silver Dragon King Gu Yuena, Lin Yu didn't dare to seek her out. She and he were enemies who would clash on sight. With his current weakened state, meeting her would only mean being devoured.
Of course, once he regained enough strength, Lin Yu would not hold back. He would become the Dragon God, destroy the God Realm, and kill Tang San and those bastards. But for now, he could only slowly unseal himself and recover.
After being directly rejected by Huo Yuhao, Lin Yu rubbed his nose and wasn't too surprised. The kid was cautious indeed—worthy of being a future protagonist. Still, the "God-King potential" remark wasn't entirely nonsense; Huo Yuhao's talent truly was immense.
"Tch, looks like I'll have to use some unconventional methods."
Watching Huo Yuhao's thin figure disappear around the corner, Lin Yu smiled meaningfully.
He vanished in a flash, his aura fully restrained like an ordinary person, silently following him. Even in his heavily sealed state, tracking an unguarded boy was effortless with his Golden Dragon King senses.
Huo Yuhao's home was on the outskirts of Star Luo City, near a remote and dilapidated courtyard outside the White Tiger Duke's estate. Before even getting close, Lin Yu's sharp senses caught the oppressive atmosphere and a faint smell of blood.
His expression turned cold instantly. He sped up.
At the entrance of the shabby courtyard, he heard sharp, venomous shouting and muffled groans of pain.
"Bitch! A little brat you raised dares to talk back to her masters? Today I'll teach you your place!"
A middle-aged woman dressed as a servant, with a vicious face, stood with hands on her hips, commanding two burly male servants:
"Beat her! Hard! Let her remember her place!"
The two servants mercilessly kicked and punched the weak woman curled up on the ground.
That woman was Huo Yuhao's mother—Huo Yun'er. Her face was pale as paper, blood seeping from her lips, eyes filled with despair and pain, yet she bit her lip tightly to avoid making a sound.
"Mother—stop! Let go of my mother!"
Huo Yuhao rushed in like a little beast, eyes bloodshot, trying to stop them.
But his strength was no match for grown men. He was slapped to the ground, his face swelling instantly.
"You little brat, you want to die too?"
The vicious servant woman sneered.
At that critical moment, a lazy yet bone-chilling voice rang out:
"Heh… quite the arrogance. Even servants of the White Tiger Duke's estate act like this now?"
Everyone froze.
Leaning casually against the broken doorway stood a young man in plain clothes. Handsome, but carrying a strange, unsettling aura. He looked at them coldly.
It was Lin Yu.
"Who are you? How dare you interfere in the Duke's affairs? Are you tired of living?!" the servant woman shouted fiercely, though her voice lacked confidence.
Lin Yu didn't even bother looking at her. He simply glanced at the two male servants.
"On your knees."
Those two words fell like an invisible hammer onto their souls. A terrifying pressure from a higher lifeform crushed them instantly.
Thud! Thud!
Both men collapsed to their knees, pale and trembling violently, too terrified to even look up.
The servant woman also felt a wave of fear surge through her, her back drenched in cold sweat.
Lin Yu ignored her and walked straight to Huo Yun'er. Huo Yuhao was crying, holding his mother tightly.
"Mother! Wake up! Please wake up!"
Huo Yun'er was barely conscious.
Lin Yu crouched down, checked her pulse, and injected a faint but high-level divine life force into her body.
He frowned slightly.
"Internal organs damaged, severe blood loss, old hidden injuries… a little later and she'd be dead."
Without paying attention to the others, he placed his hand above her chest. A warm surge of life energy flowed into her body, repairing her vital injuries.
Color slowly returned to Huo Yun'er's face. Her breathing stabilized.
Although not fully healed, her life was no longer in danger.
Huo Yuhao looked at his mother in shock and gratitude, his eyes filled with disbelief and reverence as he turned to Lin Yu.
Only then did Lin Yu slowly stand up, his cold gaze falling on the frozen servant woman.
"Now… it's time to settle accounts."
"Go. Call your mistress. And that useless Duke of yours."
"Tell them they've raised a few biting dogs—and the owner needs to come out and answer for it."
"I'll be waiting here."
"And tell them this: if they don't come… they won't be able to handle the consequences."
