Chapter 1
In the Land of Fire, at its heart, a village was being built—a village where all the clans of the Land of Fire would live together. The purpose of this village was noble: to stop wars among clans and prevent the unnecessary deaths of children.
On the brink of a rocky mountain—the same mountain where Madara and Hashirama had once promised to build a village in their youth, the same mountain where they later named it Konoha, and the same mountain where the faces of future Hokages would one day be carved—stood the Hokage Rock.
At the top of this mountain stood a group of people, watching as others entered their new home, Konoha. The notable thing about this group was the symbol on their backs—resembling a ping-pong bat. They were members of the Uchiha clan.
An eighteen-year-old boy spoke to the tall man standing in front of him.
"Brother… do you really have to go?"
The man did not turn away from Konoha. In a calm voice filled with brotherly affection, he replied,
"Katsuke, my brother… you know it, I know it, and the members of Bloodmoon Night know it too—my power is overwhelming. You might think I can defeat Hashirama or Madara alone… and you would be right. But even then, I'm still not strong enough to do it easily."
He paused for a moment before continuing,
"I have a problem… a mental one, you could say. If something doesn't satisfy me, I keep trying again and again until it does. Whenever I see Madara or Hashirama, that urge grows even stronger. I don't know if it's because of my lack of protection when I was young… or simply my desire to become stronger."
He let out a quiet breath.
"Whatever the reason, I don't care much. I will travel the world, learn from nature, and perfect my existing techniques. Don't worry about me. Just do what you must—as the vice leader of Bloodmoon Night."
As soon as he finished speaking, he vanished. The others followed, disappearing as if they had never existed.
Katsuke entered the Uchiha clan area, thinking about what his brother, Uchiha Ryo—the leader of Bloodmoon Night—had said:
"Do what you must as the vice leader of Bloodmoon Night."
He remembered when he was five and his brother was nine—the time Ryo had created this organization. Back then, it was only the two of them. But now, it had grown to over seventy ninjas, with thirty-three at Jonin level.
Ryo had created Bloodmoon Night to support the Uchiha clan. The organization helped orphaned Uchihas learn many things, including how to become ninjas. For those who didn't want to become ninjas or lacked the talent, they were taught business, farming, and other occupations.
They also supported civilian Uchihas by providing various kinds of information at low cost and took care of elderly Uchihas. Even though the organization barely made money, many were willing to join Bloodmoon Night and contribute.
Thinking about all this, Katsuke walked toward his brother's house.
There, he saw Ryo fully prepared. Two large scrolls were strapped to his back. A purple-colored hansei hung at his side, along with a red spear tipped with silver—Yama, the spear Ryo always used.
Ryo turned slightly and said,
"I'll be going now. Take care of yourself… and marry Uchiha Rim. When I return, I expect to hold my nephew—or niece."
Katsuke's face turned red.
"It's not like that!" he protested, embarrassed. Then, trying to hide his expression, he added, "Now hurry up… or you'll miss Konoha's sunset."
Ryo gave a faint smile.
And with that—he was gone.
