Chapter 4 - The First Move Before the Storm

[Bonus Chapter for Rewards & Support — Thank You!]

Inside the Multiverse Communication Guild, Ryujin's message had barely been sent before it caused an immediate uproar.

LinglongIsCute: "????"

Eriri: "Wait… what did the new guy just say?! Oh my god—this feels like something huge is about to happen!"

Asuna: "Rebellion? Uchiha? What is 'Uchiha'? It sounds like a clan or a bloodline surname…"

Utaha Kasumigaoka: "Rebellion… so the newcomer is about to start a war? Possibly even a full-scale clan conflict?"

Asuna: "If 'Uchiha' is a clan name, then yes… this could be something on the level of a clan war."

Utaha Kasumigaoka: "Planning something like that… our new member might be someone quite extraordinary."

Eriri: "Whoa… could he be a king or something? Now I'm really curious about his identity!"

Asuna: "Even if he is, in his world he might still just be an ordinary human. Limited lifespan, no supernatural abilities. Unlike Linglong's world, where powers actually exist."

Eriri: "Yeah… that makes sense."

Utaha Kasumigaoka: "We'll know when he comes back online. Let's ask him then."

The conversation continued, growing livelier by the second.

But Ryujin had already exited the guild.

Slowly, he lifted his gaze.

Before him stood dozens of Uchiha elites—elders, commanders, and core members of the clan—all waiting for his decision. Their eyes burned with anticipation, no longer bothering to conceal it.

They wanted war.

They wanted power.

They wanted control.

Part of that desire was born from oppression.

But the other half—

Was pure ambition.

After all, very few in this world could resist the temptation of absolute authority.

If the Uchiha Clan seized control of Konoha… if their Clan Head became Hokage… then the Uchiha would truly ascend to the peak. The number one noble clan of the village.

And beyond that—

Who was to say they couldn't one day rule the entire ninja world?

The Uchiha were proud.

But their pride wasn't empty.

It was built on strength.

The Sharingan.

A bloodline ability so powerful it bordered on the absurd. Once awakened, even a mere Genin could overwhelm a Chūnin… and under the right circumstances, even stand against a Jōnin.

That alone spoke volumes about its terrifying potential.

And because of that strength—

They believed.

They were superior.

They had the right to rule.

Even Ryujin, despite being a transmigrator, had long since acknowledged it.

The Uchiha Clan…

Was truly powerful.

And now—

He stood at its peak.

The Clan Head.

The man they trusted above all others.

To the Uchiha, his command mattered more than even the Hokage's.

That was their loyalty.

Absolute.

Unquestioning.

And if his people placed such faith in him—

How could he betray that?

Ryujin slowly raised his head.

A crimson glow flickered within his eyes—cold and decisive.

"If the village insists on suppressing and controlling the Uchiha…" he said calmly, his voice steady yet heavy with intent, "then why should we sit and wait for our destruction?"

The room fell silent.

Every word carried weight.

"If Hiruzen Sarutobi wishes for conflict—" he continued, his gaze sharpening, "then we will give him war."

For a split second—

Stillness.

Then—

The entire hall erupted.

"Yes, Clan Head!"

Excitement surged through the elders, their eyes blazing brighter than ever. They had not misjudged him. This new Clan Head—

Was far more decisive than the last.

The former leader had hesitated.

He feared consequences.

He held back.

And because of that—

The Uchiha had been weakened again and again.

But Ryujin—

Was different.

Younger.

Stronger.

And far more ruthless.

"Clan Head, we will begin preparations immediately," one elder declared firmly. "We will mobilize the entire clan, minimize casualties, and ensure the success of the plan."

Ryujin gave a slight nod.

"Do it."

A rebellion was not something to be carried out on impulse. Charging blindly into conflict would only lead to disaster—even if they succeeded in seizing power.

Because victory at the cost of everything…

Was no victory at all.

The Uchiha Clan.

Konoha itself.

Their overall strength would be crippled.

And in times of war—

That was a death sentence.

Because right now, the Second Great Ninja War was still raging. If internal conflict erupted at full scale, other nations would seize the opportunity without hesitation.

The Uchiha desired power.

But they were not fools.

They would never allow outsiders to reap the benefits of their war.

Ryujin understood this clearly.

If they were to fight—

Then external threats had to be handled first.

If his memory served him right, the Land of Lightning was already preparing to make its move. The flames of war were spreading across nations.

The timing…

Was critical.

Yet instead of dwelling further on strategy, Ryujin suddenly vanished.

In the next instant—

A figure appeared at the edge of the Uchiha district.

A dense forest.

Silent.

Hidden.

Standing atop a tree branch, Ryujin lowered his gaze.

Below him—

Two figures stood in the shadows.

One wore the attire of the Uchiha Clan, his face concealed behind a mask.

The other—

Dressed in a strange, unfamiliar uniform.

Ryujin recognized him instantly.

A member of Root.

Konoha had two shadow organizations beyond its major clans—

ANBU… and Root.

ANBU operated directly under the Hokage, handling protection, intelligence, and assassination missions.

But Root…

Was something else entirely.

Founded by Danzo Shimura under the pretense of an ANBU training division, Root operated independently in the shadows. Its members had no identity, no emotions, no hesitation.

They were tools.

Living weapons.

And the man below—

Was one of Danzo's.

Ryujin watched silently as the two finished exchanging information.

Then—

As the Root agent turned to leave—

Ryujin disappeared.

The hunt had begun.
