Chapter 1 - Unnamed

Chapter 1: The Letter

The summer of 1997 carried a strange stillness, as if time itself had slowed down.

Seventeen-year-old Daniel Roy had never left his small town of Ashford—a quiet place surrounded by endless green fields and fading railway tracks. Life there was simple, predictable… until the day he found the letter.

It was hidden in his grandfather's attic, tucked between old newspapers and forgotten memories. The envelope was yellow with age, addressed in shaky handwriting:

"To whoever still remembers."

Inside lay a fragile, hand-drawn map. A red circle marked a location deep inside the woods behind Ashford. At the bottom, a single line was written:

"July 17, 1997. Before midnight."

Daniel checked the calendar.

It was July 16.

Chapter 2: A Forgotten WarningWhen Daniel showed the letter to his grandfather, the old man's expression changed instantly.

"Where did you get this?" he asked, his voice unusually tense.

"In the attic," Daniel replied. "What does it mean?"

For a long moment, his grandfather said nothing. Then, quietly:

"It's something that should have stayed buried."

That was all he said.

But it was enough to make Daniel curious—and curiosity, he knew, was something he could never ignore.

Chapter 3: Into the Woods

That evening, just before sunset, Daniel followed the map into the woods.

The deeper he went, the stranger everything felt. The air grew heavier, the silence more intense. Even the usual sounds of birds and insects seemed to fade away.

After nearly an hour, he reached a clearing.

And there it was.

A rusted metal structure, half-hidden beneath the earth.

It looked like a door.

Chapter 4: The Others

"You found it too."Daniel turned sharply.

A girl stood at the edge of the clearing. She seemed calm—almost as if she had expected this moment.

"I'm Maya," she said. "And I'm guessing you got the letter."

She wasn't alone for long.

By nightfall, five teenagers stood in the clearing—each holding the same mysterious letter.

Daniel – quiet, observant

Maya – confident, fearless

Leo – curious and tech-savvy

Sarah – thoughtful and intuitive

Amir – skeptical and cautious

None of them knew why they had been chosen.

But all of them knew this wasn't a coincidence.

Chapter 5: The Door

The metal structure had no handle—only a small keypad embedded in its surface.

Suddenly, it flickered to life.

A message appeared:

ENTER YEAR

"Try something," Leo suggested.

Maya stepped forward and pressedthe numbers:

1 9 9 7

The ground trembled.

With a deep, echoing sound, the door slowly opened—revealing a dark staircase descending into the unknown.

Chapter 6: Beneath the Surface

The underground facility was unlike anything they had imagined.

Old computers lined the walls. Monitors flickered with static. Papers were scattered everywhere, filled with strange symbols and calculations.Daniel approached one of the screens.

It suddenly came alive.

A man appeared—his face tired, his eyes filled with urgency.

"If you're watching this," he said, "then the timeline still exists."

The group exchanged confused glances.

"What timeline?" Amir whispered.

Chapter 7: The Truth

The man continued:

"This facility was built in 1975. We discovered anomalies—moments in time where events could be altered."

Maya leaned forward. "You mean… time travel?"

"Not travel," the man replied. "Correction."

According to the recording, a catastrophic event was supposed to occur in 1997—one that would permanently change the world.

This place was built to stop it.

But it required five individuals.

Them.Chapter 8: The Decision

At the end of the message, the man spoke one final time:

"You must choose. Do nothing… and let history unfold. Or intervene… and risk everything."

The screen went dark.

A clock on the wall showed the time: 11:42 PM

They had eighteen minutes.

Arguments broke out immediately.

"We can't just change time!" Amir insisted.

"But what if we're supposed to?" Sarah replied.

Daniel stayed silent.

Then he spoke softly:

"What if this already happened? What if… this is part of history?"

Chapter 9: MidnightAs the clock struck midnight, the entire facility came alive.

Machines roared. Lights flashed.

A control panel lit up in front of them.

"This is it," Maya said.

One by one, they stepped forward.

Five hands rested on the panel.

Daniel took a deep breath.

And pressed the button.

Chapter 10: A Changed World

The next morning felt… different.

Ashford looked the same—but something was off.

New buildings stood where empty spaces once existed. People spoke of memories Daniel didn't have—but somehow felt familiar.

The five met again at the clearing.

The metal door was gone.

"Do you remember?" Maya asked.

"Yes," Daniel replied."So we changed it," Leo said.

"Or fulfilled it," Sarah corrected.

Amir looked uneasy.

"And what exactly did we change?"

No one had an answer.

Epilogue: Echoes of Time

Years passed.

Daniel eventually left Ashford, carrying on with his life.

But sometimes, in quiet moments, he would remember that night.

The woods.

The choice.

The feeling that the world had shifted… just slightly.

And the question that would never leave him:

Did they change the future?

Or simply become a part of it?
