Kojou Akatsuki felt Arcueid's gaze and couldn't help but swallow hard. "Um, excuse me, miss... why are you looking at me like that?"
Hearing Kojou Akatsuki's words, a red glint flashed through Arcueid's eyes, and she couldn't resist asking, "Did you just say you've become a True Ancestor?"
Ren Isana's lips twitched at the sight. He immediately spoke up, "No, you misheard. He hasn't. He's just turned into an ordinary vampire, not a True Ancestor."
Although Kojou Akatsuki didn't understand why, he hurriedly nodded after hearing Ren Isana's intervention. "That's right! I'm no True Ancestor, just an ordinary vampire!"
As he said that, Arcueid nodded and said with an innocent expression, "Is that so? What a shame. I thought you were about to become a True Ancestor. If you were, we would have been of the same kind."
Her voice was thick with disappointment, though it was hard to tell exactly what she was disappointed about. The scene sent a cold sweat down Kojou Akatsuki's back; luckily, his best bud arrived just in time.
"Kojou, you okay?" Motoki Yaze's voice sounded like music to his ears. Hearing it, Kojou Akatsuki breathed a sigh of relief and hurriedly walked out to start chatting with his friend.
Asuna watched the scene with a flash of curiosity in her eyes. *What's going on? Did something happen?* She glanced at Ren Isana but didn't ask out loud, deciding it would be better to ask when they got back.
Ren Isana exchanged a look with Asuna before turning to the blonde girl. "Arcueid, wait here for a moment. I'll ask around to see if we can solve your vampiric urge here."
Arcueid's eyes lit up immediately upon hearing Ren Isana's words, and she nodded obediently. She was certainly looking forward to that.
Seeing her reaction, Ren Isana stepped aside and sent a message to Natsuki Minamiya to inquire about the matter. It didn't take long for him to receive a reply, telling him to just have Arcueid wait there and that she would make the necessary arrangements.
After reading the message, Ren Isana turned to Arcueid and said, "Alright, I've checked. She wants you to wait here for a bit; someone will be over shortly to handle your arrangements."
It looked like there wouldn't be any issues. Arcueid felt even happier at the news. If her vampiric urge could truly be solved, that would be wonderful. At this point, she had completely stopped thinking about the possibility of Kojou Akatsuki being a True Ancestor.
"Then just wait here for a while. Someone will arrive to take care of you. We'll be heading out first. Oh, and please hold out your hand. I'll give you a mark so you can contact us once you're finished,"
