Chapter 258 - Chapter 258 Run Quickly, or You Won't Escape Later!

Kojou Akatsuki actually didn't have much of a psychological resistance to becoming a vampire. Wasn't it just a change of race? Not being human anymore wasn't a major issue to him.

What he actually cared about was that vampiric urge. Although he could control it, it was still quite annoying. After all, his talent was [Berserk], so he considered himself quite experienced in the art of self-control.

Ren Isana looked at Kojou Akatsuki and pressed a hand directly onto his shoulder. "Let me see if there's anything wrong with your soul first. A physical check might come up clean, but things are different when it comes to the soul."

Ren Isana's touch was firm, his expression serious as he began his examination.

When Kojou Akatsuki heard Ren Isana's words, he was instantly shocked. "You can check souls? Class Rep, have you obtained some kind of ridiculous ability again?"

Good grief, had he missed something? Since when did Ren Isana possess power that involved the soul? Wasn't this getting a bit too absurd?

"I obtained it when I went over there. Don't be nervous, let me check you over!" With that, Ren Isana activated his [Third Magic] and began inspecting Kojou Akatsuki.

He was afraid that this kid might have been possessed by some vampire. After all, such existences really did exist in the Type-Moon world—and quite a few of them, at that. It was better to give him a comprehensive check-up.

It was a good thing he looked. With one glance, Ren Isana indeed discovered something was wrong. "Your soul... there really is something in there!"

Hearing this, Kojou Akatsuki's expression shifted instantly. Without a second word, he turned to Ren Isana with a face full of solemnity and cried out, "Godfather, I'm counting on you!!"

His mental state had completely shattered. Something was actually wrong with his soul? He didn't have even the slightest doubt that Ren Isana might be tricking him.

Watching Kojou Akatsuki, whose dignity had instantly vanished into tatters, Ren Isana was somewhat speechless. However, he didn't stop his movements. The power of [Third Magic] reached out to grasp that jarring aura buried deep within Kojou Akatsuki's soul.

"It's going to hurt a bit, bear with it!" As Ren Isana's voice rang out, Kojou Akatsuki was about to say he wasn't afraid, but in the next moment, a wave of pain that could make him faint on the spot erupted from his soul.

It wasn't physical pain, but a spiritual agony—a terrifying sensation where he couldn't pinpoint exactly where it hurt, yet it felt as if it were coming from every direction. He wanted to scream, but the sheer intensity of the pain left him voiceless.

Because of this, Kojou Akatsuki fell into an incredibly bizarre state. His body began to twitch uncontrollably, the corner of his mouth drooped, and he started making incoherent "aba aba" sounds as his pupils began to lose focus.

In the next moment, Ren Isana reached out and pulled a mass of pitch-black energy directly from his soul. The moment that energy was extracted, Kojou Akatsuki's entire body went limp, and then he collapsed to the ground, foaming at the mouth and twitching.

"Damn it, [Third Magic]?? Let me go!!" A Tier 7 aura radiated from the energy mass in Ren Isana's hand as it began to struggle frantically. It had never imagined in its wildest dreams that it would be dragged out like this.

The explosion of this aura caused the hospital's alarms to blare instantly. A group of people quickly rushed over, and Natsuki Minamiya appeared on the scene at the first possible moment. Her brow furrowed when she saw the situation.

However, Natsuki Minamiya's gaze was quickly drawn to the aura in Ren Isana's hand. Sensing the power radiating from it, her pupils shrank. "You pulled that out of Kojou Akatsuki's body?"

Ren Isana nodded. He used [Third Magic] to firmly imprison the remnant soul before explaining, "This is a remnant soul that was parasitizing Kojou Akatsuki's soul. It seems it wanted to possess the kid?"

He looked at the True Ancestor's remnant soul in his hand, a strange glint in his eyes. Where did this thing come from? It wasn't hard to guess. It appeared before Kojou Akatsuki so conveniently, and it just happened to transform him into a vampire.

Who was in charge of the vampires in that world? Gaia must know very well. After all, the fact that Ren Isana and the others were scattered all over the world was thanks to those two Wills.

"Give it to me!" Just as Ren Isana was lost in thought, a supreme Will descended. In the next instant, the remnant soul in his hand vanished, followed by a piercing, tragic scream echoing from the void.

Hearing that sound, Ren Isana was instantly amused. But soon, everyone felt a sky-shattering fury. This rage flashed for a moment and then vanished, along with that supreme Will.

If he wasn't mistaken, the Will must have learned something from that remnant soul. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been so angry. Right now, it was likely off to find trouble with the person responsible.

After all, the only thing that could hide from a World Will was another World Will. It seemed Gaia from the Type-Moon side had orchestrated this; she had tossed Kojou Akatsuki somewhere and then allowed the remnant soul of a True Ancestor—one who had already been torn apart by Arcueid—to attempt a possession.

What exactly was that person's goal? It was truly curious. However, their own World Will was now enraged. He just didn't know if the other side could withstand it.

Thinking of Asuna and the others, Ren Isana's brow furrowed. He immediately spoke to everyone in their minds. "Everyone, get ready. If anything feels wrong, run immediately. Something has gone wrong on Kojou Akatsuki's end."

Ren Isana's voice rang out in the minds of everyone in the class. Those who were already asleep were startled awake. Everyone's pupils shrank—something went wrong with Kojou Akatsuki?

"What happened to him, Class Rep?!" Kojou Akatsuki's best friend, Motoki Yaze, frowned and hurriedly asked Ren Isana in his mind. What had happened to his brother?

Looking at the twitching Kojou Akatsuki on the ground, Ren Isana sensed his condition. After confirming he was just temporarily weakened and otherwise fine, he silently took out his phone and snapped a photo to share with the others later.

"He was almost possessed, but it's fine now. Just be mentally prepared. If you don't feel safe, you can come back... no, come back right now!" As Ren Isana spoke, he suddenly paused and urgently commanded everyone.

If a fight really broke out over there, Asuna and the others would be hostages. They couldn't stay any longer; they had to return immediately!

Hearing Ren Isana's words, everyone was shocked. Without any hesitation, they activated their [Spatial Mark] one after another to return to their own world. Asuna and Yukino Yukinoshita exchanged a glance and then nodded.

Suddenly, Asuna remembered something. She looked directly at Arcueid and said, "Arcueid, we have to go back. Do you want to come with us? Something has happened on our side!"

Hearing Asuna's sudden invitation, Arcueid blinked. But soon, her eyes lit up and she agreed immediately. "Sure, sure! I'll go with you. I'm actually very curious about your world."

An intermediate world? If she could go and play, that would be great. Arcueid naturally agreed wholeheartedly; she didn't want to go back to the Millennium Castle to sleep anymore.

During this time, she had become very good friends with Asuna and the others. Arcueid wouldn't refuse an invitation from a friend!

Having obtained Arcueid's consent, Asuna stepped forward and grabbed her hand, then activated her [Spatial Mark], causing them both to vanish from that world.

Gaia and Alaya were somewhat confused as they saw these people suddenly leave. What was going on? Why did they leave so abruptly? They were especially perplexed when they saw Arcueid being taken away.

They didn't understand what was happening at all. After all, they didn't monitor these people every second, so they had no idea what Ren Isana had told them. The two of them could only watch helplessly as the group left their world.

Just as everyone left that world, the expressions of the two World Wills changed drastically. A furious voice suddenly boomed from the direction of Ren Isana's world: "Eat my elbow strike!!"

She didn't hesitate at all and started the fight immediately. You two pieces of trash actually dared to lay a hand on my people? Did I let this batch of seeds go over there just for you to ruin them? You even wanted to perform a possession? Then let's see if you can handle my elbow strike!

"Are you crazy?!" Alaya felt the power rushing toward the Throne of Heroes and let out a sharp, exploding scream. Why was this person suddenly going insane?

Gaia, on the other hand, felt a great sense of foreboding and became mysteriously guilty. Thinking of that boy leaving early, and then the others leaving suddenly, followed by this woman attacking... could it be that her little tricks had been discovered?

Was it really that big of a deal? He was just a human. She just thought that boy was very suitable to be a vampire and had made some small adjustments. Was it worth being this angry?

But it was likely useless to say anything now. The opponent had already attacked. She would have to deal with this person first and then worry about the rest. Whatever compensation was needed, she would pay...

"You made them all come back?" Natsuki Minamiya naturally sensed it the moment Ren Isana told the students to return. She saw all the [Spatial Mark] being activated, and a flash of surprise crossed her eyes.

"Yeah, I estimate that person went over to start a fight with them, so it's better to have everyone come back for now. We can't leave them there as hostages. I'm going to go bring them back; this kid is in your hands."

After Ren Isana said that, he vanished from the spot.

Natsuki Minamiya nodded thoughtfully. Given that person's temper, it really was possible—after all, she had been furious just now. But this had nothing to do with her anyway, as she didn't need to participate.

She looked at Kojou Akatsuki, who was still twitching on the floor, and immediately spoke to the doctors outside. "Perform the surgery on him directly. Don't even bother with anesthesia; he probably won't wake up for a while."

Kojou Akatsuki's vampiric urge still needed to be addressed. They already had a plan: they would transplant the rib bone of a True Ancestor into him to turn him into a complete True Ancestor. Vampire True Ancestors weren't unique to the Type-Moon world; their own world had contact with others that had them as well.

Since the process couldn't be reversed, they would make him perfect. That was the treatment plan they had devised. The soul issue was resolved; now only the matter of the physical body remained. One could only say this kid was lucky, as he was quite compatible with that True Ancestor's rib bone!
