We all continued eating then Kelvin started to cough loudly after eating the peppered meat. I ran straight to the fridge to get some cold milk and I then poured it into a glass and gave to him drink
"So you still care about me" Kelvin said still trying to cough after drinking the milk.I wanted to give him a dirty slap but I could not. Then I replied with a sentence I wish I did not say during the dinner.
" I know you don't like spicy food so that's why I care"
I wish I could replay this moment again and take back my words but it had already happened so I just sat down and continued eating.
After the meal, I took the dishes and went to the sink and started washing. Then Kelvin came and said
" I'm happy that they're both happy. I have not seen my mum this happy for a long time". For the first time in my life, I saw him so soft. I always knew he was a mummy's boy. While we were dating, he told me that he lost his dad in a car accident when he was 6 and ever since then he has been his mom and he. Kelvin then joined me in doing the dishes and we actually got along for a while until he said

He looked at me with words of affirmation and smiled. When we were done with the dishes, we went straight to the living room where we saw our parents cuddling and almost kissing . It looked somewhat disgusting but I held my vomit.
When they saw us, they separated and I said under my breath,"Thank God".
Kelvin looked at me and gave me an awkward smile, then I went to sit on the one seat couch.
It was quiet in the room for some time then my daddy broke the silence when he knelt down on one knee. Kelvin's mom stood up and started smiling and my dad said "Will you marry me Miss Stones". I was about to throw up because I did not expect the proposal to come this early but they did then I started thinking about how to keep my secret from two more additional members of my family when I finish thinking I saw my dad,Kelvin's mom and Kelvin smiling and celebrating. I went to bring some champagne for celebration. I was neither smiling nor frowning I was just in a straight face because I did not know how to feel.My dad on the other side was happy and then Kelvin's mom was also happy and then Kelvin,I don't know what he was feeling but I felt like I was the odd one out in the room. I brought the champagne and my dad took it poured it into the glasses and made a toast 'To my new family" he said after we took the champagne. Mr Stones suggested to be played a board game and my dad agreed so we played till 10:00 p.m. before Mrs stones and Kelvin left the house.
