Chapter 56 - Open

Three small boxes.

Three sets.

Their mouths stand agape, their hearts beating wildly.

Who wouldn't want something like that?

And the stats of each one is more than what they had in mind.

Zypher, using his Enchanter sub-class, made the armor a bit overpowered, to a certain extent.

For example, the Blood Phaser, which can phase the user through walls, has one set that was triple enchanted.

Duration Extender, Cooldown Reduction and Charging.

Duration Extender says it all, it extends the time someone can use the said skill.

Cooldown Reduction is self explanatory.

While Charging, is a unique enchantment. This enchantment, when the ability is done cooling down, it sends it to another cooldown, stacking the skill.

It means the player can use two Phasings in succession, plus it has a Duration Extension.

So, it can be said that a player may be in an infinite loop of Phasing if they just time their skills right.

And they drooled over it.

An item set that can basically be the best in the right hands, but is good even in bad hands.

And there are two others with it.

"Are you satisfied with the products?"

Zypher asked as he retrieved the items back to the boxes they belonged to.

"Products?"

Randolph's eyes glinted.

"Yes, products."

"So, you mean, you are selling these?"

"Yes."

Risha, who heard this was also saddened by the news, but she did not show it.

Just her ears.

"But I will be giving the Blood Phaser, the one that you ordered last time."

Her eyes brightened up as the set was once again in front of her.

Stars formed in her eyes, her mouth drooled in expectation, and her ears are flapping like crazy.

If the ears were wings, she would've flown away by now.

"That's only triple enchanted because your payment was lacking."

The silence was so loud that you can hear a pin drop.

Every one in the vicinity had their heads turn to him.

Like they heard the funniest joke.

'You triple enchanted a set, but the payment is not enough? What's gonna happen when you have a full payment.'

Their reactions gave them away.

That very instant, the eyes of a merchant, scammer, salesperson and entrepreneur lit up.

"Oh, I have more sets in my box. Do you want to but it?"

The bait.

Silence once again won.

"Is.."

A small voice said.

"Is what?"

Zypher answered.

"Is it also enchanted?"

The voice, which asked the question, gained approval of everyone. It looked like everyone has the same thing on their minds.

"Nope."

Zypher smiled, killing their flames.

Sighs escaped their lips, but they can't do anything.

"But I can sell it to you for a lower price."

The sinker.

As he said that, an eager voice asked back.

"How much, Mr. Blue?"

Hope was reignited within their hearts.

"1000 Cadet Points."

Rollercoaster.

That's how their emotions went.

They thought all the items were theirs.

But they were wrong.

And now, they can buy it, they don't have the ability to have it.

Their frowns were etched to their faces, their disappointment coloring their canvasses.

"I can give one free enchantment every purchase."

The hook.

And that was when the frenzy began.

Each and every one lined up, like a store stocking up their best sellers.

The store was made, and in less than a few sentences, Zypher earned a high-yield businesss.

He was basically a rich tycoon in this place with these.

"Oh, before I forget, an additional Enchantment costs 250 Cadet Points."

The uproar after the silence is as ear-deafening.

After a few hours of bartering, enchanting, and selling, Zypher was now left alone.

"There, I saw him go there!"

"Hurry, or we won't get our own set."

"Master, we have some Rank 2 Enchantment Scrolls here! Please, just sell us one set!"

Or should we say, he escaped.

From the sheer volume of sales, he won't be defeated.

But by the needed Stamina, Concentration and Energy from doing one enchantment, he won't be done even if the Knight Exams are finished.

There's still a good news though.

His Enchanter sub-class is now at Beginner Rank.

And, that's the Rank 2 of the Sub-Class Ranks, which means that the offer - Rank 2 Enchantment Scroll - is a steal for him.

In Project: Zerø, a player can't just make things out of nothing. They need a recipe for it.

For Zypher, this is also a thing.

But because of his future knowledge, he created his own scroll, and decided to take the ones he needed first.

Also, creating a recipe is free in this game.

Just like how chefs just put their own variety and skills into a cookbook, the recipes for the things inside the game follow along the same lines.

That's a cheat ha created for himself.

Though he wants to get that scroll, because, what if it is a good scroll he wants? Or he could make plans from it?

They say that the more you know, theore curious you are in more things.

But, Zypher did not budge.

He covered his ears, and although the 1.8 APH is betraying him, this act just made his heart rate go down.

"I FOUND HIM!"

Suddenly, a shout, loud enough was heard in the canyon where he was hiding.

Zypher was rattled, shaken upon the "demise" he will suffer if he got caught.

'I don't want to die from overworking.'

{Are you dumb? Why create something you will never use?}

'Huh? Do I have something like-- Holy Moly, I am a genius.'

He then took a small semi curved ear cuff, and put it in his earlobe. Another one is a set of it, worn on the same ear, the diamond earring.

Upon wearing it, a notification appeared in front of him.

"Here!"

The door where he was hiding flung open.

But behind the said door, was nothing.

Not any item, not any person, not any breathing.

Just the still air.

This made the soldiers' morale drop down.

Unbeknownst to them, someone is watching them from their backs.
