Chapter 4: A broken World
The sky shimmered in violet shades. The kingdom looked magical—yet empty.
"Beautiful… but cursed."
Lyra turned. A boy stood behind her.
"I'm Kael," he said. "You shouldn't be here."
Lyra frowned. "Too late."
"What happened here?"
Kael looked at the distant castle.
"The queen tried to protect us… and lost control."
Lyra tightened her grip on the map.
"Then we fix it," she said.
Kael sighed.
"You don't understand what you're walking into."
Chapter 5: Shadows Everywhere
The streets were silent.
"Where is everyone?" Lyra asked.
"Trapped in shadows," Kael replied.
A shadow moved beside them. Lyra stepped back.
"That's not normal."
Kael gave a dry laugh. "Here, it is."
She looked at him. "Why stay?"
"Because someone has to remember," he said quietly.
Lyra smiled softly. "You're not alone anymore."
Kael didn't reply… but he didn't walk away either.
Chapter 6: The Shadow Queen
The castle doors opened on their own.
Inside, darkness moved like smoke.
On the throne stood a figure.
"Welcome," said Queen Vaeloria.
Lyra stepped forward. "You caused this."
"I saved this kingdom," the queen replied.
"By trapping it?" Kael snapped.
Vaeloria's voice trembled.
"I was afraid."
Before Lyra could speak, shadows surged forward, pulling her into darkness.
Chapter 7: The Trial of Fear
Lyra couldn't move. Voices surrounded her.
"You're weak…"
"You'll fail…"
She shut her eyes. "No…"
"You're afraid."
"Yes," she whispered. "But fear doesn't control me."
A soft glow appeared within her.
"Hope does."
Light burst out, breaking the shadows.
Lyra fell to the ground, breathing heavily.
The darkness was gone.
Chapter 8: The Truth Revealed
Vaeloria collapsed.
"I only wanted to protect them…" she whispered.
Lyra stepped closer. "You hid them too well."
Kael looked around. "The shadows are fading."
The queen closed her eyes.
"I lost myself in fear."
Lyra said gently,
"Then choose differently now."
For the first time, the queen looked hopeful.
