During the time that her Familia was in the dungeon, Aurathia had made her way to the tower, ready to fight both politically and physically for a decent name for her child
"Alright, you know how this is going to be" Aurathia mumbled to herself "just get in, get a name and get out, don't give them a chance to get revenge for all of the training I put them through back in the divine realm"
Pushing open the doors, Aurathia came upon what could only be called chaos incarnate
"I've got it, he uses a black sword that looks like it could absorb even the monsters soul, I say we call him 'the soul stealing swordsman'" shouted one god
"Bah, that's a low level name, your imagination is lacking" countered another god "I've heard that with his dark armour that he isn't visible until the last moment, he should be called 'the one who comes from the dark'" he suggested
"Enough about that level 2, we need to come up with a name for the new level 3, he was originally given the name 'the professor' as he knew everything about all the monsters he came across and we couldn't come up with anything better, but I have found out that while he was level 2 he would go into the dungeon following groups so that he could watch from the side to get that information, as such I believe we should change his name to 'the stalker' proclaimed a goddess
"No! how did you find out about that" cried a different god
"That reaction" multiple gods and goddesses smiled at once
"The name change is decided, 'the professor' is now 'the stalker'" proclaimed Loki with an evil grin from the main stand "now back to this dark swordsman"
"NO! my poor child" a god broke down in tears
"Well this is even worse than I had heard it was" Aurathia stated as she sat down by Hephaestus
Hephaestus offered her a wry smile "Believe it or not this is still pretty tame, there's no high level adventurers who have ranked up recently from what I have heard, that's when things really go wild"
"So what are the chances that my kid actually gets the name that I have prepared for him?" Aurathia asked
"Unless you have some way of convincing a whole room of gods who revel in coming up with the worst names imaginable, with Loki being a part of the group this time, slim to none" Hephaestus replied
"I figured, but this isn't exactly the first time that it will be my thoughts against the rest of the gods" Aurathia smiled, remembering back to the time she managed to convince the whole divine realm to build her a training area "So how come you're here? I haven't heard of any of your kids levelling up"
Hephaestus sighed "It's a rule that every Denatus that one sensible god is chosen to reel in some of the names that the gods and goddesses chose for the children, and this time I was the unfortunate soul that was chosen"
"My condolences" Aurathia patted her on the shoulder "please tell me that I'm not one of the goddesses that is on the list of those who can be chosen" she hoped
"Fortunately until you have lived on the surface for at least a hundred years a god or goddess can't be chosen, so you're good for another 100 years, but after that, you are a lot more sensible than most of the gods and goddesses that are currently down here, so for then, my condolences back" Hephaestus patted her shoulder back
"Oh my oh my, what do we have here" Loki suddenly proclaimed mid creation of a name that was about to cause a god to have a mental breakdown "Aurathia, I heard that your kid had reached level 2, and at a decent pace as well, now then, what kind of nickname shall be give him"
"Call him the 'training dummy' someone who is able to keep up with Aurathia's training on a daily basis can only be a dummy" called out one god
"Call him the 'harem king', one guy surrounded by a bunch of girls, there's only one thing that could be going on between him and them and I've never been more jealous, they're all good looking" suggested another
"How about we call him 'dead weight'" stated Apollo "I hear the only reason he is so strong is because they have training him and that he himself isn't anything special and that it is the girls that actually have the skills, with that being said, Aurathia, is there any chance that you would be willing to let those fine young ladies join my Familia, I feel like they would fit in much better at my place than with a woman as... um... devoted to training as you are, they do not seem to be the type who would suit such gruelling training"
"Apollo, do you want me to come over there and kick you in the balls?" Aurathia asked with a serious expression
"Yeah Apollo, your Familia isn't worthy of those ladies" Loki agreed "now if it were my Familia that they were to join"
"Loki, do you want me to come over there and kick you in the balls? you might be a woman but I'll find a way" Aurathia asked again, shifting her gaze to Loki
"Fine no poaching your members for the moment, and I believe that a good name for your child would be 'henpecked', it's pretty obvious that it's probably what he is" Loki stated, gaining approval from the others
"I actually had a name in mind when I came in here" Aurathia stated
"And why would we let you chose your own kids name?" Loki queried
"Because it comes from the name of a new development skill that my kid has, and I think it is pretty appropriate for my child, I'll even be gracious enough to tell you what the skill does in order to convince you" Aurathia smiled confidently
"A new development ability" the gods and goddesses murmured amongst themselves
"Oh, and what does this new skill do pray tell?" Loki questioned
"It's an ability that I believe only I can cause people to gain" Aurathia explained "it allows similar types of skills to combine together and become more powerful, for example if 2 fire magic skills were to be created, it would be able to fuse them together reopening a magic slot, or it could combine skills such as magic resistance and strong defence into a single more powerful skill that would increase the defensive power more than both of them on their own"
"Such a powerful skill" Loki noted with a frown "but one that requires a lot of skills in order to be effective"
"Yes, and due to training with the other members of my Familia it has been shown that Nero is able to learn a wide variety of skills from them each, and as my Familia grows this skill will only become more powerful" Aurathia proclaimed proudly
"So, what's the name of this ability that you want to name your child after" Loki asked
"He learns from me and the others in my Familia, giving birth to the ability because of what he is to us and has been to us, he is our 'disciple'".
