Chapter 2 - Part 2 – The Call of the Mountain

After many years of meditation, Male Mahadeshwara received a divine vision from Shiva.

In the vision, Shiva said:

"Go to the sacred hills. Protect the people. Build a place of faith where peace will live forever."

Following this divine command, Male Mahadeshwara walked through forests and mountains until he reached the holy hills now known as Male Mahadeshwara Hills.

At that time the forest was dangerous. Wild animals and dark spirits frightened the villagers. Many people had abandoned their homes.

But when Mahadeshwara arrived, everything began to change.

He meditated on the mountain, and his spiritual power filled the forest with peace. Villagers slowly returned, and the hills became a sacred place.

Yet Mahadeshwara knew that darkness could return one day.

So he chose 77 brave followers to protect the land and spread devotion.

These warriors were not only fighters—they were devotees, protectors, and servants of the people.
