The deduction impressed him more than it worried him, since he had always assumed a soul the system pulled back out of the Veil would read as an ordinary living one to anybody who bothered feeling for it.
Juna had been a living person once.
Allen was earning the title people kept attaching to his name.
"Yes," he answered without putting any weight on it, "she is a summon. That is my power."
Juna gave the confirmation nothing, her eyes steady on Allen while one ear turned to track a sound out in the corridor.
The Guildmaster leaned back until the chair took his weight, then something close to hunger came up through the tiredness in his face.
"Fascinating," he muttered with his chin coming to rest on steepled fingers, "I have read every record the guild keeps on the Summoner class."
