YO: —No, mejor volvamos atrás.
En ese momento me alzó en brazos. Como era pequeña, pesaba muy poco.
YO: —No, mami, déjame ir, no me lleves allí, ¡ahhh!
YO: —¡Ábrelo, mami, no te vayas!
YO: —Mi madre me dejó aquí sola... me abandonó.
ME: —My name is Ángello, you can call me Ángel if you like... And what's your name?
GIRL: —Ah, my name is Dina.
ME: —Nice to be your friend.
DINA: —Likewise.
Throughout the day we were in various activities, such as introducing ourselves. Since we were all little, we only said our age and name. Then they gave us recess, during which I spent my time talking to Dina.
(Recess)
ME: —Dina, come on, let's go to those benches.
DINA: —Yes, let's go, wait for me to take out my food.
ME: —Food?
DINA: —Yes, my mom gave it to me.
ME: —Mine didn't give me anything.
DINA: —If you want, I'll give you this chicken sandwich.
ME: —No, that's too much... I'm not hungry.
DINA: —Oh, I see.
While Dina was eating, I said:
ME: —Dina, do you have siblings?
DINA: —Yes, I have an older sister.
ME: —Oh, wow.
DINA: —And do you have siblings?
ME: —Yes, I have three... four with me.
DINA: —Do you have a sister?
ME: —Yes, I have one.
DINA: —Aha. What's your favorite food?
ME: —Uhhh, I'm not sure, honestly I don't think I'd ever thought about that. Do you have a favorite food?
DINA: —Yes, I like waffles.
ME: —And what is that?
DINA: —That is...
While we were still talking, we heard a bell and saw that the miss was bringing back the kids who were running all over the playground. So we automatically went back into the classroom. After that, it was time to go home.
It seemed they forgot about me.
ME: —Hasn't your mom arrived yet?
DINA: —No... What if she forgot about me? (Super nervous voice).
ME: —Relax, don't cry, she'll come very soon.
After 2 minutes she arrived.
Once I was left alone, I got a bit nervous and, to distract myself, I started walking all over the playground. I saw the empty classrooms, the paths, the garden, the bathrooms... At that moment I felt as if everyone around me had disappeared, because when I finished walking all over the playground I returned to my classroom, but when I returned:
ME: —Miss, did my mom come already...? Miss? (Speaking looking backwards).
ME: —Ah, miss... miss... Cristina...
ME: —Huh? What happened? There's nothing, neither her nor her bag...
Quickly I started looking for the miss everywhere, I couldn't even find her in the bathroom, so I started opening the doors of all the classrooms. I felt a terrifying silence, as if I were in a dream where only I existed; I didn't hear any car sound, not even the singing of birds, a terrifying silence.
ME: —Miss... miss... miiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssss...!
I shouted everywhere and heard no answer. Then, walking through the playground, I saw that the gate was half open, so I went outside. When I stepped out I saw that the whole street was empty, there was no one. In the distance I saw a white van, but I started moving away from the area, I more or less knew the place. And when I walked away... someone grabbed me from behind and covered my mouth, then put me in the van and I screamed and screamed and screamed...
ME: —Ahhhh...!
MISS: —Ángel, what happened?
ME: —Miss, are you here?
YO: —No... recuerdo.
MADRE: —Lo entiendo, eso suele pasar.
YO: —¿Qué soñé...?
A lo lejos veo una furgoneta blanca.
YO: —Eh, mami...
A MÍ: -....
