Chapter 45 - Hello.

It had been four hours since they first got thrown in. the satisfaction from the pineapple and bread, had only left them sick and in pain. Lukas was holding his stomach and mouth, trying not to let anything come back up. Nicola was slouched, still where he first sat down, just reliving everything that happened for him to get to this point.

"Oh goddd…" Lukas groaned and moaned, but silently to not disturb what Nicola was thinking about in the moment.

He looked around the place, to see if they could call someone to help them. But nope, just wall, and wall, and wall, and wall all over. His eyes were starting to need a mandatory break from looking at that shitty light for more than four hours, so they decided to shut themselves on their own. In complete contrast to Lukas' previous wishes. As they shut, Lukas' mind relaxed and relaxed, every second feeling way more warped than the last. His mind was also starting to wander more and more, making the world around him completely incoherent. Just like that, he was out like a light.

After a while of feeling like he was nothing, and no thing. Lukas finally opens his eyes, to see that he's back in the weird forest like last time. This time, it looked to be the afternoon with the orangey-red sky, and the lack of a visible sun. He got up onto his two feet, and looked around at all the animals around him. They again, were dead-set on his person, with their glowing eyes as always.

Thankfully for Lukas, he remembered the path he took, it had a lilac planted to the right of the path. He again went down the north, or south path; and each step made the place get dimmer and dimmer. After a certain threshold, the humming sound began.

It immediately made Lukas' skin crawl, as he picked up the pace and started to slowly jog his way over there. The animals were still following him, or that's what he thought based on last time around. The humming kept getting louder and louder, almost to the point deafening Lukas again. At some point though, the light shined through the trees, as it basked Lukas in all its glory. His mind was getting overwhelmed by everything that was going on, to the point of tripping on the same thing he did last time.

He turned onto his back, and was horrified by all the animals, looming over his body. He scrambled his way upward, and ran as fast as he could over to the light. Even though he couldn't see anything. He just kept going, until everything felt super numb. Like he was nothing once more.

"Oh… It's you again…" Lukas heard the faintest sound of someone, or something's voice. It felt like an echo in his memory. Lukas' vision and hearing slowly came back in waves. Meaning that he could open his eyes again.

He coughed out some dirt that was left in his mouth, and got up off the ground, to see that he was back in the grilling area. Everything about it stayed the same since when he first went here, almost like it was frozen in time.

"Are you… just going to… ignore me…?" The thing finally was able to get Lukas' attention. With him quickly turning around, and staring at the distorted area where its face should be. "What did I tell… about staring for too… long…" Lukas remembered what it told him earlier, and looked down at the thing's torso instead. A tentacle reached out to Lukas, and gently brushed his hair. In which making him feel instantly relaxed. "Sit down… for a moment…" A chair in front of the thing, appears as soon as Lukas blinks. Even though he'd seen something like this before, it still surprises him nonetheless.

He sat down on said chair, and slouched on it. The L.E.D. lights all over the place illuminated his face and clothes. The air felt much warmer than from when he was last here. It was really jarring when he got here. The thing looked at him up and down, and sighed from the state he was in. His hair looked to be clumped together from how matted it was; his eyes had huge bags under them also.

"You look… troubled… Am I correct…?" the thing slowly said. Lukas nodded his head.

"I feel… overwhelmed…" Lukas admits. "I feel like nothing that has happened was in my control… like I'm being strung along some twisted man's plan…" He put his left hand onto his forehead.

"I see… Well don't worry child… everything will be done in whatever favour you deserve…" another tentacle came out from behind the thing, and caressed Lukas' cheek.

Lukas shuttered from the cold, dead feeling that the thing gave off onto his own skin. He felt like a zombie was cuddling him. He tried to move the tentacles away from his body, but they wouldn't budge at all. They felt motionless at some times, like they were a moment in time that he could feel around in.

"Let me caress your body… I feel humans like you are so wonderful… I love all of you guys so much…" Lukas noticed that the conversation was going off topic; but the sensation from its words made him forget about that stuff. Then, his soul relaxed more, and more, and more, until it was too late. He was starting to drift in and out of consciousness. His vision, even though was already hazy, got worse and worse as the seconds flew by. His hearing deafened and clogged as his hands and feet, and every part of his body felt numb and flying through space. He looked at the thing and it mouthed out something that he couldn't clearly get. The only part he thought he knew, was:

Persevere, though everything imaginable…

"Hey! Wake up!" '

Lukas jolts upwards at the sound of Nicola screaming into his ear. He bumped his nose on his shoulder, and immediately felt it. Blood started to come out of it, but none of them had any paper towels. So they just both sat there, and didn't know what to do now.

"What were you dreaming about—"

"Nothing."
