Chapter 32 - Woe-ing Window Wearings

Mary, who was the old lady, was sobbing into her laps. She was doing this whilst sitting on her knees on the hospital bed. She had on this wedding dress for some reason, as she was mumbling something about her marriage.

Milo was amazed at whatever the hell she was looking at. The dress seemed to be in pristine condition, with only Mary's tears ruining the fabric.

Milo slowly stepped her left paw, past the marker of where the door would be closed. She made sure not to disturb her sorrows as well. Even though she would probably get away with it.

Mary looked up from her now stained dress, and stared at the mirror right beside the bed. It seemed to have been placed there by her.

"W-why haven't you come back for me yet…" She said in between sniffling and sobs. She got up from the bed, and rubbed the part of the mirror that sees as her head. "W-what I'd give up, j-just to see you again…" her tears start back up again, as she leans onto the mirror. The thing leans back because of her weight, almost falling over and shattering on the ground, but she held it in place.

"Ruff!" Mary screams after hearing what seemed to be a dog, coming from right beside her. She turns her whole body left, and comes face to face with the little girl.

"Oh! H-hey there!" Mary's eyes were moving all over the place. "Aren't you the dog that that smug kid was h-holding?" Milo gives her a tail wag to the left, signaling a yes to her. Mary didn't really understand what that tail movement meant, but she assumed that the dog meant yes.

Mary sits herself back onto the bed, and Milo runs up, trying her best to jump up onto the mattress; but failing miserably. Mary had to pick her up, and place her onto the bed herself. Which damaged Milo's pride.

"Woof? Ruff! (what 'chu crying for? You old hag!)" Milo tried to communicate with her, but Mary couldn't understand dog language. Milo also knew that she couldn't understand her, but she tried anyway to see what would happen.

Milo was distracted by the bug nest in the corner of the room. They all were running around the place, and doing bug activities. Milo wondered what they could taste like, since she's never seen whatever species that were before. The walls of the room were just like the one down that hallway. The liquid from beyond the doorway seemed to seep into this room, all gathering in the center of the ceiling, where it would drop onto the bed. Making a stain right behind her.

"H-hey, dog? Could you listen to my troubles for a second?" Mary asked her, but was clearly pleading with her with that elderly look that would break anyone's heart. Milo reluctantly wagged her tail left again, which made Mary crack a smile that screamed melancholy.

"So, dog. You're probably wondering why I'm wearing this dress r-right now…" She started with. "Well, it's because my memory isn't really the greatest when I'm outside. But when I'm inside, in the dark, and doing something to remind me of my late husband. It feels like I can finally think, and remember stuff again" she explained. "But at the end of the day, I still have to go out and buy groceries, my caregiver usually helps me with that when she visits me every week though…" Milo's mind starts to wander, since her story was so boring. Milo caught herself and stayed focused through the thing to not be rude.

"I a-also remember being some sort of CEO of a company like, 3-5 y-years ago? The memory's pretty fuzzy from my point of view…" Milo remembered Ethan something about the CEO of an A.C.P.D. or something. The memory was pretty fuzzy for Milo as well, since she thought it wasn't going to be important at the time.

Milo sits up from where she was, and struts her way over to Mary. Once she gets close enough to touch her, Milo starts to licks her tear stains off of the dress. Mary tries to get her off, but she's persistent.

"WHAT THE FUCK!" She looks up to see a very surprised Arthur, watching as it looked like Milo was licking her through the dress. Braxton was right behind him too, shaking his head in disappointment.

Mary immediately picked up Milo by the stomach, and put her to the side of her. Making sure to keep a hand down just so she doesn't try to come back.

"I-it's not what it looks like! She j-just came up to me!" she swore to god that Milo wasn't doing what they thought she was doing.

Arthur then gagged at the smell of the room, which apparently hadn't hit him or Braxton yet. Milo thought it was because of her amazing smell, acting as an air freshener.

They both looked at the horrid state of whatever this room was used for. There were chairs and other furniture, piled up on the right side of the room, and looking like they were about to blow away into dust. A family of cockroaches were also settled into one of the corners, doing whatever the hell roaches do on a day-to-day basis. The mirror on the left side, also seemed to be smudged like hell.

"What's going on in here?" Ethan comes in with Maria. "Oh hey Mary!" he waves at her, with Mary waving back.

Ethan pushes through the rest of them, to get into the room. He noticed that Milo was just sitting there, trying to claw his way back to Mary, who was stopping her with her hand. "What are you doing all the way in here?" He asked.

Mary was stuttering. "W-well I just wanted to r-relive old memories! T-that's all!" she said while the dried up tears off her own face.

"Well, how about you come with us to the kitchen? I have something to discuss with you about your past CEO position…" Ethan extents his hand. Which Mary shakenly takes. The rest of them make some room for the both of them to walk out, hand-in-hand. They slowly walk their way out of the stinky hallway, with the others following not far behind. After they made it out of the hallway, Mary started breathing heavily again. Just like when she was in the receptionist area.

"Whoa! Are you okay?" Ethan asks.

"O-ok! Just give m-me a minute to c-compose myself…" She says.
