"This isn't what it looks like," Do-hyun said quickly, already on his feet, putting distance between himself and the couch like the space itself might undo what Jae-min had just walked in on. "I was just trying—He pulled away before it went any further. I shouldn't have—I'm sorry. To both of you."
Jae-min didn't answer right away, standing in the doorway with the key still loose in his hand, his expression giving away nothing.
"Jae-min." Jihan was up now too, voice tight with urgency. "Let me explain—"
"You don't need to explain." Jae-min's voice came out steady, calmer than either of them seemed to expect. "I trust you."
The words landed heavy in the room, and for a moment nobody moved.
"You're not—" Do-hyun looked between them, visibly thrown. "You're not upset?"
"You wanted have your answer," Jae-min said. "It sounds like you got it."
