Character Profile: Julian Vane
The Background
• House: The Vanes (A "minor" Pureblood family). They weren't famous like the Blacks or rich like the Potters; they were quiet researchers.
• The Tragedy: During the height of the First Wizarding War (around 1981), Death Eaters targeted the Vane household looking for research notes. Julian's parents were killed just weeks before Voldemort fell.
