CHAPTER 29
Some time passed
Under the silence of the night sky, he just sat there, next to his sleeping lover, helplessly staring desperate to see any movement, twitch, a sound, anything.
As his hand hold his ever so dearly, but the fear never faded away.
The hands that gave him the feeling of being cherished and warmth was now somewhat cold.
"Ethan …. please wake up"
His voice broken, terrified. He felt alone as his tears wept, in this cold white room holding his lover's hand. Then a promise formed, so twisted it sends shivers down his spine
" Ethan from this day on, your life starts and ends with me"
Joah climbed onto the hospital bed creaking slightly as he gently held Ethan in his arms, the feeling of his lover's warmth felt reassuring in high contrast to this white lifeless room
Then a familiar voice called his name
"J-Joah?"
His heart raced as he saw Ethan smiling weakly at him.
"Ethan!"
A call filled with tender relief and gratitude as he held Ethan more firmly, as if afraid he'll disappear. To him, losing Ethan is equivalent to suicide.
moments after, the doctors concludes there's is just mild head concussion and injury, as the sound of the doors closing leaving only Ethan and Joah in the room
"Ethan what were you thinking? why did you risked you're life for some…nobody!"
The sound of Joah's voice only made him guilty, just by the tone Joah was genuinely pained and worried
"I had a reason Joah-"
" then tell me Ethan, what's a reason so important for you to risk your own life"
tears slid from his face, not even able to look into Joah's eyes
" the kid wouldn't have survived ok his body would've been severely injured-"
then Joah held Ethan again his tears slightly damping Joah's shirt
"Then what about me? Ethan I love you so much it became the reason why I'm selfish okay, I don't care you have morals Ethan, if you're gone what will you think I'll do??? live??or find another? no that won't do"
Ethan couldn't but to look up, Joah's expression, the once comforting gaze became unsteady with a near manic expression
he felt his grip became tighter
" if you ever do anything reckless again Ethan, before you know it your world will be reduced to four walls with us…only us living happily ever after"
then a barrage of kisses landed on Ethan's with joyful intent
"once we get back at the dorm you're going into cuddle jail with extra pampering and we'll watch cute puppies and don't worry I'll cook macaroni soup and I'll chop the veggies so small it's a size of the salt deal my love??"
Ethan nervous about Joah's how Joah was looking at him before his sudden sweet tone
"s-sure"
meanwhile on the way back to their dorm
"Joah put me down!! people are staring"
