Chapter 2 - HIS BEST FRIEND

He stepped out the study invigorated. His dad might not spend a lot of time with him or something of the sort but he did try his best to make each second count though. It's just unexpected and hard to believe for some but being a king didn't stop him from being a father.

Prince Ethan Cole headed down the stairs to the living room. Everything was screaming royalty. Modern, romantic but still intimidating. The living room opened into a vast, modern palace space where polished white marble gleamed under soft golden lighting. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed the skyline beyond, their sheer curtains drifting lazily like whispers. Minimalist cream sofas sat in perfect symmetry, accented with gold-lined tables and a single grand chandelier that hung like frozen light. The beauty was soft, almost inviting, yet the scale of it all felt overwhelming, every carefully placed detail reminding him that this wasn't just a home… it was power dressed in elegance.

As he approached the last staircase his guard captain Jason walked in and it seemed he had news.

" Your Highness, your friend is her to see you." He said and left with a dignified bow. And signaled the guards and servants to give the two friends privacy and they all slowly left the scene as he descended the last staircase.

"Hey, so..." His friend Francis said raising an eyebrow.

"What are you expecting? Oh I missed you! Ugh" Ethan said rolling his eyes a bit arrogantly.

" Oh my humble prince, accept my prideful apology" Francis said with a pretend bow that made them both burst into laughter.

"This is ridiculous. I have to be at Hasen soon. I can't afford to sit around."

" Then let's move around, I'll hitch a ride with ya you know. I have a lot of things to say to you but more importantly I'll soon be able to introduce you to my girl, Aura." Francis said looking all excited at the thought of her being back.

Aura was a girl who became Francis girlfriend a few months back when he took a trip to the Victorian. The Victorian is a City close by the city central but not too close it's a 7 to 9 hour drive. As for how the met up he keeps defining it as fate, but Ethan begs to differ. It sounds more like him having a one-sided crush first and then approaching a girl who never knew about his existence until he made himself known. Whatever made her choose him he doesn't know but he would like to find out who she is and put a look to the name he already knew. They have been having this long distance thing after Ethan left the Victorian. It's been going smoothly so far the occasional meet and the conversations over the phone but that's all it's been to it. Ethan could swear they had done nothing very intimate yet.

"Okay, let's go then" Ethan said wanting to see what more is in store with Ethan's story of his 2 week stay at the Victorian with Duke Mason Sinclair's daughter and family.

"He'd been promoted. They'd be coming here this weekend and she'd be attending our school" Francis said with a smile looking forward to it.

Their school was a very classic royal and high society dominated School. If she hadn't been in a school close to that she might find it hard to fit in. But of course as his best friend's girl Francis would sure make it comfy for her and help her adapt, and he'll be willing to lend the hand where necessary, for his best friend's sake.

As they worked forward heading towards the parking lot, Ethan thought ' Aura Sinclair plus Royal Elite Academy. If she's as demure and pure as his friend Francis said looking at her while in the school in his imagination, Ethan wasn't sure what to expect...
